Favorite Genres Are: Action, Adventure, Thriller, Comedy, Shounen, Drama, Super Power, Fantasy, Supernatural, and Sci-Fi.
My name is Kenji (which just so happens to be Japanese), and I am 19 years old.
I was a high school student.
My pronouns are he/him/it/she/her/they/whateverispossibletoputonhere.
My I.Q is over 9000. I am very geniuz.
You will never see me rate anime/manga based on how much I enjoyed them. I tend to judge/rate from an objective standpoint. That's why my favorites tend to be dissociated from each other in terms of how I rate them.
Perfection is a myth. Anything I end up rating higher than a 9 will only usually be because of how much I adore the hell out of them and also because of just how much better they are objectively compared to everything else. Even so, nothing can ever truly be a 10/10 in my eyes, especially since regardless of how good something is, there will always be something better in the future, no matter if it takes more than a thousand years to be surpassed.
My hobbies are: Playing video games (notably games like Smash Bros), singing, doing voice overs (voice acting), eating good food, spinning pens/pencils, listening to music, watching movies/anime/shows, reading (manga/novels/etc), writing, playing basketball (formerly, but I still play it occasionally and frequently watch professional basketball).
I'm quite flexible when it comes to music genres. It doesn't really matter what it is, as long as it's not these specific ones: Country, Classical (some of it), Blues, Mumble Rap, Heavy Metal (The heaviest of the metal). Other than that, I could honestly listen to pretty much any genres. My favorites are Rap, Pop, Rock (especially classic rock) and R&B.
I only just got into anime in mid 2017; however, my very first anime was actually Dragon Ball (not Z). I watched it in 2015.
Subs>Dubs in general unless the dubbed version of a particular anime is famous for being better than its original Japanese counterpart.
I have a Youtube channel, but I don't upload too frequently on it anymore. I used to make some pretty "funny" Hitler parody videos (from the movie Downfall) and some gaming videos in the past. Feel free to check it out, but just know that there will no longer be new videos being updated on a daily basis.
"When does a man die? When he is hit by a bullet? No. When he suffers from a disease? No. When he ate a soup made out of poisonous mushrooms? No. It's when... he is forgotten." - Dr. Hiluluk (One Piece)
"Those who break the rules are trash, but those who abandon their comrades are worse than trash! If I’m going to be called trash either way, I’d rather break the rules! And if that somehow makes me anything less than a real shinobi, then I’ll crush all of the so-called “real” shinobi!" - Obito Uchiha (Naruto)
"I yearn for true gender equality. I have no patience for one who talks about female privilege when it suits them and then complains about someone "not being a man" when it's convenient." - Kazuma Sato (KonoSuba)
"ZA WARUDO!!!" - Dio Brando (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)
"I hate nice girls. Just exchanging greetings with them will get them on your mind. Start texting each other, and your heart will be set a flutter. If they call you, you're done for. Enjoy staring at your logs and grinning like a fool. However, I won't get fooled again. That's what your kind calls kindness. If you're nice to me, you're nice to others. I always end up nearly forgetting that. Reality is cruel, so I'm sure lies are a form of kindness. Thus, I say kindness itself is also a lie. I always ended up with these expectations. And I always ended up with these misunderstandings. And before I knew it, I stopped hoping. A highly trained loner is once bitten, twice shy. As a veteran on this battlefield of life, I've gotten used to losing. That's why I always hate nice girls." - Hikigaya Hachiman (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru)
"I may be dim, but it's always dark before the glorious sunrise!" - Kintaro Oe (Golden Boy)
"Omae wa mou shindeiru." - Kenshiro (Hokuto no Ken)
"Moving on doesn't mean you forget about things. It just means you have to accept what's happened and continue living." - Erza Scarlet (Fairy Tail)
"Hey villain? Have you ever heard these words? Go beyond!! PLUS.... ULTRAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" - All Might (Boku no Hero Academia)
"It is my perception that a true friend never relies on another's dream. A person with the potential to be my true friend must be able to find his reason for life without my help. And he would have to put his heart and soul into protecting his dream. He would never hesitate to fight for his dream, even against me. For me, a true friend is someone who stands equal on those terms." - Griffith (Berserk)
"The world isn't perfect. But it's there for us. Doing the best it can. That's what makes it so damn beautiful." - Roy Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist)
"Is there any man who needs a reason to protect his own children?" - Adam (Record of Ragnarok)
"Touch me... Touch me harder." - Shirotabi (Ghost Stories)
