Both anime have over the top gore and powerful characters, and both explore the meaning of being human and monsters fitting in among people. In my opinion, Devilman Crybaby does it a lot better than Elfen Lied.

Very similar main characters. They are similar in their personalities and appearance. Even their movements are similar. 
If you like the main character of this one, you should watch that anime.

Other characters have similarities too.

Similar  animation style and art in general.

Jujutsu Kaisen addpermalink

Both protagonists involuntarily became vessels to an op demon, but are still able to maintain control over their mind/body and remain "human". They use their powers to fight other demons for the greater good. Especially when others get hurt or are at risk, that's when they really kick into gear. Both series have great action scenes as well.

The main protagonist in both Ajin and Devilman: Crybaby are thrown into a life of darkness and possess a special ability (Kei being immortal and Akira Fudo becoming a demon). In both anime, the main character must gradually gain control of their newfound powers and develop into a more aggressive, formidable, and determined person. They both have a dark and gritty atmosphere and are loaded with violence, action, and blood. If you like one, you might like the other.

When men are cornered by monsters, it can be tough to distinguish the two. If you find yourself yearning for more violent mortality and characters of questionable morality, you might like a quick trip through Devliman CB. While AoT's ongoing story and mystery span seasons, you can get a complete story wrapped in a nice bow from Devilman's ten episodes.

two main male characters that has close secret relationship (with similar personalities ones quirky and energetic while the other is calm and collective), while in between a female character, also has similar settings and mysterious tense atmosphere. Both animes tended to revolve around the fight/struggle of society

These two titles are from Masaaki Yuasa and have a similar feel to them. These two anime have stories that are very emotional, tragic and dramatic with a unique art style. Both are a great pick if you want to see more of Yuasa's visual story telling.

Both have a story about what is good and what is evil.The impact scenes are very impressive,tho.Death Parade is the light version of Devilman.While Devilman:Crybaby uses many gore and death scenes,Death Parade uses the games of death to play with our feelings making us feel bad.

Both are short mature series with heavy emphasis on the occult and sexuality, censoring just about the bare minimum to not receive an R18 rating. Their antagonists are very similar in nature and goals and the protagonists have to stop them to prevent the apocalypse.

Humanity is under a threat of some of them being transformed into monsters. A duo of protagonists, one of them with the ability of controlled monster transformation and one of them in an advisor role tries to fight this predicament. Both titles are more adult oriented with violence, nudity and sex.

Koutetsujou no Kabaneri addpermalink

Devilman: Crybaby and Kabaneri appear to be in a similar subgenre to Tokyo Ghoul and Attack on Titan: a story where humans fight against a race of monsters that prey on them and a character becomes half-monster against their will. Both series contain a rather dark atmosphere and unique aesthetic, Devilman's being its flat and over the top, but often realistic action and animation. Kabaneri and Crybaby share a sometimes hopeless outlook on things and feature a character's views on humanity and the monsters. In both series, there is a powerful female main character that helps out the protagonist and contributes greatly to the plot, persevering through hardship. read more

Vampire in the Garden and Devilman: Crybaby have bleak storylines that explore the Us-vs-Them mentality between humanity and demons/vampires. Our protagonists in Vampire in the Garden are trying to break free from this the cycle of hate by escaping society, but are pursued because of it. Our protagonist in Devilman: Crybaby is trying to end the cycle of hate by overcoming hate and protecting society, but is persecuted for it. Both anime also has an underlying LGBT theme that motivate the main characters (Ryo/Arkira and Fine/Momo).

-Both have a unique art style that emphasizes movements

-The music is similarly amazing in both
-The mangas both are based off are cult classics in the industry.

Ao no Exorcist addpermalink

Both contain demons, with a main character trying to prove he isn't some kind of 'monster' and demons trying to take over the world.

Ao no Exorcist is a lot more light-hearted and comedic than the serious Devilman, yet both share similarities in their story which is why I think people would also enjoy both the Ao no Exorcist series'

Both are modern anime adaptions of classic manga. In both The Guyver and Devilman: Crybaby, the main protagonist can transform into a strong humanoid entity and must utilize their new superhuman abilities to defend mankind against monsters that can morph into humans. Both anime are extremely action-packed, with plenty of violence, blood, and gore. If you like one, you should like the other as well.

Devilman: Crybaby and the Berserk movie trilogy both deal with humans vs demons and have dark, mature content. Akira and Ryo have a similar dynamic to Guts and Griffith. Plus, both works are remakes of their respective original series and give an amazing new flavor while still remaining faithful to the source material.

Both anime are based on manga from Go Nagai. They both have a similar dark and gritty tone, as well as similar character designs. Both anime feature the main protagonist fighting against evil powerful monsters. They are also both action-packed anime with blood, gore, and gratuitous nudity. If you like one, you will enjoy the other.

• Produced by same studio ( Science SARU) so you will find similar aesthetic in art and animation in both the anime. 

• Both are R-rated series so it's better not to watch togather with family. 

• Main protagonist gets possessed by ghost aka. Devil and become overpower. 

• If you enjoy fast pace action heavy anime I will insist you to check out either of them.
