Both animes have premises regarding a isolated place from the world that have been lost due a catastrophic event for, potentially, all humanity. A wall was built to keep kids "safe" from the outside world. "Alienation" and "survival" are common themes in both animes.

Both anime are about children held in a caring environment that turns out to be not what it seems. Both contain graphic images of monsters present and are both thrillers worth watching

Are you sad that The Promised Neverland (TPN) was cancelled after Season 1? (it was, trust me). Do you miss the thrill and the mystery? Then maybe you should watch Tengoku Daimakyou (TD). If there's one way to summarize TD in one phrase, it's what you get when you combine TPN S1 with The Last of Us. The viewer dives straight into two parallel stories. On the one side, there's a group of gifted children being raised by robots and scientists in a school, inside a closed facility cut-off from the outside world. That school is seemingly Heaven on Earth... but you know that's too good   read more

Kids trapped in a facility where they are being used for an ulterior motive without their knowledge and then characters on the outside who are in some form or fashion trying to save/locate them.

Both animes give you this eerie feeling of maybe paradise isn't as blissful as it may seem. Can't go into much more without spoilers!

Both start from the walls, both have a lot of suspense and interesting moments. Also, have a dozen creepy & gore moments

Both these shows have a similar Premise, although both these animes have different approaches. "I like the idea of Civilization is at the hands of Man-Eating Monsters", an both these shows tackle that aspect very well and in a diverse way as well. If you do plan to watch my recommended anime, Please DON'T WATCH SEASON 2. (unless it has got a reboot). Instead, pick up the Manga after where Season 1 ends i.e., if you plan to watch my recommendation.
