this 2 anime have a lot of similarity :
- MC transfered to a Fantasy world and going on an adventure to fight the demon lord and his commanders .
- Same type of comedy though ''Kono Subarashii'' is more funny and focus on the comedy more while ''Mondaiji-tachi'' has more action and a lot of great fights
- charcters use magic as a type of power 
- both have 1 guy and 3 girl with different and unique personalities 
- both male leads are  smarte guys and have the same personality but one of them is overpowerd while the other is just a normal guy

They are similar in plot devices - the spell system. They both feature idiotic characters to be made fun off. 
Their story lines I think are similar. While  in Slayers the plot is better developed, in Kono Suba is really not, but they have the same style of plot holes and poor thought story. Comedy in them is very similar aka bad to very bad. 

If you really miss Slayers and want to see something similar, I recommend Kono Suba.

KonoSuba and KoreZombie share the following similarities:
Protagonist who is revived, to become Adventurer / Zombie. Which acquires magical abilities. He also lives with the person who revived him, a Goddess / Necromancer, who treats him as a servant. Meet two more girls, the magician girl who always boasts of his genius but has errors and the girl who likes to be mistreated by the protagonist / likes to mistreat the protagonist. In addition the protagonist thinks that its life of adventurer / school has been ruined thanks to the presence of these girls.  Is involved in various situations, with monsters from his world, attracted by power.But in the long run he is feeling an appreciation for them.

Both series feature the main character surrounded by women with different quirks. You can expect the MC to be the butt of many jokes, and the humour in both series is a delight and well constructed.

One major aspect that makes KonoSuba so appealing is that it takes several light novel tropes and cliches and just dicks around with them; it just has fun with them. And that's exactly what "Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?" does as well. Both series are aware of these facets and use them to their advantage. You may also find aspects of their premises to be similar (i.e., a regular joe gets involved with a goddess, a tough warrior chick, and a little girl with cool powers - shenanigans ensue).

Both are comedy shows with the same animation studio where the main character dies and is brought back to life in some way (Ayumu becomes a zombie while Kazuma is transported to another world). As a result, they find themselves in a world full of weird stuff and wind up living together with three strange girls. In both cases, these include a kind-hearted, armoured girl who can't stand to see anyone get hurt (Eucliwood/Darkness) and a diminutive magical girl with a temper as short as she is (Haruna/Megumin).

While both shows are extremely funny, I prefer "Is this a Zombie?", as it has better visuals and the characters are a lot more lovable. That's just me, though, and I'd say if you enjoy one, you will enjoy both. read more

Funny protagonist who was given the possibility to start again after his death by the help of a weird powerful girl. One was brought to another world while the other became a zombie. 
He gets often humiliated and have to do his job with a group of dumbasses to help him.

The hero/heroine expects to join up with an adventure guild and end up with "the party", only to end up with the craziest party ever. The hero finds himself doubting the power of his own group because there are skills such as a goddess who only learns party tricks, whereas the heroine of the other series thinks her partners are simply crazy in the head, to the point hilarity is sure to ensue.

If you like Fairy Tail you'll love KonoSuba, the anime very much so displays the aspects that appeal to most FT fans and make them love the show. If you enjoyed KonoSuba you will at the very least like the beginning of FT. Both these anime attract the viewers interest early on so don't worry about getting into them because you're going to know that this will be an anime you're going to relish within the first ep. Some factual similarities:
- Fantasy - The settings are also pretty similar
- Magic
- A Guild - Not focused on in KonoSuba
- Fun Characters
- Good Comedy - KonoSuba does a lot better with comedy but FT is good too

Guilds.Magic.Friendship.Bond

Fairy Tail and KonoSuba are similar in terms of the atmosphere of the show. Both anime exhibit a humorous ambiance because the protagonists of the two anime exert comedy appeal to the audience.

These animes included the concept of having a guild in order to complete some quests to gain money. Asides from this, the characters are displaying magical power as an instrument to complete their respective tasks.

Though I'm not the biggest fan of Fairy Tail, these two anime are extremely similar in world building, character interactions and overall adventure. Fairy Tail is a decent show, it's just not in my top 10.

Parodies of the isekai genre are sometimes hard to realize. 

Konosuba and Eminence in Shadow are not hard to perceive as parodies. While Konosuba takes a much lighter approach to its comedy, Eminence in Shadow takes a more dark, sadistic approach. 

