It's been a while since I've rewatched Ouran back in 2009 but I will never forget how it made me laugh and moved me with each character development. Truthfully, I've only seen 3 eps so far of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun but I've laughed and giggled in each one. I like the main heroine, Sakura, because like Haruhi, she doesn't get carried away into each character's unique world, and like in ouran, the guys are handsome, and plus, gekkan shoujo has their own Prince. (And Nozaki-kun's tall height and sexy short black hair reminds me of Mori-senpai.) I'm highly recommending this anime because of its high school  read more

I get a similar feeling when i watch wotaku, how the characters act, the humor, the music, the artstyle. so if you enjoyed nozaki-kun you will definitely love this show!

this show also revolves around creating manga bakuman makes shounen manga while gekkan shojou nozaki-kun makes shoujo manga also both series have romance, slice-of-life, and comedy as their genres

Although the premise for the romance is different, I think the character driven comedy is pretty similar and all the characters in both shows are very likable and distinct from one another. Gekkan Shoujo isn’t as over the top as Kaguya-sama, but the main female protagonists are top tier when it comes to romcoms and either show is incredibly fun and easy to get into, both only having a single 12 episode season.

The same situation where it involves a manga artist and his assistant, except in one anime it is the guy who is going after the girls while in the other anime it is the girl who is going after the guy.

Both titles are character driven comedy. Both titles have little girl befriend deliquent girl with cute side. Both titles posters looks alike. Nozaki romance is main plot while Tanaka is in the background.

Both stories are about a girl who is in love with a very dense guy too absorbed in his workhobby. Comedy is a main in both shows. The main heroines have a very similar personality

In a certain sense, Saiki can be considered as the "male" version of Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, since while Nozaki parodies the shoujo's tropes, setting and characters, Saiki does the same, only with works for the shonen audience. The only difference is that Nozaki is strongly focused on romance and sometimes are sentimental, while Saiki always remains a gag comedy with an unceasing parody and humor.

There are some similarities between these two animes: - Same type of humour with the heroine and hero being involved in ridiculous random situations. - One of the protagonists is completely oblivious of the feelings of the heroine. - One of the protagonists is a mangaka. - Extremely fun scenes involving bikes. - One character that appears to be a rebel/deliquent but has a sensible side. Personally I prefer GSNK because it makes fun about all shoujo stereotypes, but both are really fun so you will enjoy one if you liked the other!

Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shnai is basically Nozaki-kun, but without original manga's flaws. Definitely better than Nozaki-kun. If you watched Nozaki-kun, just watch Tadakoi.

Nozaki's protagonist's attitude is highly reminiscent of DKnN characters. Laid back, unobtrusive, and at the same time producing an unexpected amount of humorous turn-abouts in seemingly regular and mundane situations.

Different plots and characters but these anime have a really sweet heroine who tries her best in everything she does to show her feelings and the best friend of the hero which is a very good-looking popular guy but with a soft side. Comedy is always present and the romance in which there are always misunderstandings mostly because the hero is very dense. If you enjoy one you will probably enjoy the other.

Both have a very comical feel to them, and both are centered around romance. Tsurezure Children also focuses on various types of relationships.

they have a similar feel, set in school, a cast of unique characters, slightly absurd situations in nozaki revolving around manga and in d-frag around games.

Both are hilarious series, have an even amount of male and female characters, and have cute romantic elements. While Working is about restaurant life and Nozaki-kun is school life, they have the same comedic feel and are both very enjoyable.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is the romance version of Gintama. It has the same kind of humor. While it is a Romance, it spends its entire time making fun of the Romance genra, exactly how Gintama spends all of its time make fun of Battle genera. Both are 10/10 in the humor department. ... Similarities, hmmm.. They both take place in Japan.. I think. While not having much in common plot/setting/genera wise, IF you are looking for something that is fall on the floor spray milk out your nose funny, then go watch Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. Although GSNK has a stronger shoujo/romance feel than Nichijou, it is definitely more focused on comedy than actual romance. I wouldn't put it on the same level as Nichijou in regards to "randomness" but it has the same sort of "wtf?!" sense of humor without being crude or crass. It is a fun, somewhat simple anime. If Nichjou made you laugh, I would highly recommend GSNK.

In both shows, you can find: - A girl with red hair as lead character, both of whom are very attractive to look at (though with almost entirely opposite builds – Chiyo is small in both regular size and boob size, while Kobeni is taller and quite well-endowed) - A somewhat atypical, even unusual teenage romance (between either the leads or the side characters), the extent of which becomes more clear as the show progresses - A somewhat stoic, even dense male lead (which is mostly played for comedy in either show) - Interesting, funny, even quirky side characters. Also, Doga Kobo is responsible for the animation production in both  read more

These shows aren't too similar but they still have some similarities. They have magakas as characters, their humor is similar and they have romance elements. Main difference is the fact that Nozak-kun is not really reverse-harem while WatashiMote is.