"Shirotabi, please forgive me for bringing you back to life. I know now that it would never work between us, as much as we wanted to, it could never be. Not because you’re a rabbit but because you’re black!" - Mio Imai (Ghost Stories)
"Think of a big, black man chasing you!" - Hajime Aoyama (Ghost Stories)
"Deadbeat dads are not cool." - Hajime Aoyama (Ghost Stories)
"A lesson without pain is meaningless. That's because no one can gain without sacrificing something. But by enduring that pain and overcoming it, he shall obtain a powerful, unmatched heart. A fullmetal heart." - Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist)
“The true measure of a shinobi is not how he lives but how he dies. It’s not what they do in life but what they did before dying that proves their worth." - Jiraiya (Naruto)
"I just keep moving forward.... Until my enemies are destroyed." - Eren Yeager (Shingeki no Kyojin)
"MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA! MUDA!!!" - Dio Brando and Giorno Giovanna (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)
"Urushibara Ruka. The mannerisms and voice of a woman. No. More feminine than any woman. But he's a guy. Taller than Mayuri, but so very thin. But he's a guy. Looks great in a miko outfit. But he's a guy. It's already twilight and yet, it's so hot. The cicadas are crying. But... He's a guy." - Okabe Rintarou (Steins;Gate)
"Uhh... hey mister. I am mad scientist. It's so cool. SONUVABITCH!" - Okabe Rinatrou (Steins;Gate)
"Have you ever seen a fierce animal you were sure would never bite? 'Cause I haven't!" - Roronoa Zoro (One Piece)
"You thought your first kiss would be Jojo! But it was I, Dio!" - Dio Brando (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)
"WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYY!!!!" - Dio Brando (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)
"RODA ROLLA DAAAAAAA!!!!" - Dio Brando (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)
"Being weak is nothing to be ashamed of. Staying weak, however, is!" - Fuegoleon Vermillion (Black Clover)
"The perfect being, huh? There is no such thing as perfect in this world. That may sound cliché, but it’s the truth. The average person admires perfection and seeks to obtain it. But, what’s the point of achieving perfection? There is none. Nothing. Not a single thing. I loathe perfection! If something is perfect, then there is nothing left. There is no room for imagination. No place left for a person to gain additional knowledge or abilities. Do you know what that means? For scientists such as ourselves, perfection only brings despair. It is our job to create things more wonderful than anything before them but never to obtain perfection. A scientist must be a person who finds ecstasy while suffering from that antimony. In short, the moment that foolishness left your mouth and reached my ears, you had already lost. Of course, that’s assuming you are a scientist." - Mayuri Kurotsuchi (Bleach)
"Youth is both a lie and a form of evil. Those that glorify youth are only fooling themselves and those around them and believe that their surroundings always affirm their actions. By using the word "youth", they twist and distort common sense and anything logical. For them, lies, secrets, sins and failures do nothing but add spice to their youth." - Hikigaya Hachiman (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru)
"Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!” - Donquixote Doflamingo (One Piece)
"If you only face forward, there is something you will miss seeing." - Vash the Stampede (Trigun)
"I'll take a potato chip AND EAT IT!" - Light Yagami (Death Note)
"People die if they are killed." - Shirou Emiya (Fate/Stay Night)
"Just because you're correct doesn't mean you're right." - Shirou Emiya (Fate/Stay Night)
"100 push-ups. 100 sit-ups. 100 squats. Then 10 kilometer run, every single day!" - Saitama (One Punch Man)
"I don't want to die. And... I want power too. But... Oh. I think I just got it... why he did that. Every last person I've seen was the same way. Whether it was booze, women or even God, family, the King, dreams, children, power. They couldn't keep going... unless they were drunk on something. They were all slaves to something. Even him." - Kenny Ackerman (Shingeki no Kyojin)
"There were no devils on this island, there were only people. We, these people we had not even ever seen, all of them, we decided they were devils." - Gabi Braun (Shingeki no Kyojin)
"There are many types of monsters that scare me: Monsters who cause troubles without showing themselves, monsters who abduct children, monsters who devour dreams, monsters who suck blood… and then, monsters who tell nothing but lies. Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others: They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they’ve never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them… because in truth, I am that monster." - L Lawliet (Death Note)
“Believe in yourself. Not the you who believes in me. Not the me who believes in you. Believe in the you who believes in yourself.” - Kamina (Gurren Lagann)
Nappa: "Vegeta! What does the scouter say about his power level?"
