Yakusoku no Neverland

Both have deep world building that focus on a sense of mystery to the show's world which our heroes must try to figure out. Both have deep rooted deception and secrecy. Both have creatures that are a huge source of fear for the humans characters as they actively eat people. 

Both anime feature children that have to go through some bad circumstances while they explore the world around them (In The Promised Neverland they have to, in Made in Abyss they want to).  

Both shows are thrilling, keeping you hooked to the screen, they are about mind games, have genius characters, and have very good storyline. Everything is very detailed and explained wisely. Good psychological thrillers are rare today, these shows are unique here. 

both series main plot revolves around children being kept in some sort of mansion by unknown being and their stories to unveil what's behind this scenarion. 

Surprised there aren't more people drawing connections between these two... Similar in terms of genre and tone (psychological suspense/thriller), in addition to overall visual style (initially thought they might have been the same studio). In terms of plot, both follow the travails of powerful children facing dark/sinister, still-more-powerful antagonists, which leads to the cat-and-mouse pacing of each episode. Prime differences would be in setting ("Boku dake..."/"Erased" is more realistically grounded, despite the key plot device motivating the central arc of the story, vs. the futuristic sci-fi/fantasy world of "Yakusoku..."/"Promised Neverland"), and protagonist focus ("Boku dake..."/"Erased" largely centers on the perspective of one MC, vs. "Yakusoku..."/"Promised Neverland" following the three central kids with more of an ensemble approach at points). Beyond those points, they're both quality, anime-of-the-season type series! read more 

Both are truly impressive and thought provoking. Unusual characters, unusual plot, unexpected plot twists. Similar setting, very similar atmosphere. Happy childhood, which turns out to be only a facade, behind which lies a terrible truth. 

Both shows use a dark theme covered up with a cute atmosphere. The main characters are children, which must fight to survive in this cruel world. 

Both anime have demons and children who are exposed to these demons early on in their lives and it drastically changes the paths their lives would've taken. Both have great art styles, animation, characters, OST's and pacing. 

The Promised Neverland and Seraph of the End are both anime about children being raised as livestock for man-eating creatures. Both anime are adaptations of Shonen manga published in one of Shueisha's Jump magazines, The Promised Neverland is published in Weekly Shonen Jump, and Seraph of the End is published in Jump SQ. The Promised Neverland is more about mind games, while Seraph of the End is more action oriented. 

Both animes have premises regarding a isolated place from the world that have been lost due a catastrophic event for, potentially, all humanity. A wall was built to keep kids "safe" from the outside world. "Alienation" and "survival" are common themes in both animes. 

Both share a similar twist in tone at the end of the first episode, both feature horror elements and they have a similar art style 

In both shows, the main cast of characters are younger aged individuals who live in an enclosed environment isolated from the dangers and revelations of the outside world. Both parties are shocked when they eventually find out about the truth regarding the world/universe they live in. 

-Both anime's theme revolves around a dark psychological thriller. These anime will definitely take you on a major rollercoaster with tons of cliffhangers that leave you wanting more. If you like one, you will like the other. -Zankyou is more subtle crazy, curious about discovering and figuring out what the real truth is while Yokashou knows the truth and figuring a way out. Both very big emotional rollercoaster. Both keep you on your toes after every episode -Both animes have two main guy characters and one girl character, very similar personalities -Both animes, the children are labeled with numbers and are born in a similar environment. Both show a group of characters who seem to have a normal lifestyle at first, but in reality, there exists a dark secret lurking in the shadows. 

Both animes revolve around a very dark thriller theme that keeps you wondering and want more. The characters in both of the animes are trapped in a facility where they eventually find out that they have to escape the place or else death will await them. Everyone was deceived about what was going on and what the place actually was from a mastermind. People are dying one by one, so the characters try to make an escape plan. Their goal is to leave the place and go out the door that leads them to the real world. While they work hard to escape, they have to keep it in the down low in order to not get caught. Yakusoku no Neverland is a lot more intense, but both are interesting read more 

The shows take place in the future and the histories of the worlds the main characters live in are filled with mysteries. The stories focus on teenagers/kids who find themselves in a dangerous situation and have to work together to get out of it alive. The main protagonists of both series are determined not to leave anyone of their team/family behind.  

