I guess the old art style is purely nostalgic to me. Grew up in the 2000's watching anime with the 90's artstyle so I guess I'll have a preference towards that.

I still absolutely love pre Ep 500 episodes. I love how dark it looks, I love the art style, the music and character designs. The new episodes are really shiny and don't carry the weight of someone losing their lives. They even joke about how Conan and Mouri are "harbingers of death" which, to me, undermines the murders quite a bit.

Right now, if I'm being honest, the show, for me, is being hard carried by nostalgia, Heiji and the hope that the final confrontation with BO is going to be great.

What are your opinions on the art style changes?

yeah, love that guy. It's gotten to a point where I'll only watch new episodes when one starring him airs
