Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho

The Battles are strong, and in both series, the story arcs go across many episodes.

The characters are all well-developed, bad guys included. The protagonists end up going through some very dark times in both, and there is a hint of romance in both.

If you liked the protagonist dealing with his father (like in the final arc of YYH), then that works well for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood too.

Although Yu Yu Hakusho is a much older show, it still has the same feel of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. It focuses on the CHARACTERS(not gore or hentai etc), a major element of Fullmetal. In addition, there is strong characterization and twists/turns that will always keep you intrigued. In addition, if you are into longer anime Yu Yu Hakusho is for you. Although they deal with different worlds, both have a supernatural elements that sadly are not like our world, so there is a definite fantasy quality to both. Lastly, both of the main characters are constantly trying to make the world better or trying to prove themselves. They are loud, funny, and overall endearing. I highly recommend watching this show if you loved Fullmetal.  read more

Both shows revolve around strong main characters who have changed their lives: Ed losing his limbs and Yusuke...dying. FMA revolves mostly around Ed and Al as the main characters while YYH focuses on Yusuke and his friends. Both shows have extremely strong plot lines with little-to-no filler. Both have action, comedy, sadness, seriousness, and even a hint of romance. In both shows you get to see the characters develop and grow as a person where you can see the difference from beginning to end.

Truly, these two shows have the best story lines I've ever seen. No part of either show is boring, and you will want to re-watch them again and again. The biggest difference between them is their age. FMA:B came out in 2009, while YYH is about 20 years old, so the animation is a bit dated—but that doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a chance! :D read more

If you enjoyed this (like everybody else who's seen it) then you will enjoy.
They both are legends if you have not seen it before then please do yourself a favour and watch it it will blow your mind. They both have amazing character development,  they both have really good endings brotherhood being the better of the two and the battles are just fantastic it's really a must see.

There's seriously no way that you won't like Yu Yu Hakusho if you liked Naruto. Both shows are about a teenager who has powers and whatnot, and has to save the day from an evil menace by entering tournaments, foiling the plans of bad guys who've been planning a Machiavellian revenge scheme for years, and have to constantly pull a hidden/inner/bloodline/etc power out of their ass every few episodes.

These anime are about high school delinquents protecting their hometown from killers with paranormal abilities. In my opinion, DIU has a lot in common with YYH's Chapter Black arc due to its slice of life pacing, unpredictable nature, and the similar functions of Stands and Territories.

All the characters feel samey (Josuke is like Uremashi, Okuyasu is like Kuwabara) in a good way and each episode is addictive. Also using paranormal and psychic-esque abilities try to find a mass murderers.

The most distinct similarity between Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable and Yuu Yuu Hakusho is that they are both set in 90s Japan suburbs. Moreover, the cast of both shows are comprised of teenagers who fight against the forces of evil by using their supernatural abilities. 

Like Jojo Part 4, Early Yuu Yuu Hakusho also has slice-of-life elements in which the protagonists have to defeat the "villain of the week" through strategic and unpredictable methods.

This follows two teenage boys in highschool trying to solve mysteries and save humanity. The main characters have similar personalities. The authors are friends and did art for each other. Araki draws clear lines of inspiration from yuyu hakusho in this season. Definitely worth a watch.

Araki got some serious inspiration in Yu Yu Hakusho while making the part 4 of jojo, the archetypes of the two main characters in both animes are almost equal, being Yusuke and Josuke some kind of delinquent students and they have their closest friend, Kuwabara and Okuyasu being both of them dumb and kind-hearted, also Koichi got his entire design from the character Kiyoshi Mitarai.

Shaman King is a relatively forgotten series which was majorly influenced by Yuu-Yuu-Hakusho. The style differs from the older style utilized by Yuu-Yuu-Hakusho. Both influde quite a few battles and have a tournament.

Both feature a lovable cast of main characters who hunt non human entities terrorising average humans (demons in YYH and curses in JJK) for the greater good. 
Both have great premises, world building & art styles with classic OSTs.

