I'm a benevolent wiseass (known for loving the cold) who watches anime in both English and Japanese. Which language I prefer for a show usually depends on the voice cast. Sometimes, I'll even rewatch a dub after I've seen the sub because I loved the show when I originally watched it if it gets a dub later on. I can hit a button with my right thumb between 10½-11½ times per second, on average (highest recorded amount: 118 times/10 seconds).
Great characters are usually better than a great plot. Bleach is a perfect example of this.

My favorite genres are RPGs, action games, and rhythm games. I mainly grew up with PS1 and PS2, so a lot of the games I enjoy(ed) outside of those genres were from that time period. I don't care for open-world and/or sandbox games.
My favorite band is DevilDriver. For a long time, it used to be Three Days Grace (back when Adam Gontier was involved). Nobuo Uematsu is a God among men. Aside from them, I also love:
All That Remains
Blink-182
Children Of Bodom
Dethklok
Disarmonia Mundi
Disturbed
Five Finger Death Punch
GRANRODEO
HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR
Killswitch Engage (with Howard Jones)
Parkway Drive
Rise Against
Spyair
System Of A Down
T.M. Revolution
The Black Mages
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones
The Offspring
UVERworld
Weird Al
Other Notable People
Along with my favorites, I'd opt for the dub if I saw these people in the cast.
I don't include bands in this section. They would be placed in music.
Favorite Non-Anime Shows
Alphabetically.
Bates Motel
Better Call Saul
Breaking Bad
Brooklyn Nine-Nine Dexter
Futurama
Key & Peele
Phineas & Ferb Scrubs
The Colbert Report
The Daily Show (especially with Jon Stewart) The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Most Hated Characters
I don't like to dwell on negativity, so this is just characters who really took away from my enjoyment of something, beyond what just being an antagonist or villain entails.
Beclem - Final Fantasy X-2
Chuami - Final Fantasy X HD “Bonus Audio”
Delita - Final Fantasy Tactics While there are other characters who're worse (ex. Argath, but the cast is full of terrible, terrible people), Delita is such a massive shithead even to his friends and allies. He both lies and is completely delusional. He just flat out sucks. The ends don't justify the means, period. Haruhi - The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya She just sucks, and it seems like she set the groundwork for several following years to hijack the tsundere archetype (something that was already overdone) and transform it to mean "selfish asshole" in many, many other series. Kotaro Ijuin - Rosario + Vampire Loly - Bleach Rukia - Bleach Really her fans. She's a very average character (actually fairly weak within the series). I don't understand why she has such a vocal fanbase. The show states this time and time again. She's said to not be very good at sword fighting, and her aptitude for kido is "just average." No one else is also as shown to be as weak-willed as her. Upon learning what
happened to Kaien's body, and the fact that the power of over 30000 hollows was coming at her, she gives up. Her sword breaks as soon as it's hit, and she does nothing to resist. This almost immediately follows Orihime displaying an incredibly amount of resolve, and it makes it even more obvious how fragile Rukia is.
Especially these characters. Aizen - Bleach Largely due to his ridiculous Shikai, and his assertions that he orchestrated the entire show, despite him telling Ichigo that he was no longer useful after the events of the Soul Society. He also simply isn't nearly as strong as he thinks he is, as several characters are more powerful than him (Isshin doesn't even release his Zanpakuto during his brief fight with Aizen, and seemingly overpowers him, or at the very least, is equal to him. A fact that Aizen himself acknowledges). When so many of the other characters in this show are written so amazingly, Aizen's frequent rewriting and use of "Exactly as Planned" really shows what a truly bad character he is.
All Gang Members in Kara no Kyokai 3
Makihisa - Tsukihime Most hated character of all time. Makoto Itou - School Days Seiji Yamaoka - Hell Girl season 3 SHIKI - Tsukihime Shikimi - Renai Boukun Shimono - Hell Girl Shinji - Fate/Stay Night Sugō - Sword Art Online Ulquiorra - Bleach One of the few characters who does nothing for the show, and he exists merely to torment and hurt others. Zoken Mato - Fate/Zero
Ratings
A ten point rating system is inherently flawed. Anything below a seven isn't good, and it skews the entire thing. A five point system is much better, as it clearly signifies bad, below average, average, above average, and great.
10- Mindblowing.
9- Few flaws, possibly was a 10 at one point but something held it back.
8- Enjoyable.
7- I don't recommend it, but it wasn't horrible.
<= 6- Not worth watching.
TL;DR most western fans prefer subs *because* they/we don't understand Japanese well enough to be able to hear how bad Japanese voice acting is.
"Frankly now that I can hear just how bad Japanese voice acting can be, I really wish I could stuff that genie back in that lamp. Hearing bad performances in anime just ruins many shows for you."
The Soul Eater dub is pretty bad. It made Black Star sound like a girl and the Reaper sounds really weird compared to the Japanese voice.
I used to watch all of my anime dubbed, but nowadays I mainly watch my anime subbed. I just hate having to wait a year or two after a shows airs in order to watch it. But If its an old show and it has a dub out all ready then I will watch the dub version.
I always like to seeing the dirt bag being brought down to hell but I always feel bad for the person who pulled the red string because someday they will have to go to hell even though they were a good person.
I see that you are on the same episode of Bleach that I am on. Are you watching on Toonami like I am?
I have been really enjoying Hell Girl. It’s the only horror anime that I have watched and actually liked. It has a really unique concept, but it can be hard to watch sometimes due to the nature of the show.
I know how you feel. The summer time is basically the only time that I get to watch anime on a consistent basis. Any other time I am busy with my college work and I cant watch anime. ;_;
One Piece is a good choice. I have only watched the first 103 episodes of One Piece and from what I have watched, it seems like an amazing show. I really need to get back to watching the show because I am getting further and further behind. At this rate it will take me forever to catch up.
I can’t read Japanese. I would of just learned how the menus worked. It’s a music rhythm game so I don’t think that there would be that many menus in it so it would be really easy to figure out how they worked.
The games I am most excited for are:
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Tales of Xillia
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
This year looks like it is going to be a great year for gaming!