Both of them have romance story that happen in their friends circle (and somewhat, they're connected each other). If you enjoy comedy in nozaki, then you will find same air in nijiiro (with more simple relationship, i think).

- Both stories are revolving around an expressionless high school boy/girl who's clueless about romance and even common senses but are writing romance manga. - Both are surrounded by unique casts with almost every one of them has their own pairings (they aren't harem) - Both has romance - Romance in Nozaki-kun isn't as serious as Sakurasou, since its strength lies at its comedy. Meanwhile Sakurasou has some romance.

Both follow a tale of high school age romance but presented in a comedic way poking fun at stereotypical romance tropes. I would say friendship among a group is also a main theme in the two shows. Easy/light shows to watch, not very deep Similar humor but I think Romantic Killer is more over the top

Both are hilarious comedies with well written characters. They have different plots and settings but both are relaxing to watch.
report Recommended by aujisama
Both shows are slice of life comedies with a fair amount of focus on romance, even if they aren't overt couples... yet. These shows excel based on the fun dynamics presented in the chosen pairings, strong comedic expression, and a warm loving feeling associated with watching these characters. The largest difference comes with the difference of setting, as My Annoying Senpai focuses mainly on adults in the workplace while Nozaki-kun follows high school students.

High school rom com with super dense male lead. Thought no one could be as dense as Nozaki-kun? Meet Kubota Junichirou. And vice versa.

Misunderstood relation. Chuunibyou and Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun follow misunderstood protagonists who end up forming a relation due to that misunderstanding. Though it isn't clear with Chuunibyou at face value, Rikka is a misunderstood chuunibyou character who is paired up with a normal student Yuuta. Nozaki-kun follows a misunderstood Sakura becoming a manga assistant for Nozaki. Both anime are stories which tell how misunderstandings can bring around the strangest of pairs. With both anime being rom-coms, Chuunibyou is about chuunibyous and Nozaki-kun is about publishing manga.

Both series are about moving into a new environment. The main protagonist from both series becomes acquainted with another character whom they have a crush on but struggles to tell their true feelings. On the other hand, that very person has a very dense personality who is hard to get close to. Nonetheless, the development attachment of both series' main character is evident as they spent more time together. There is also a decent amount of humor and diverse cast of characters of various personalities. Recommended for fans interested in slice of life comedy.

They are both parodies of their own genres. Romance or action I think it doesn't matter as they are both hilarious.
report Recommended by bimbambusse
Although Nozaki-kun focuses on a manga artist and Binan is about magical boys, both series are full of wacky, often sarcastic humour that doesn't take itself too seriously. They both take the tropes common to the genres they parody (shoujo manga in Nozaki's case and mahou shoujo series in Binan's) and turn them upside down to create fun comedies.
report Recommended by nerfbuns
Binbougami ga! and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun are both hilarious and will have you gaining a six pack by the end of each episode. While Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun has a romantic undertone (or overtone rather?) to the storyline, Binbougami Ga is focus on the character development of both the protagonist and the supporting character. If you like the humor in Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun (I mean if you don't, then why else are you watching the show?) then I would be surprised if you didn't enjoy watching Binbougami ga!.

Both series have an unusual, hilarious cast. They're slice of life feel good comedies. They involve romance but that's not actually what the focus of the show is. Both are character driven with art and inspiration playing a huge role in the plots. Listen, I just died laughing multiple times during both of these shows. The humor is great. Kuragehime is more about the character journey, but Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun hits the same funny bone.

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this yet, but Love Lab and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun fit together like two peas in a pod. They both rely on parodying shoujo tropes to--successfully--make audiences cry with laughter. I guess the main differences is Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun features more the interactions between the male and female characters while Love Lab is more focused on the the sisterhood formed between girls who are just trying to get guys' attentions. If you liked one give the other a try. Seriously, you (most likely) won't regret it.

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun gives me the same feels as Uramichi Oniisan. Both have a memorable, lively & wacky cast of characters. Both are much of the slice of life genre though there's a hint of romance in the Nozaki-kun series. I find the art style quite similar as well and if you like one you'll enjoy the other.

2 prime examples of romcom anime done right - an entire cast of interesting characters with comedic traits - genuinely funny scenarios w/out use of awkward ecchi moments - fast-paced laugh out loud jokes - protagonist who isn't completely defined by her attraction - the chase (not the resolution) is the central focus although gekkan shoujo has even less actually emotional moments than lovely complex

Net-juu no Susume feels a lot like Nozaki-kun. Both are essentially about a group of people united by a common interest with a very cozy romance going on inside it. Morimori is a lot like Mikorin in his shy state, and that indeed makes her a great main heroine! Nozaki-kun is a bit more into comedic side of romcom, and Net-juu no Susume is more on the romantic side. Basically, if you loved one on them, another is a must-watch.

