I suggest you don’t worry too much about it, at least a third of the stacks with queer anime and manga simply consist of interpretations and headcanons, which even the authors themselves do not hide, using “?” sign next to the labels.

I find that the vertical entries are often pretty strange. Maybe the design choice tends to go hand in hand with other kinds of experimentation, because creating something just for phones probably means the audience is by default going to be smaller.

I can understand where you're coming from, but the system has worked well for me so far. It's just personal taste and relatively minor differences that put some 7s above others at the end of the day. There's no extra decimal system or qualifying data value that makes the final choice. Rather, among my 5s for example, the highest ranked 5s are those which I found passingly entertaining, whereas the lowest 5s I found boring. The highest 6s are good anime with a flaw holding them back, the lowest 6s are alright anime with a unique aspect that elevates them from what would otherwise earn them a 5. I don't know if that makes sense how I described, but it allows me to have Berserk (1997) as my definitive #1 and Vampire Holmes as my definitive last place (for now). To summarize, I feel like there can be enough differences between anime of the same rank to sort them accordingly.

As for the function I'm looking for, it is this- as things stand anime I rate at a 9 appear above those I rate at an 8, which makes sense. However, I'm not able to reorder certain anime within the same bracket. Like if I have two anime I've given the same rating, but I still prefer one more, I can't make one show up above the other. That is the way I have organized my personal, offline list, for example.

You know, you're not the first person to say that, lol. I think I'll do a big reformatting sometime soon, with new paragraphs under each content section. Glad you like what's in them though! The reason I haven't gone for paragraphs so far is because, in addition to MAL, I also have a huge note on my phone where I list my anime in exact order, since MAL doesn't offer more specific manipulation in that regard, or at least I couldn't find a profile style that does. Paragraphs in that notes app break up the visual cues for where each review starts and ends. You're right that paragraphs would make these things a lot easier to read on here though, lol.