Both series show a cruel reality within a happy lie, whilst also being an "escape story" of sorts, with our main characters having to find their true purpose and where they fit in one huge puzzle. There is a lot of similar themes in place, and the stakes are similar and present. Whilst they have different settings and character interactions, they stay true to one another by centering on both the mystery of the inside and outside world. 

Similar to The Promised Neverland, the cast of 7SEEDS are unknowingly put in a situation designed for them.  

Both seem light hearted and fun but are actually dark and gritty. Both have children that have features that no normal child would have Hunter X Hunter super strength and The Promised Neverland super intelligence. Hunter X Hunter is more action/adventure The Promised Neverland is more mystery 

Dr Stone and The Promised Neverland both are about young people who take a stand for themselves, not only for the better of themself but for those around them as well. Dr Stone follows student scientist genius Senku carrying humanity on his back by trying to take it back to how it once was. TPN takes on the same kind of idea but on a smaller scale with the highly intelligible children of Grace Field having to save themselves from the bleak future that awaits them if they are too late. Both are good anime for the shounen demographic which are based upon using the brain for fighting against enemies. TPN is more psychological than Dr Stone, however.  read more 

Both of these shows have a combination of sweet and innocent moments but before you know it turns on its head and turns disturbing fast. You will be standing on your feet for much of the scenes wondering what is going on and what will eventually happen. They like to delay the darker moments and you can differently feel the fear the characters of both series are experiencing under different circumstances. Both shows follow a group of children trying to solve a mystery. The characters have a similar feel around them, and the shows are of the same genres (Horror & Mystery).  

So these two animes are both very good. They have similar art styles and both deal with the supernatural. They both have very good characters and are horror type animes. 

Has that same gripping suspense and mystery, outstanding art and sound design. Also, the OP and ED of both shows are absolute bangers. 

Both seem cute and easygoing on the surface but get darker and more disturbing later on.  

Main villain (Johan) comes from an orphanage where kids were experimented on by Nazis and is equally (if not more) terrifying as Isabella / Mama giving similar tensity whenever he is on the screen. Both shows explore depths of human mind, making you question what is right and wrong, as well as an Mystery element having you grave for more with ending of each episode. 

Kids fighting for their lives. Deadman Wonderland and The Promised Neverland both are about kids trying to survive against some evil force that looms over them. Deadman Wonderland is about Ganta entering prison to try clear his name. TPN the children trying to escape from Grace Field since demons wish to eat them. Both are good anime for the shounen demographic, though Deadman Wonderland has action, with TPN having psychological mind games to play with. 

Whilst the two are very much far apart, a slap of reality could not be more effective in the two anime as given. PB and TPN are too anime that know how a clap of reality will forever change your perspective on the world. PB's incredible crescendo into the true broken idea of what even is reality anymore. TPN's twist of fate for what your whole entire life has been manufactured and agreed to be without consent. The message becomes clear. Despite no control over it. Your wishful reality. Gone. Good anime for their target audience, a real tension in the air alongside some crazy good animation and soundtrack,. TPN for shounen fans wanting something a little new, PB for psychological mental attack lovers.  read more 

Idk where children get their powers from, but I sure as hell would like to know where some of that plot armour comes from. Regardless, when you give children the means to change the world, some truly magnificent events are possible to exist. TPN and Eva use this concept to create intense moments of people trying to hold onto dear life at such a young age. There come betrayals, secrets unfolded, insight and more secrets unfolded. A lot is in store for these two, and only time will tell when you feast your eyes upon them. Two great psychological anime, highly acclaimed for being unconventional in their respective genres yet also making a huge impact and name for themselves. I do not recommend TPN S2 btw.  read more 

