Kenshin and Yu Yu are both two of the classic action/comedy hybrids, while Yu Yu Hakusho is supernatural, and Rurouni Kenshin is more realistic featuring samurai and swordplay.
Both shows combine elements of action & comedy. They also both have similar characters and art styles. However, Kenshin is set in ancient Japan, and is more about swordfighting while Yu Yu Hakusho is set in modern-day Japan and is more about fantastical power battles.

both Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho were a hit back in the 90's bearing similar animations and the stars of both shows are classic badasses ..the difference is one is more suburban and set in old school feudal japan starring a polite swordsman..where as the other is more urban and set to a modern time period of japan and features a rude
