"I am the bone of my sword.
Steel is my body and fire is my blood.
I have created over a thousand blades.
Unknown to death,
Nor known to life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons.
Yet, those hands will never hold anything.
So, as I pray.
Unlimited Blade Works."

I guess someday I will have to go back and give it a chance to understand a bit better. I watched the first movie, and I enjoyed it quite a bit, but honestly, the franchise is not that appealing to me anymore. I am glad Horikoshi said there weren't any plans for a continuation. I will never understand how that school works, especially regarding the students in the Reservoir class.
I am not going to lie, at times I do enjoy a continuation, especially when it is about an anime, show, manga, book, or movie with a cast of characters I came to love. Nevertheless, I also understand that it comes at a great risk, may abuse the emotional sentimentalism of the fans, and the final product may end up ruining what once was perfect. Boruto for instance.
It's true that spin-offs can be as equally enjoyable as the original series. There are characters that are way too great, and for them to receive a continuation of their own story is perfect. Cells at Work Code Black was a great story for instance; in the original series we have cells in a nice environment, and in Code Black, we see cells at work in a place where survival is not guaranteed. I have also seen that several Pokemon spin-offs have been critically acclaimed by audiences and critics alike.
I don't know a thing about Ginpachi sensei, and I am eagerly waiting to see what will happen there.
I have seen Naruto has had several good Gaiden stories about side characters.
I didn´t know about Toru Furuya's case, and now that I checked what it was about I am speechless; this guy is horrible. I am sometimes shocked at how common child pornography is in Japan, and how little importance people give it; it's crazy because I think he is still publishing another Rurouni Kenshin manga. Do you know what is sadder and worse? Several popular manga authors supported him, including Eiichiro Oda and Yoshihiro Togashi, the authors of One Piece and Hunter x Hunter respectively. Apparently, the amount of CP in Watsuki's apartment was so big that authorities thought he was a distributor.
I haven't watched K-ON yet, but it is completely different from Bocchi the Rock; Bocchi is a comedy, and Girls Band Cry is incredibly serious and touches on different topics, such as abandonment, depression, bullying, and more. Don´t get me wrong, Bocchi the Rock is a masterpiece, and Girls Band Cry is one as well, but in different categories. Still, I recommend you to watch it if you like music anime series.
Are you talking about Jair Bolsonaro? He was quite a controversial figure; his Wikipedia page is half-life and political career, and the other half controversies. I am happy to hear that the military didn´t agree with his coup d'état. It's impossible to open some people's eyes, and they will be on the side of the person who is just known for causing issues and discomfort as long as it aligns with their old-fashioned views.
I don´t want to sound mean or disrespectful, but never a movie attracted me so little ever before. Like, how did he go from loving and standing as a superhero to using his image for evil? It doesn´t make sense. I don´t think I will watch it.
You know, there are several anime/manga that are finished that I still wish to see more of them, but Gintama is not one of them; as much as I hate to say it, I feel Gintama already narrated such a great story, and the author did a great job with the backgrounds of every single character that I feel Gintama is a masterpiece that shouldn´t be touch. It was an awesome journey, but continuing the main series would be like milking the franchise. I think I explained my point as bad as it could be hahaha.
I think I read something about the budget, and the promos for the final episodes did look, and I hate using this word, cheap; like, it seemed they used Paint. Don´t get me wrong, the final cour of Evangelion was fire, especially that episode where Rei dies fighting; that scene where her robot stands up giggling was creepy as hell. Hideaki Anno is a genius, but I guess fandoms being toxic is something that transcends ages. I absolutely loathe death threats and harassment towards the author; if it is for something horrible they did to someone else I can understand, but when it is because the fandom didn´t like a particular part of the story then I am on the author's part. Still, The End of Evangelion was a masterpiece.
Hahaha, indeed, I am also on vacation and I was finally able to see some anime I was eager about; I finished Girls Band Cry, Season 2-4 of Ao no Exorcist, and Bang Dream It's MyGO! to watch Ave Mujica. I am about to start Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun.
I still have several weeks left, so who knows what will come later.
Fairy Tail me tira risadas sinceras kkkkkj
How are things going in Brazil? I heard there were elections and chaos began in bigger cities.
I was right hahaha. Was he a true villain or just an innocent person who straight for the good path? Honestly, while I do like the trope of the villain turning into an ally, sometimes redeeming everyone is exhausting.
I remember when I first began to watch Gintama everyone was saying just give a chance for Benizakura to arrive; honestly, the story hooked you way before. I mean, the Inugami arc was gold even if it was just one episode, and it introduced the topic regarding the energy of the Earth like it was nothing, and the Umibozu arc was also fantastic, and a bit serious as well with what it seemed the end of the Yorozuya.
I read that the Kintama arc was receiving a movie, and while I am not a fan of compilation movies, I feel there were way better arcs to turn into movies before that arc.