The isekai genre is carried by its stereotypes and cliches and Konosuba and Eminence in Shadow execute these with 110% effort in the most ridiculous ways possible, so much so that it's comedic genius. Both feature producers, animators, and actors that know what the mission is and execute it to perfection.

Over the top Isekai comedies that will make you laugh, but in different ways.

While Konosuba is mostly comedy, Kage no Jitsuryokusha aka Shadow Garden also features a solid (albeit so far ordinary) plot, and requires more exposure to other Isekais to really enjoy the jokes.
Konosuba is light-hearted, while Shadow Garden has gory and darker aesthetics.
Shadow Garden features an OP main character that likes to appear ordinary, while Konosuba's main character is rather ordinary but would've loved to be OP.

Both are isekai anime, which have similar take on that kind of show. They don't take itself seriously and have some great comedy moments.
"Tensei Shitara Slime datta Ken is like Konosuba but with overpowered main protagonist" is how I describe it to most people.
If you enjoy either of these shows, you should check the other one out.

Aside from both shows being isekai, they have similar colour palettes and the same light-heated tone and cheerful cast of characters. They have similar styles of humour since both MCs played video games in their past lives and have similar personalities. The magic systems in both are also similar as they both are based on acquiring powerful skills to become stronger.

I may be a bit biased, but man I love this show, its my favorite show of all time. It is fantastic and has great world building. The reason why I think if you like Konosuba you'll like Tensura is because it has good comedy. It also bring you serious moments and awesome fight scenes with amazing animation and sound design. It starts slow at first but it does pick up and its paced really quickly if you're into that. Season 2 of the series is by far the best part of any series I've ever watched and reason being is it brings out my inner nerd. Season 2 is more on the darker/serious side compared to season 1 but still worth your time! That concludes my recommendation and have a good day :) read more

I'm surprised no one has recommended it yet. Both anime are about an Otaku MC who takes a mission in an alternate fantasy world. The heroines from both shows also look alike: a Goddess, a loli mage/wizard, and a blonde who's the tallest girl in the group. Both are action packed anime with comedy. The difference is GATE is about military while KonoSuba is purely an adventure in fantasy world.

Isekai. Konosuba and MT are both isekai anime, expect the same startup with that neet who gets reincarnated to a new world.

The trope is extremely common, so I will point out differences. Konosuba is a parody to isekai with the polar opposite MT being the very definition of how isekai should be made. The two actually appeal to those who both hate and love isekai, with its simplicity elevating it to great acclamation. 

Both are good fantasy anime quite a few people find themselves enjoying. Also, a ton of fanservice in both if you are into that.

What do you get when you mix Isekai, Fantasy, Comedy, and a perverted main protagonist? Well, these series apparently.

Similarities:
The main protagionists died from a truck accident and now they've been reincarnated into a magical fantasy world.
Perverted main protagonist who is the only reason why they are tagged as "Comedy".
Side-chick/s who sided the main protagonist.
Mild to insane amount of fanservice.
Antagonist is not fully developed and observable.

Differences:
Side-chick is useless while useful on the other.
Every other personalities, except being perverted, of the main characters.

Both the anime feature the protagonist dying in a generic isekai style. But both of them get teleported to a magic world. These anime moreover are of a perverted protagonist who tags alongside an annoying girl and then wishes to be in relationship with another girl. Both feature light hearted comedy with isekai fun nd magic fantasies.

Parodies of fantasy roleplaying adventures where the female party members are all comically flawed. The lead character is smart enough to realize how bad things are, but often just as bad. Both series feature a lot of sex based humour, albeit Bikini Warriors is a short and doesn't have much else where KonoSuba does.

Genre parodies and self-aware self parodies set in a fantasy world with RPG elements. The raid party is flawed and frequently fails, in a hilarious way. Both series also have large breasted blonde character with masochistic tendencies that is trying to get herself into humiliating situations.

High fantasy RPG parody with lots of ecchi moments. The humour and jokes they employ are very similar. 

KonoSuba is less ecchi and has a generic shut-in NEET MC, whereas Bikini Warriors by passes have a tsukkomi altogether to present all the RPG parody goodness with a healthy cushioning layer of enormous breasts.

