Saenai Heroine makes fun of visual novels, harem genre tropes, and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun ridicules shoujo genre.
The difference is that Saekano has plot and character development, and not solely comedy, someone says it's a deconstruction of "school romance visual novels".
They are not similar at all, but if you like one you'll like the other. (P.S. I think that's the real purpose of a recommendation, there's no point watching two identical shows, right?)