The first thing which stands out for me is the similar styles. Second, both are action backed and involve a lot of fighting. Both series involves the MC not only growing over the course of the series but also gaining new friendships and alliances. Both series also tend to get overlooked at times when people discuss Anime, yet they are still enjoyable to watch.

They are both a series based on fighting. While in Kenichi he starts off weak and helpless, in Yuu Yuu hakusho, he starts off as a delinquent. However, theya re both relatively weak. In Yuu Yuu Hakusho, instead of fighting delinquents and other steet people, Yu Yu is a 'spirit detective' which essentially means he fights demons and such. In both shows they strive to get stronger and stronger. There is also a fair amount of comedy intertwined into both shows.

kenichi and yu yu  are fighting based anime      where the dude starts off as a nobody but then works hard and gets stronger per fight.  
also the soundtracks to yu yu hakusho and kenichi  are no stranger to jazz when it comes to musical scores playing in the background  not all but some of the ost in both these shows contain piano jazz   the only differences are the love interest in yyh is allittle more of a tsundere nagger where as in kenichi the love interest is a sweet girl..yusuke is a rude delinquent while kenichi is a conservative good boy kind of person..yusuke fights demons kenichi fights human badasses read more

Both are fighting shounens with long battles.These two have a way to confront the 	
subordinates to finally meet the head of the saga or a Tournament System like Dragon Ball's tournaments. Also both have nice drama moments and some GAR scenes.

 It has the feel of Yu Yu Hakusho in regards to it witty humor, fun characters, and jaw dropping action. Not to mention a very well written and casted english dub. Be warned, this is a very graphic anime.

Both are shounen action anime with carefree and independent main characters who nevertheless have a strong loyalty to their friends. Also I found much of the humor in both to be more situational and less slapstick than in your typical shounen genre show (though each definitely has it's share of both types.)

The main male protagonists are brash, but the female ones also share similar personalities. Both involve supernatural, but both involve gaining a group of comrades as the hero proceeds on their jounrney. One is more goal orientated than the other, yet both are action packed.

Yu Yu Hakusho is similar in its constant progression of shounen glory in which "good" faces off against "evil" and as the enemies get stronger, the characters of justice follow suite and up their powers with each battle and training they undertake.

However, I prefered Yu Yu Hakusho in its complex story line, but enjoyed MAR nontheless, and am confident if you like Yu Yu Hakusho you will also enjoy MAR.

Both are very iconic battle shounen with a heavy emphasis on action. Not only do they have likeable characters and cool battles, but also a pretty fast pacing without filler episodes. Also the way the characters fight (special techniques, power ups, etc) is very simmiliar.

This two anime series have the same adventure but The Hajime No Ippo it involves for sports..

Both Have a delinquent protagonist who changes his style by some factor and have somebody who always lose in fights for main. (In Yuu Yuu Hakusho are Kuwabara and in School Rumble are Yoshidayama)

Both main characters have a cocky, stubborn attitude that shows off their strengths and intelligence to out wit the enemy. Meeting up with new characters who get into conflicts with the main character but helps train and guide are protagonist to later on become companions to fight a much bigger evil. Both series have great action/comedy plus good character development as the stories unfolds.

The main protagonist is rough around the edges yet deep down has a heart of gold. The same protagonist struggles in keeping out of trouble, yet their knack of getting in trouble draws them into an unseen world. Their adventures lead to forming bonds with others, but saving both worlds.

The main protagonists of both series are antagonistic in nature but find themselves dealing with the supernatural after a tragic event of some kind. There is also plenty of action. The styles differ yet are still enjoyable.

I've always felt Nurarihyon no Mago was strongly influences by Yuu-Yuu-Hakusho despite one dealing with a human gaining supernatural powers and another who is a demon hybrid. The characters in both series are quite colorful, but the demons stand out as being unique as well rather than run of the mill generic like some other series.
