I'm a high school student who recently got into anime
I like to draw and create fanart of my favourite shows and characters
I'm an Asian, but I'm fluent in English, okayish in my mother tongue and can read a little Japanese :)

While enjoyment is the biggest factor in deciding scores for me, if I feel a certain aspect of the show is atrocious or amazing, it can play a really big part in the score too. 10 - Perfection

2 and below:
I usually do some research before choosing shows to watch, so if a show interests me enough to even pick it up, I don't think it deserves a 2 and below. Even the shows which are below "average" have good points.
Maybe when I find a show I abhor with all of my being, I'll rate it a 2 or below. So far I haven't found that show yet. But then again I haven't watched a lot of shows. Sooooo.
Not a fan of the magic genre, sequels, slice-of-life, dense protagonists and huge age gaps between the two main characters shipped.
The manga I read is usually the source material for anime I like, so I'll give them higher scores. For manga with no anime adaptation, I'll just rate it according to what I feel, I don't think I have a concrete ranking system for it yet :)
I put a show on-hold when I have no interest in/intention of watching it anymore. This does not necessarily mean I think the show is crap (eg Nichijou or Neon Genesis Evangelion), it's just not my type.
I drop a show when I feel that I have clicked on this show by accident (or quite literally). Sadly, MAL does not allow you to remove a show from your anime list once you've clicked on it, hence these shows are here. This is also to clean up my "Plan to Watch" section.
Recently, I've gotten a lot pickier with my shows. I'm almost definitely biased to the shows I watched very early on :3