Parodies many of the tropes of RPGs and the fantasy genre, both follows a group of adventurers who have several weaknesses and are low on funds. The majority of the time their adventures end in failure or some kind of mistake, but still will have moments of success. 

The most prevalent difference is the episode lengths, Bikini Warriors is 3 minutes per episode while KonoSuba is full length. Although both series have fanservice, it is more ridiculous in Bikini Warriors, as it's almost the basis of the show, but still of similar quality as they both share ecchi of the slime and monster variety.

Tons of fanservice, really just taking the piss out of the fantasy genre, not doing anything seriously and everything boiling down to boobs. If you are looking for some good comedy that gets to the point in what it is telling, look no further than Konosuba and Bikini Warriors.

While Konosuba is more a DnD and isekai parody, Meikyuu Black Company is a black (surprise, yeah?) comedy about the Japanese economy mixed with some SRPG references. Kinji is basically a grown-up evil version of Kazuma. However, Black Company has less fanservice and isn't a harem.

For a starter, both tell a story about a MMORPG like universe with a harem situation. So both have a quite similar plot, yet I would say without a doubt that 100-man no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru is better at every aspect. It has loveable main and supporting characters, exciting stories that will touch your heart, amazing sceneries, and enjoyable soundtracks. If you like this anime series you will definitely love 100-man no Inochi.

When watching I'm Standing on a Million Lives, I got some big KonoSuba vibes from it. Both of the stories are isekai if you're into that, although ISOAML is not a full blown isekai as they do transport back to the real world from time to time but most, if not, 97% of the screentime is on the alternate world. We have the main male lead and then the other main heroines just like KonoSuba. Fun little adventures and some really weird comedy but is interesting in it's own way. This show just feels Konouba-esque for me and although it doesn't throw comedy at your face every 10 second and is quite slow at first, later on it will start becoming more meaningful. You'll see what I mean. read more

Yuusuke is very similar to kazuma. Has a useless class, is very weak, has a useless party, and has a bad personality, but is smart and extremlly resourceful. He abuses the respawn timers, finds loopholes in the teleport system just to survive.
Since not all the mission are combat based, this means that befriending NPCS is a viable option some times. The MC always finds creative solutions to solve problems without ever needing the power of friendship, nor a op cheat.
The main difference is that this is not a comedy, and the useless party and classes really makes them struggle a lot

In both anime titles, the main character teleports to another fantasy world, where it is not sweet for him there, and travels with his friends around this world, and performing various tasks in order to survive, it is difficult for him to find his place in this world ... ...
KonoSuba is more fun and comedic anime, while Tate no yuusha no nariagari is more serious and more interesting to watch. Nevertheless both are good, you will like them, I recommend!

Both have the same setting and moods, not to mention the same type of story telling. Or at least in the sense that at first it seems like they have the same type of objective but then end up doing nothing with it through out the story. The characters and comedy within the story are different but they'll both give you a good laugh, and are different from the rest in the sense that they know where to hit on your funny bone to make you giggle or cry laughing.

In terms of the comedy, style presented, both go for an in your face style that is quick, loud and entertaining if that is your preference in said comedy. Character interactions are very similar in tone and attitude too but one must keep in mind that this style of comedy is character focus around said events, so basically, liked the character and the pieces will fall into place.

Both anime don't seem to take themselves too seriously and have a "scummy" main character as part of the show's recurring joke. The characters in Akashic Records are more true-to-life than konosuba, but the animation is just as pleasing to look at. Konosuba has little to no character development, but Akashic Records seems to promise that the connections between characters will change and deepen rather than having one-off episodes

Huh, for once I actually make a recommendation that hasn't been made by 10 other people. This surprises me, especially in this case because these shows struck me as VERY similar in many ways, if not in setting. Both have the feel of a sit-com, with very little overall arc. Really, not counting beginning and end, you could watch both of these anime in scrambled order and they might still work. Both also have characters that EXCEL in... well... being characters! The main casts of both shows more or less abandon tropes, preferring to parodize them instead. Not to mention, both shows are just REALLY FRIGGIN FUNNY. read more

Comedy. Last Dungeon and Konosuba have vastly different stories though in the same field of fantasy. In any case, the two execute their stories in a similar fashion in that they prioritise making things funnier than they should be.

Konosuba may be more to your liking in that case but I wouldn't leave Last Dungeon on the sides.