Huh, for once I actually make a recommendation that hasn't been made by 10 other people. This surprises me, especially in this case because these shows struck me as VERY similar in many ways, if not in setting. Both have the feel of a sit-com, with very little overall arc. Really, not counting beginning and end, you could watch both of these anime in scrambled order and they might still work. Both also have characters that EXCEL in... well... being characters! Do you like anime that makes fun of shoujo troupes? then both of these anime have that similarity. While they have different settings and plot, each one of the characters is dedicated to a troupe. Both shows have the same style of comedy. Both are romcoms revolving around a shoujo mangaka setting. Both have three couples as well as supporting characters. They have the same atmosphere overall - light and cutesy. The main characters are very similar, as they both get embarrassed easily and have a crush on someone.

While both series, at a first glance, do seem to share few besides what constitutes a regular basis for romantic comedy shows, it is arguable they both make you feel in a similar mood. First off, two things that could stick with a viewership might be how the comedy lightens up any previous state of mind, and also how colourful the art strikes. On the one hand, we have a harem setting based on tutoring; on the other, two protagonists bonding closer by sharing a hobby. However, both shows permit the budding of a romantic bonding, with a tendency from our quintuplets to dramatise a bit? Let's  read more

I found these two similar mainly because of the several misunderstandings that occurred throughout each series; leading to multiple comedic scenarios. However, the misunderstandings are more extreme in Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun as though it is a character itself, it also occurs more often compared to Handa-kun. Both series also focuses on a group of characters in a school setting throughout each series. The level of admiration shown by the Handa fan group/ followers is also similar to the way Chiyo 'admires' Nozaki.

Both shows are in the romance genre, and the main girls are similar to one another. However, Fruits Basket has multiple love interests, and Nozaki only has one. Both shows are also more character driven then plot driven (at least during the first season of Fruits Basket, I dropped it after that so I can't talk about the rest of the show). Overall, Nozaki seems like a more modern version of Fruits Basket in some ways. If you liked one of them, you'll probably like the other.

Unrequited love. A Whisker Away and Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun both follow two girls who are chasing down a boy who they have a romantic interest in. Whisker Away does this with Muge constantly causing havoc to Hinode's peace. Monthly Girls' following Sakura helping Nozaki in his manga after a failed confession. Both are good rom-com anime with Whisker Away having the side of drama, Monthly Girls' just being pure comedy.

There is a strong emphasis on the creative process -- how manga/light-novels are inspired by the people around the author, and whether the authors actually understand the nature of the relationships they write about. Of course, there's also romance, confusion, strange people doing strange things, etc. In these areas the anime go in very different directions, but that's fine.

Saenai Heroine makes fun of visual novels, harem genre tropes, and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun ridicules shoujo genre. The difference is that Saekano has plot and character development, and not solely comedy, someone says it's a deconstruction of "school romance visual novels". They are not similar at all, but if you like one you'll like the other. (P.S. I think that's the real purpose of a recommendation, there's no point watching two identical shows, right?)

The only thing that can be said about these two shows? Expectations. We all have them, and this is especially true for stereotypes. Both series follows a mangaka and the art of making manga. However, this one is more of a comedy, rather than a realistic depiction. The characters are unique and enjoyable. There is some romance, for those of you that liked the romance in Bakuman.

Both stories revolve about a girl who tries to get close to her crush. But, it turns out that the crush is a dense person and cannot read the situations well.

Ah, certainly we adore stories and comedies that make fun of it's own genre and because they do, they shine even more. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun primarily focuses on the hilarious events of Nozaki trying to find inspiration for his manga whereas in Lucky Star, we just adore Konata's kawaii appearance mismatched with her love for anime/manga/games that extend to areas she should not be playing. All in all, the comedy in both series will have you laughing if not all the time, but at least once in each episode. The entire cast for both anime will also grow on you making you want for more  read more

Both are set in High-school. Both are really funny and light hearted anime Their is no main story in both, just a bunch of High-school friends doing hilarious random stuff. Both are Comedy, School, Shonen anime with a little Romance....

Both have the same director and series composer, so they share very similar comedic rhythms.

If you want a nice school comedy, with some flavor of romance, these 2 are very similar in that sense. They differ, though, in that while in Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun the relationships are all 1x1 and develop quite slowly, Haganai configures a Harem in which the girls all fight a cold war to win the main protagonist.
