Both shows have the same style of comedy. Both are romcoms revolving around a shoujo mangaka setting. Both have three couples as well as supporting characters. They have the same atmosphere overall - light and cutesy. The main characters are very similar, as they both get embarrassed easily and have a crush on someone.
The first time I watched Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun the feeling I got was similar to Sekaiichi Hatsukoi both center around romance and comedy with Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun more towards comedy.They also revolve around the shoujo genre with the main characters in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi working in a shoujo department while Nozaki kun from Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is a shoujo author. If you enjoyed one than chances are you will enjoy the other.They will make you laugh and give you a uplifting and feel good feeling.