Vegeta: "IT'S OVER 9000!!!" - (DragonBall Z)

- or 0. This is not a proper rating that I would apply to any anime. It just means that I probably haven't watched it enough to know how it should be rated.
1. It doesn't take an intelligent human being to figure out where or what went wrong with this. All it takes is a brain, functional or not, to understand why it's terrible. They're the kinds of shows that are so unfathomably bad that it's almost impressive. The kind of shows that serve as a reminder to anyone making a story that they can at least create something that is better than whatever the hell this was supposed to be.
2. Horrible to the point of being utterly repugnant but not so terrible that it's the absolute worst possible thing to exist. It takes actual effort to make something so bad that it's a 1 at best, but these are usually the exact opposite. They're the kind of anime that compromise any sense of integrity and serve as nothing more than filthy cash grabs. Anime that are likely to be more personally dislikable than they are actually garbage.
3. So bad that its flaws entirely outweigh any of its merits. They have a tendency to fall face-flat and/or are very incompetent at carrying out whatever it is that they attempt to do. These are best described as dispensable titles that are only meant to entertain viewers with a not so well-established taste (looking at you, Sword Art Online) or viewers who are just looking for something to simply indulge in and is not something I would recommend to anyone unironically.
4. Sub-par at best. Most of the anime that I consider bad tend to have great premises but quickly show their true colors not long after they start. They may or may not be entertaining, but regardless of whether or not they are, they are still shit. These anime often rely on cheap thrills, poorly done twists, and even shocks just to keep the audience employed. The characters seen in this show are also pretty terrible and/or have no special qualities, and whatever great ideas it might've had are almost always scrapped. They sometimes make for great time-passers.
5. These are the kind of anime that are a little harder to rate. They are usually rated as such because while they did likely have a few/many notable merits (characters, writing, etc), they had a very glaring flaw or flaws that prevented them from rising above the norm (plot holes, execution/direction/pacing problems, etc). Often times though, that isn't the case, and it could just be your normal, run-of-the-mill, nothing really special kind of show. Because of that, it's hard to call them terrible, but it's equally as difficult to call them anything 'decent'. Most of the time though, these shows are actually a fun watch. Sometimes, they're just flat-out boring.
6. Decentish. Nothing too special aside from being a fun watch for the most part. Generally has cases of good writing along with slices of bad/uninspired writing. It's a weird score for me in general due to just how many "decent" shows could actually pass as a 7. Overall, recommended for the average viewer.
7. Competent in most regards. Isn't always creative or technically impressive as its execution and overall presentation are what stands out the most when compared to everything else. Never without any flaws, no matter how major or minor, but its strengths almost always override them. Could even sometimes be a 6, but a 7 is what is given to them because it usually feels more suitable.
8. Basically a 7 but on steroids. Its writing is not only competent but also something to admire. You can really tell that there was a great amount of effort and care that was put into its creation. These kinds of shows are up there as one of the powerhouses of its genre. The only reason as to why it wasn't anything higher was due it not having the exact qualities a great anime should have or maybe because it had a few errors worth noting.
9. Absolutely astonishing. These anime are the pinnacle of entertainment. They are ten steps ahead of other shows that came before them and many more that will eventually come after them. Whether it was its technical aspects that were handled with the uttermost care or was something that was unimaginably creative, intelligent and unprecedented, these are anime that I highly value and often reflect back on when I think of what makes a great show.
