I get a similar feeling when i watch wotaku, how the characters act, the humor, the music, the artstyle. so if you enjoyed nozaki-kun you will definitely love this show!

Both have a similar shoujo-esque feel to it. Quirky characters with only a few traits but they work just fine in the setting of the show and fill their roles decently. Inoffensive and lighthearted, both shows are basically the definition of "playing it safe" as far as comedy goes.

Both are slice of life rom coms in different settings (schools vs. workforce), but a similar feel and humour. Characters are all endearing with their unique 'obsessions'.

Both are comedy series with somehow a similar vibe. I have no idea why exactly.

Similar funny atmosphere. Romance is displayed and the characters love their hobbies and they are doing their hobbies every single day.

Otaku related romance that have eccentric couples in it as well their antics too.

I feel the same atmosphere as in Gekkan Shoujo. Also, you can easly link the main characters. The main diffrence will be the age of the characters : there are elder in Watoku.

Manga plays a huge part in both of these. While Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is in a school enviornment, Wotakoi is in a workplace. However, as both are romance, the characters in both animes bond over manga, and from there, their relationships grow. Both are a good watch and very entertaining if romance and comedy is your thing.

Both have characters who's love for anime and manga are significant in the show. Wotakoi touches on the anime and gaming side, whereas Monthly Girls Nozaki kun focuses more on manga.

Love is hard indeed. Whether it be following the dense dude or being classified as a social reject due to the hobbies you may have, loving becomes a harder thing to do. Such is an idea Monthly Girls and Wotakoi wish to explore. We have ourselves Wotakoi, the struggles of mixing real-life and otaku culture well enough to enjoy both concurrently. Monthly Girls' is an odd pairing about mangaka Nozaki who mistakes a confession, leading Sakura to follow him endlessly until something can change. Whilst both do indeed seem very overrated, it should be noted that the two don't aim to make an inflated romance, but a   read more

both have the weeb thing in them.

both are very slow burning romances where the girl is afraid to confess/progress her feelings/relationship with the guy. they have the same comedic feel to both and likeable side characters with side plots relating to manga/anime.

Unemotional characters would often be misunderstood and that's how the main characters, Nozaki-kun and Nifuji-san, in Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun and Wotakoi are like. Their apathetic appearances make them funny and their interactions with their "romcom partner" makes them funny to watch. They have a similar mix of friends of their own that are also interesting to watch because they have their own hilarious circumstances. They are both rom-coms but in a different environment: Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun is set in a school life while Wotakoi is in a workplace. Simply, students and workers as difference. Nonetheless, if you enjoy the other, the recommendation will surely be   read more

literally the exact same character's dynamics. both have boring main couples meanwhile, both have such hilarious side-characters that u'll care a lot. the plot isnt the same, but its really alike..... by the way, wotaku is really funny, but i didn't enjoyed gekkan. its upon to you to give it a try.

Both are romcoms where the couple grew closer to each other due to a common interest. The humor and the tone of both shows are similar.

Both are not-so-romantic romcom. With SUPERB, befitting opening theme you wont be able to skip.

The main similarity is the the characters, and both plots are lighthearted and humorous. The main characters are keeping their identities as otaku/mangaka a secret from coworkers and schoolmates, and this results in a lot of funny situations of misunderstandings.