I am not saying it like a complaint, just that style of animation where the illumination turns somber, there is focus on places where there aren´t people, and things feel eerie with train and bug noise outside. Did Evangelion have a low budget? I have heard so many theories that I don´t know what to believe anymore hahaha; still, I did notice how the final episodes were weird and received controversy at the time, but I don´t know I kind of like them; with that being said, I am thankful with the End of Evangelion and how great and dark that movie was, I am thankful that Kaworu appeared again.
Maybe SKET Dance suffered from that; the anime wasn´t that popular as far as I am aware even though it received one of the most faithful adaptations ever made as far as I am aware. Still, it wasn´t that good of an anime and it failed in increasing the manga sales. Personally, I hated how the main character never seemed to win.
Fish-man Land as in the arc where the Strawhats finally reached the underwater island? That arc was splendid, and a good start for the Timeskip. Tell me what you think about it after you finish it so I don´t get into spoiler territory hahaha.
Don´t worry, I don´t mind spoilers at all; I am not the biggest My Hero Academia fan, so I don´t mind knowing what happens. Please tell me, what the deal was with the evil All Might? Was it a clone or another person impersonating him?
Gintama is indeed a masterpiece. If I had the time, I would rewatch it as many times as possible; it is one of the few franchises to never have a bad arc. The Shogun Assassination arc was splendid, but I prefer Farewell Shinsengumi a bit more, alongside the Yoshiwara in Flames arc and the Kabukicho Four Devas arc. For real? What type of figure? I am glad you already received it; I love it when the products I buy arrive, it is a very enjoyable moment of the day hahaha.
SKET Dance is one of those stories where the MC gets constantly put down and never seems to get a win. Honestly, one of the last arcs made me a bit uncomfortable, especially with the animation that for some reason was similar to Evangelion.
The Arlong Arc was really great in terms of action, and emotional as well. I mean, it had good stories from the very beginning, but then better arcs began to appear, and the OG ones are not often talked about these days.
I get what you mean, and in a way, it would have suited the story quite a lot; like, making the story darker and more meaningful. I wish Horikoshi wasn´t afraid of killing his characters, the same goes for Tabata and Black Clover.
I was wrong, a new season for My Hero Academia has already been announced; I am surprised it isn´t a movie though, I really thought it was receiving the Kimetsu no Yaiba treatment.
I don´t know, I kind of like the trope where the characters fight their evil edgy versions, but this is My Hero Academia so I wouldn´t be surprised if Evil All Might ends up becoming everyone's friend and somehow has its own sad backstory hahaha. What did you think of it?
I don´t know in which episode of SKET Dance you are left, but you aren´t missing too much; I don´t want to sound like a hater, but it wasn´t that funny, the soundtrack wasn´t memorable, it had one good OST but grew overused quite fast. It had some good episodes, but not many to be fair. Gintama is such a masterpiece, it had one of the best-written cast of characters ever.
I don´t know about that, but according to Google the first four chapters of One Piece were an instant hit. Also, in retrospect, the Syrup Village arc, the Baratie arc, and the Arlong Park arc were three great arcs, with a lot of memorable moments and fights. It would be nice to watch a documentary about One Piece and its beginnings.
Thriller books tend to be great, I will see if I find a copy.
I know what you are talking about, I didn´t start watching the anime until season 3 because of the same reasons: I heard so many great critics that I gave it a chance and I enjoyed it quite a lot. The fight between All Might final stand against All for One was so captivating, and that OST almost made me tear up a bit.
You know, I am thinking the final chapters of the manga will be adapted into a movie since there is quite a lot of content left.
One of the things I love the most regarding Fairy Tail is how great the character's designs are; I especially love the designs of Oracion 6, Tartaros, and Spriggan 12 members.
I agree with your words that some people love hating simple stories and love thinking highly of themselves for watching psychological, avant-garde, or works that need you to pay close attention to details. I still remember a guy here on MAL who insulted me because at the time I hadn´t watched SKET Dance.
I still the main issue with Shonen is that the manga industry just wants instant hits; I was talking about this with a friend before, the WSJ, for instance, cancels stories that need some more chapters to shine, and wants instant hits like One Piece (which I love by the way.)
You know, I know I can be dumb and that is something not up to debate hahaha; and while I consider most people to be intelligent and capable of doing things I can't, Sonny Boy was quite a hard anime to follow and completely grasp. I feel it was too surreal at first just to throw such a normal ending. For it to be a metaphor for moving into a new stage of your life is the best I can sense.
Interesting, I read somewhere it was based on a book franchise, but not that he was a third-generation thief. I will try to give it a chance someday, I think I saw the anime name on Netflix.
I am so happy Boku no Hero is over; I was so tired of it for a while now, and since I gave the story so much time I didn´t want to drop it. I completely agree with you that teacher Deku was a good idea, that is the least salvageable thing. Everything else felt like bullshit, forgive my French.
Weirdly enough, while I was done with BNHA for one or two years and just wanted for it to finish, I still feel a bit sad; like, I am happy it is over, but I am sad to see it go.
I know, Fairy Tail is great; people hate it way too much. I feel it never had a bad arc, and the soundtrack is a masterpiece. I don´t read the sequel manga series, so everything I am watching in the new anime is completely new to me.