It is deadly chess... Basically if you make one mistake you die. The longer you hide what you kow, the more likely it is for you to survive. I strongly recommend both of them for the tension :) 

Teamwork. TPN and Summer Wars share the similarity in a family joint effort to tear down literally anything in their path. The odds may be stacked against them, they surely have no chance of winning, they are literally supposed to lose in normal circumstances, but an entangling pull into these anime still brings you falling into a hole of the build-up of the entire process in which teamwork has. TPN does this, with children of the farm using whatever it is they can to combat the forces that wish to prey on them. Summer Wars is a family + extension's attempt to save the entire world from a virus that has corrupted the very core of the internet. Both are highly acclaimed anime, and whilst TPN is a thriller/suspense anime, with Summer Wars being a slightly dramatic movie full of laughs too, they still converge and expand off at the same points. read more 

Both series includes being locked in a certain place and the characters attempts to escape from there. Though in Rainbow it doesn't include supernatural beings like Demons. 

these are quite different in style series. Neverland - a race to the 12+3 episodes.| Shiki- long building tension. Both about death. I like both of them and may you too... p.s. why the hell titans have 40+ reccommends for neverland?  

both have a dark side of their world right?  

Both series give the viewer a sense of thrill and showcase how the world around the characters is incredibly messed up. Both have great animation as well.  

In both of these anime the humans are presented as "the hunted" by other creatures (in Tokyo Ghoul, Ghouls, and in Yakusoku no Neverland, Demons). In both Ghouls and Demons seemingly have their own society. Both have horror and psychological themes and the main characters start off having to adapt into the society they have been placed in by no fault of their own. 

Both made by the same director, Mamoru Kanbe. Both are deep psychological shows with dark themes. Both involve perceived threats to humanity. Although EL has gore and TPN does not. Both show the same horrors. Although the storylines are different, there are similarities in tone and feel. If you like one you will like the other. 

If you like the whole "I've outsmarted you!", "But I've outsmarted you!", "And I've outsmarted you!" etc. aspect, both of these anime contain plenty of that in them, as well as the dangerous guardian (Koro-sensei/Mama) facet. 

Similar setting, both plot happens within a wall the characters can't get beyond, some of them disappeared, the remaining ones have to learn to accept and get over their friends' disappearance and get over with their own past. And some of them trying to get to other side of the wall just like in Yakusoku no Neverland. And in Haibane Renmei the characters live in a place quite like the orphanage in Yakusoku no Neverland, the plot is just about the light-hearted daily life of Haibanes but later it would reveal its gritty and depressing side 

Both of these anime are very well written psychological thrillers. I do prefer Serial Experiments Lain as a series, but if you're looking for a good anime for beginners I would reccomend Yakisoku No Neverland/The Promised Neverland. 

Both anime depends on sneak and stealth,with both ideology to survive,albeit promised neverland centered with a plot armor,and a mind game to escape 

Both the shows are about children and their daily lives and the environment is also pretty similar. The only difference is that Promised Neverland is a bit dark. This anime is like a happy and positive version of promised Neverland. 

both have thrilling and disturbing scenes both world has a dangerous nature both anime had a lot of pressure when it comes to trouble or misfortune 

Both series are focused on survival, and escaping their captors. Instead of children, the story of Btoom! follows older characters who are forced against their will to compete in a game of survival. 

These animes are both very suspenseful and exciting to watch. After you watch one episode you can't stop watching. In both animes, the characters are constantly trying to survive making the watchers intrigued every episode.

Both have an amazing plot with a wonderful mystery behind it 

- On the other side of what the main characters know, awaits a world they were never supposed to know about. - Both sets of characters are attempting to break free from the existing systems. - Both start off seeming wholesome enough, but gradually reveal their darker secrets. 

They both have similar Psychological horror feels and it makes you tense at any moment. If you liked Yakusoku no neverland I think you'll like Wonder egg priorty.  