I'm surprised this only has a single recommendation as of the time of writing this. The two shows both contain a similar style of comedy. Although Magi has a couple darker themes in a few episodes the overall world is cheerful and filled with colors. Perhaps it would be more appropriate to recommend the Sinbad No Bouken spin-off since that one is more lighthearted (expect episode 1)
Morgiana/Alibaba's dynamic with eachother is very similar to the main konosuba casts interactions

Both of these have batshit insane comedy that makes the other shows in their respective genres seem tame by comparison in terms of humor and weirdness. Both of them have plenty of characters that are lovably idiotic as well. KonoSuba and Yuru Yuri are a blast to watch when you want to laugh and have some light-hearted but insane fun.

Konosuba is somehow a  2010s version of "Those who hunt the elves". Both include characters that thanks to magic appear in a "middle age-esque" world. 

And in both shows main characters will side with local habitants to deal with some missions that get really funny in the process. 

Main characters also get in trouble at least once with authority because of side effects of their missions.

Similar setting, similar circumstances, similar main character, similar humor, both funny isekai comedies. I just watched Tsukimichi's first episode and the anime it reminded me most of was KonoSuba. I think Tsukimichi is going to be more adventure-ish and a bit less comedic than KonoSuba but we shall soon see..

Konosuba apart from being an evolution to most of the Isekais in general, has everything that this series offers only that without incest, be it a better mood, better waifus, better battles and animation, it also seems to build a long-term plot , so if at least this series seemed decent, Konosuba will love it.

Both series have a comedy driven plot starting off with a goddess telling the protagonist they can carry out a single wish. The protagonists then decide to ask the Goddess to stay with them, leaving her in disbelief. Once the goddess joins the protagonist their power is reduced significantly forcing the goddess to adapt to her new environment.

However, whilst in Aa! Megami-sama! the protagonist continuous to live  in the same world and the Goddess is please to stay by his side. In contrast in Kono Subarashi the protagonist is taken to an alternate fantasy universe and the goddess considers the protagonist a useless otaku without any talent or ability.

Similarity Between them is having a god with you in the new unknown world, have to work your way through the beginning,  getting more trusted allies,  fighting the unknown. 
Also when it comes down to it kazuma and yukito are very much similar having the same attitude towards god and manipulating them.

Both have spot on humor that will make you laugh a lot. There is a lot more fantasy is KonoSuba then there is in Amagi Brilliant Park, but they both take advantage of their fantasy elements very well. If you liked one you will definitely like the other.

In both shows the protagonist either doesnt believe/makes fun of the god.
Both protagonist; smart and tacticalist.
Both shows' protagonist often has bad luck.

Even though Konosuba doesn't involve much romance into it, they both provide an eccentric wacky type comedy where the male protagonist is introduced to over the top wacky characters who changes his life.

Both of these shows start off with the pretense of having a story but quickly devolves into comedies where the main characters are incapable of accomplishing anything. Both also involve humor based on all the main characters being idiots. Milky Holmes is the funnier of the two.

One of the things which frustrates me about quite a few isekai series is a lack of realism in that many times the heroes simply have things handed to them without having to work for them because they are just so amazing, right? Well, in both of these cases the main character of the isekai does in fact have to work for their day to day needs and while in Azusa's case the narrative skips the hard work, she still works hard, and with Kazuma - well, he finds himself with the worst luck ever. So, for those looking for a change-up that the other offers from your typical isekai, check the other out. read more

Both are totaly crazy comedies focusing on guy taking care of hopeless fantasy girls. Guy is not perfect prince in Konosuba and I like that that we have a bit different view on the problem.

Needless to say, the world of KonoSuba and Onigiri takes place inside a game-like world. While the story of KonoSuba is to fight a Demon King in order to get the main character’s - Kazuma Satou – life back, Onigiri is about a group of girls fighting malevolent creatures called the Kamikui to stop them from spreading. Even though the specified goal is clearly different, they share a comical tone in which makes the viewer fall in love with the characters. For the most part, KonoSuba and Onigiri are self-aware. To elaborate, they acknowledge that the world is game-like. In KonoSuba, the lead role is male. Onigiri, on the other hand, doesn’t star a male lead role. However, it does contain a male and an abundance of colorful female characters with a unique personality like KonoSuba. read more