10. If a 9 is already a masterpiece, then a 10 is a grand-masterpiece. These are shows that far surpass certain boundaries for what could conventionally be considered "great". They're the type of shows that excel across all categories, never missing a beat. That's not to say that they are without flaws. It's just that they're so unbelievably good that any flaws it may bear are rendered irrelevant. They're not only something I acknowledge as being truly great but also something that I love to bits and pieces. This is the rarest score I would ever give to any anime, manga, TV show, video game, etc. because a 10 usually implies perfection, so I just settle for 9's instead.

Sorry my reply’s are so late I’ve been insanely busy. I liked the sub a ton and I think the dubs good too but it’s kinda more stupid humor with the dub rather than actually understanding the joke if that makes sense. And yeah bro I’ve heard GTO is amazing so I’m super hyped to get started on it. Yeah anime will never have that same vibe it used to, I definitely need to watch more pre 2000’s anime but like I said I’ve been mad busy 😅. Vinland saga will be awesome as long as mappa doesn’t get their slimy hands on it although they have been doing pretty good work with jjk and Aot in some parts. I haven’t read the manga so it’s all gonna be a surprise for me which I’m excited about. I think mappas been doing pretty good but when you’re trying to live up to wit you’re gonna get hate no matter what lol
Haha you’re totally good. Cool I’ll get on it as soon as I can, thanks for the recommendation. I’ve actually really been wanting to watch Kaji but it’s one of those ones where I’m just waiting until the time is right to watch. Welcome to the NHK is also one of those anime for me and I’ve had many people tell me about it so I’m really excited for it as well as baccano haha. Yeah I agree anime that’s been releasing lately hasn’t been hitting very well with me. It just feels like when they’re made they’re trying to get something out for people to watch instead of putting time and effort into the way it’s made or maybe it’s just that they’re trying to appeal to the new generation. Either way anime has been going in a downward spiral but a couple I’m still very excited for are the Uzumaki series coming out in October because if they keep the black and white animation I think that would be amazing. I’m also really looking forward to the 4th Madoka movie hopefully coming this year. Anything you’re looking forward to or is it kinda all the same to you now?
Also not sure if you’re into comedy anime but an older one I really like is Golden Boy, it’s only 6 episodes so not that long and has some super funny scenes in it so I think it’s totally worth it
Yeah I should probably wait until rating spyxfamily but it just annoys me how high the ratings are so I’m trying to bring it to where I think it belongs. Yep Chainsawman owes a lot to many different anime’s previously released. I wasn’t a huge fan of jjk but I’m excited to see where it’s headed because I’ve heard it gets amazing. Sorry if I worded it wrong but I was trying to see if you had any recommendations of what you think I should watch, if so let me know!
Yeah Yu Yu Hakusho is super fun and easy to watch, as for chainsaw man, I can definitely say I enjoy it but it feels like a compilation of stolen content to me and there’s a lot of similarities between it and manga like Tokyo Ghoul and Claymore to name a few. It’s not anything new which is why it kinda confuses me as to why so many people are praising it as the new demon slayer Yada Yada whatever the new big shonen is. I find it entertaining but it fails to hold any value throughout the story, it’s hard to back the Mc when his main motivation is literally just boobs. I could go on for a while about it but I’ll spare you that. I’m probably the wrong person to ask about spyxfamily because it’s one of my least favorite anime already, it’s almost unbelievable to me how anyone can rate it above a 7, in my eyes it’s truly garbage which is why I recommend you ask someone else their opinion on it who could give you some upsides on it haha. Sorry for the last response I’ve been crazy busy, if you have any recommendations lmk and I’ll try to get on them asap
hummm i see and i understand ! i think like you, i'm very nasty when i rate anime ahahah but if you want to find your masterpiece i think you should watch my list and watch all anime i rated as a 10 or a 9 !!! ahahah really mate i can help you to find some truely great shows ;) if you want some recommendations i'm here :p

Did you read solol leveling.?

It's really nice to see someone who appreciates both dubbed and subbed anime.
I am surprised that you don't have anime rated 10/10! why ? :p