Thrilling; psychological. Both have wonderful effects, soundtracks (mostly the insert songs for ID) Character development in both are great.

Promised Neverland is a great show for the strategy, and there are plenty of popular show recommendations out there, but a big part of the strategy with Promised Neverland were the stakes and what was on the line. Finding a good show with stakes besides lives on the line(really cliche). Sk8 has plenty of stakes, and a villain that made me visibly uncomfortable(preferred English for this), the stakes aren't lives but still compelling. The friendships in both shows are everything and especially sk8 there is a scene with all the friends and a specific song whenever I hear it makes me want to skateboard even though I have zero balance skills and have amazing friendships like that. -Both start off seemingly innocent until certain events unravel to reveal a more sinister atmosphere -Amazing writing & directing that really sucks you into their world (not counting sequels btw) -Very deep Mystery/Thriller vibes while still being shounen -Both have canonically high IQ MC's -MC's were badass when they were kids -Very strong sibling bonds; siblings who form a group after going through trauma together, & then stick together like it's them against the world -Main cast wants to reform the cruel unfair world they live in for the better, after they experience trauma -Main characters go through suffering & hardships & have to make very hard sacrifices in their life -Themes of oppression/prejudice/discrimination just because of who you are -BANGER OPENINGS -TPN's OP & MTP's ED have the same upbeat/electric banger vibes -Both groups of MC's have someone chasing after them who's seemingly on the same level of intellect as them so you never know who'll win -Neither one takes place in modern day (TPN-Future/MTP-Past) -You never know who you can trust in either one & there are people who aren't as they seem -STUNNING and very clean animation & visuals -Very VERY atmospheric -Fast-paced - never boring - no filler bs - each ep has something major to contribute to the plot -As the episodes go on, the plot thickens -Both have UNFORGETTABLE OST's that play at just the right time & give you absolute CHILLS -1st episodes that basically establish the premise & absolutely hook you in read more 

Both about kids working against adults who hide their true nature and intentions, with twists and revelations 

These children challange godly stuff, they are intelligent and yea they are in weird universes. They are clever as hell, watch it.  

Both shows are about kids in a dark setting where they are in a situation without much hope. In both shows the kids seem to face something similar to aliens or mosters but in a totally different way. 

Both are good thriller with unexpected twists. 

They're both intense like a great Shounen anime, without either anime depicting any literal fights. They both aired in the same season, so if you somehow missed out on both of them, I highly recommend them. Kaguya is admittingly sort of episodic while Neverland, by the nature of it's plot, always chugs along, but both remain tense in their own way. Aside from the appeal of mindgames, Kaguya has the romance/comedy element to fall back on while Neverland has the overarching mystery and pseudo-horror. The biggest issue I have with both of them is that there aren't enough episodes out there for me. (Although Neverland has a 2nd Season in the works while Kaguya doesn't >_>) That's not to say the seasons don't feel complete, its just I WANT MOAR. read more 

In both cases the show is focused in a cast compounded by kids in a dark adventure where the odds seems to be against them. I think Neverland is probably going to be a lot more "tamed/light" compared to Ima soko ni iru boku.  

Both have characters who are trying to escape from their despair by using their intelligence and sheer will to power through. They both fall in the dystopian category with Edward Elric's country being a military state, and the country itself being a WW2 reference with them as Germany. Over time in the story the situation seems to get even worse too. They both also have nice sound effects.  

If you liked Ajin or the Promised Neverland... You'd enjoy the other. Both are set in a world that has a much darker side to it, the main cast are both struggling to survive in a world they thought they knew. The people they thought were friends, may or may not still be their friends. Both anime are complex, have a great pacing to them and contain 'monsters'.  

In the both anime they're trying to change the world. both anime is shounen and both anime we have species they're fighting with each other 

Both have the same plot where a group of youngsters were made to believe, that they were the last pocket of humankind and were made to fight an enemy , not knowing that the ones they trust were the enemy.  

