200th completed anime - Kiki's Delivery Service - 9/26/2017
I'm really into Science Fiction, Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, Drama, Supernatural, Police, Action anime. Sometimes I have a fancy for slice of life or even shoujo, but rarely do I watch those genres. I'm not a fan of sad shit, so there are only a few titles that fall into that category on my list.
Otherwise, if you're looking for an anime that fits into my main genres, then please feel free to browse through my list! I'm in the process of tagging anime with relevant genres. If you click "more" you will find my thoughts on the show under "comments." However, I just started doing that, so not many entries have any commentary.
As for my ratings, until my friend pointed it out, I did give mostly 7-10 ratings to everything I watched because if I didn't enjoy it I would drop it and I would rate based on enjoyment factor. I have tried to be a bit smarter with my ratings now though. Generally, this is what my ratings are based on: (I haven't given any weights to each criteria because there really isn't a standard for me; it varies show to show)
- Enjoyment
- Characters
- Character development
- Storyline/Plot and its progression
- Themes
- Art
Also if a show has a really great opening, I'll probably comment about it ! ^^

What do you plan on watching next?!
I love me some OP/EDs, they're a nice complementary piece to the anime when done right. I'm glad you like them :) More common interests is never a bad thing in my book. Do you have a top 10 favorites as well, or do you not bother? What I like musically change all the time, so putting together a concrete list is pretty difficult. Some days I like one more than the other. And I love Champloo's ED as well, if you look in the ED honorable mentions list it's there. Like I said, it's hard picking between them all. I just settle for the ones I could constantly revisit no matter my mindset.
A LOT of things make Proxy my #1, far too grand of a discussion to have with a brief explanation. But to put it in a nutshell, it's the most rewarding viewing experience I've had across several different storytelling mediums. Equal parts challenging, interesting and when understood, extremely rewarding. Left me at awe on more than one occasion, and even upon revisits, the experience still yield new discoveries. It's a pretty multifaceted piece of work and if you're into that kind of thing, It's damn near perfect for that. From the characters to the very meticulous story structure. I think it's the most misunderstood title in the medium. Too easily dismissed simply for a lack of comprehension. But then again, it's pretty fucking difficult to decipher if the viewer isn't use to that method of storytelling. It's a pretty niche appeal, far form accessible.
I never download any anime, I don't see the need to go that far to watch something lol I stream everything. Haha yes, that was actually something I quickly noticed looking at your favorites and anime list as well, it's actually part of the reason I accepted the request.
