Every thing JiU does is cute, so every GIF of her will be cute. Hahaha.
Honestly, I never understood why the win is so important to them, but I'm happy for them.
Btw, I think from win onwards, Ceo-nim hasn't done things right. He planned a US tour that will take them to many cities, but with very small audiences at each venue. He should have locked theatres with bigger capacity, considering that the fandom has multiplied over the years. When they won the second win, they were number 1 in world trend on Twitter.
Now they have announced that they will participate in Anime Matsuri, which is very unwelcome news for Insomnia because the event has such a bad reputation.
I think Ceo-nim needs to calm down, rethink the status of the group and see that they are no longer nugu.
No. I'm not a fan of the Hot Issue. I met them in the BEcause era as a result of BEcause challenge.
Btw, I was talking about Handong's friendship with other Chinese singer, and she automatically made a Maison challenge withthree of them.
I didn't know that story about Tzuyu. I think she is a beautiful girl.
I've read a bit, and I find it really embarrassing that they make such a fuss over a flag. The context is understandable, but sometimes they go too far.
Well, second win.
According to the predictions, it's all very even. In one analysis it's 40% for Dreamcatcher, 40% for its immediate competitor and 20% for the third.
Another analyst group give 55% to Dreamcatcher and 45% to the main competitor.
All very even.
I do think the members have grown very fond of the genre
Oh, PIRI, one of my favourite songs.
Alldaylong is a captivating song. It's the song I listened to most on the Summer Holiday album, even more than BEcause. Did you hear that JiU created it inspired by a hug from Yoohyeon?
Gidle has always been famous for their debut
I listened to a live of Rose singing a song she composed and she sounds way better, her voice sounded deeper and softer. I'm not sure why their company doesn't let Rose use those vocals live
Btw, did you hear that Hot Issue disbanded?
P.S.:Oh, by the way, I forgot to say that I love the friendship that Chinese women have in kpop. Handong, Tzuyu, Elkie... the list is long and almost all of them know each other and talk to each other often.
Not only that, but I think it's hard to see them ever completely abandoning that style for that very reason. The producers know that what brought them from nothing to fame were many things, but above all the rock sound and the dark concept, something that had never been done before in Korea (the difficult choreographies too). It was a risky gamble, and they have achieved something that I guess was unthinkable even for the ppl who bet on them.
When I watch old videos of the girls talking, they sound convinced that at some point success would come to them, that it just depended on more ppl listening to them and then their talent would do the rest. And that's partly true. If you think of all the groups that have been influenced by Dreamcatcher you notice that they are lacking. There are interesting groups like Pink Fantasy that sound rock, but they don't have the talent in their girls, they don't have the talent in their producers, so the product is good, but it's not at the level that Dreamcatcher shows. Pixy, Purple Kiss and some other groups showing obscure concepts don't end up exhibiting the maturity of Dreamcatcher.
Dreamcatcher has achieved an identity that I don't think they'll decide to end, but I'm also completely convinced that they'll never get back to the way they used to be. I mean, I see it almost impossible for them to return to the Japanese metal-pop sound that characterized them so much, I even doubt that they will return to themes as dark as The Curse of Spider storyline, but I'm pretty confident that they'll keep some rock and darkness. Their sound is becoming more and more pop, that's obvious. I guess it's something they've adopted since Summer Holiday. In fact, I can almost say for sure that the 'cute concept' of Summer Holiday was a test to see how the fans reacted. So, as they had record sales, decided to go for this more pop sound. It's true that they had been going for a rock sound with fusion since Dystopia, but they did it, IMHO, in a more integrated way, where they found the right way to assemble various styles without losing the essence. Now I think the sound is purely pop with only rock details. Something similar to what Tomboy is. By the way, GIdle may be a more famous group, but it's clear that they copied Dreamcatcher's style in that song.
Yes, I've done a lot of streaming, and listening to the song several times makes me like it with each repetition.
The choice of giving solo works for each member has been very good, I hope they make special clips of each one.
'Starlight' reminds me a bit of some 80s pop songs. I like it. It's not the first time they've experimented with old sounds, 'Can't Get You Off My Mind' sounds like 90s eurodance music and 'Alldaylong' is a mix of Japanese citypop with Luis Miguel music.
Handong's solo is nice. Siyeon's too.
I don't like SuA's solo because it has a very conventional sound. I don't know much about kpop, but it sounds like a typical crush group song to me. Frankly, I find a lot of resemblance with Pretty Savage.
Well, I don't really like Blackpink. I only like Rosé because I think she's the most vocally gifted in the group, and it really shows in the live performances (Jennie is the worst). They are all very beautiful (although I doubt Lisa's beauty without make-up) and their success can be explained by their visuals and the power of their company, but there are many groups that are better. In fact, Rosé is an average singer, not on the level of Wendy, Eunji, Solar, Siyeon or Yoohyeon.
I'm not resting yet. I'm collecting hearts on the apps, and I'm streaming like crazy because there's still a chance for a second win next week.
What I'd like is for them to release another Japanese album. Those tend to have more rock, although I see it complicated because they'll have to look for another company, since they cut ties with Ponycanyon.
Maison at the beginning I didn't like it, as I said, I missed a harder sound and this one has a lot of pop, however, the streaming made me listen to it countless times, and I'm liking it. It's not my favourite song of the group, but I like it, and every time I listen to it, I like it more and more
Locked Inside A Door is one of my favourite songs.
Of the solos, my favourite is JiU's solo. It's a very catchy song and conveys all of Minji's tenderness.
For is excellent. I love it.
Winter (Handong) I also liked it a lot.
Dami's solo is my flag, because it's the most rocking part of the album.
'Do Not' I didn't like it because it reminds me of Pretty Savage from Blackpink. I love SuA and I love Rosé, but I hate Pretty Savage.
I watched the live broadcast and found it very moving. Furthermore, I've been Insomnia for two years, and it hurt me to see them cry. I was happy for the victory, but seeing them cry moved me. I realized that it was a very strong wish for them to win.
Fighting.