There is a similar theme about fighting against seemingly hopeless odds and despair in both animes. 

This will scratch that unsettling, mystery itch Neverland gives you. Its one hell of a ride as Ciel uncovers monsters and mysteries with his evil, demonic Butler. You won't be physically scared, but the ideas and world presented are spine-chilling.  

Psychologically disturbing, centering around the insidious nature of child abuse, and pinning adults using their power over children as the main threat, Happy Sugar Life and Promised Neverland may have two completely different story lines, but share a lot of similarities when it comes to the ingenuity of young characters overcoming hideous individuals. Happy Sugar Life is possibly one of the more controversial anime out there. Our main character once a victim of abuse now uses her defense mechanism- a strong intuition about people who are malicious, and a ability to manipulate people which she uses on these antagonists to obtain her goals. Fans of these shows will get a lot of enjoyment out of the characters in both of these series. read more 

Both shows start off light but goes dark as the show progresses. Both shows also have several characters involved and also have diverse personalities that the MCs have to deal with. Both Mitsumune and Emma have a strong sense of justice and have savior complex. Both shows are in a bad environment where they struggle to escape from. 

In both Yakusoku no Neverland and Weathering With You, a couple of foolish kids begin doing things the old people around them tell them not to do, inciting supernatural events, calling upon forces beyond their control, and causing authorities transcending their comprehension to punish them and their fellows for actions that we would consider morally mundane under most circumstances. These authorities punish them by taking away the ones that they love most, which only further ignites their endless determination. For Emma, she wants to save her fellow orphans from the slimy claws of the demons, and for Hodaka, he wants to save Hina from the local weather. The former's love is platonic/familial, whereas the latter's can be interpreted as more romantic. They both cover one arc that spans the entirety of their runtime, an arc that introduces new factors, but always keeps the main variables, such as the weather and the orphanage, present at all times. They both also involve mysteries that turn out to be much greater than the protagonists anticipated near the beginning, however, only once these mysteries are truly unraveled does the audience themselves realize that. In the end, the message at the core of these shows is how cruel the outside world can be, and how forces beyond our understanding can drive us into despair, however, both of them tell the tale of people that overcame that despair and managed to clutch what they held dear tightly enough to save it. It's inspiring, it's resonant, and it's beautiful to watch these tapestries unfold in all their glory. read more 

Both anime with great world building but with a great deal of mystery surrounding their worlds. Both have very lovable characters that it's great to root for in their perils.  

Paranoia grows. The Promised Neverland and Death Parade both follow characters who grow paranoia among those they are with. TPN has characters Emma and Norman build paranoia from the people who are in Grace Field due to the existence of double agents and corrupted adults. DP has its episodic characters grow fear and untrust of the person they are playing against. Both are good psychological anime with TPN including mind games, DP including literal games. 

What both these series have in common: 1. Take place in dangerous worlds full of man-eating "demons" 2. Have a brave female lead 3. Small setting hidden from the "outside world" 4. Have humans rebelling against the demons 5. Western-like setting 

Change the hierarchy. The Promised Neverland and Akame ga Kill are very much similar in their ideas of people wanting to change a particular hierarchical society. Both follow ignorant MCs with big dreams only to get crushed by the appalling world order already set for them. MCs Tatsumi and Emma, with Norman, find out that the world that they had big goals for was all a lie, with this disheartening truth, these protagonists decide that they will fight for a change. With AGK having Tatsumi joining the Night Raid, while TPN has Emma slowly send Grace Field's secret around the children in hopes for larger forces to work with. Both are good anime about deceptions changing the rebels. With AGK being action with a ton of blood and gore, TPN is mystery psychology filled with mind games and double agents. read more 

- Great pacing as soon as one problem is resolved another even greater one appears keeping you entertained and interested. The issues are also given in a way that doesn't feel rushed or out of place. - Both shows revolve around characters in near-death experiences - Suspicions arise in places the main characters and persons around them usually call home - Great animation and sound
