Many romcoms share similar likenesses, so I could probably list others that match up decently like Chuunibyou, Golden Time, and even Yahari Ore no Seishun and such which others have listed. But I found these two to be similar because of the MC's dynamic/forced relationship with a main girl while the MC's crush is a different person. Both also have typical things like "beach" episodes, romantic tension that occurs during scenes of the MC and female protagonist (though Nisekoi has a bit more romantic tension in its scenes). Both are also comedies and have tsundere leads. The difference is that Nisekoi turns into a harem fairly quickly  read more

an anime can't get any more similar than this. is what I thought when I watched the first episode of hanayome. adding past events as a part of a harem story can't get any spicier than nisekoi and hanayome. in the end we'll (hopefully) get an answer to whom the MC ended up with, and who is the girl of his past.

A main male protagonist gets caught up in multitude of romance angles. Both Nisekoi and Oreshura display relationship angles between various characters. The MC also pretends to date a popular girl at school (although for different circumstances). Throughout both series, there is implication that the main girl (Chitoge from Nisekoi, Masuzu from Oreshura) might see more to their "boyfriend" than meets the eye. Expect comedy, drama, and misunderstandings. The main male protagonist also attracts attention of other female characters that complicates his life.

-Both are about two leads who supposedly despise each other yet are forced to feign an intimate relationship with each other due to the nature of their situation -Both have a similar artstyle which almost singlehandedly distinguishes them from the myriad of competition in the genre -Both feature similar characters and supporting characters

A boy divided between two girls. Lots of flashback to the childhoods of the characters and how these childhood memories shape their personalities and desires today. Similar story. Both lighthearted good comedies, at times giving more serious messages . Very likable characters. Lots of high school action.

They both have that same trippy style (Bakemonogatari's is more pronounced) like scene cutting, slow motion shots, soft color backgrounds, off colored objects (like blue desks or green background characters)... Basically I watched Nisekoi for maybe 5 minutes before I asked, "Was this made by the same guy that made Bakemonogatari?"

In both, MC likes a certain girl and that girl likes him back (for similar reasons too), but is (sort of) forced into a relationship with another girl.... Circumstances are pretty similar in both. The difference here is that Nisekoi is not ecchi nor supernatural.

- boy must marry/be in a relationship with a girl with blonde hair - but he loves someone else and the girl he loves, loves him too, but they have both problems, to confess their feelings to each other (they do it, but it's complicated for both) - both girls become pretty good friends (blonde hair girl doesn't have friends) - school setting is similar - names are also pretty similar (Nisekoi = False Love, Koi to Uso = Love and Lies)

Kishuku circles race vs race and Nisekoi is yakuza vs yakuza. Highschool students suppose having a childhood rivalry between protagonist and main love interest. Kishuku leans more of the "Romeo and Juliet" scenario while Nisekoi follows a different picture book.

Both Seto no Hanayome and Nisekoi involve the main character having affiliation with the Yakuza and being forced into a relationship. There are other potential lovers which are thrown into the mix and over time the main character discovers romantic merits about them. They are both great comedies with the main character displaying desirable qualities such as loyalty and chivalry. If you're looking for another romantic comedy with the same vibe, I'd definitely recommend checking this out!

Stories wrapped up in love polygons and a revisit of the past. Golden Time and Nisekoi formulate this trope into a story involving a main character in complex relationships. The main male protagonist differ in personalities but is kind at heart. On the other hand, the main female protagonist from both series has complex personalities and tends to be aggressive on certain circumstances. Both series revolves around relationships although Nisekoi has more action while Golden Time has more realism with its more mature setting. Throughout both series, an important content involves the past of the main characters that directly influences on present events.

Similar artistic style (cartoonish, textures, stylish effects, simple vectors, bright colors), similar comedy and both are about an average guy with a bunch of friends that have crazy antics with him at school or other various places. Both are harem-style and have lots of girls and fanservice.

Having the same character dynamics but with different character archetypes. "Nisekoi" has a "tsundere" girl while "OsaMake" has a "kuudere" girl; nevertheless, it is about a boy having romantic feelings and forming a relationship with the said girl. I find both series similar due to them giving and making me remember the same vibes that "Nisekoi" gave me in the past. Both are pretty standard overall. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys comedic aspects more than the dramatic ones.

Is the same basic storyline, a childhood promise, love involved, girls confusion and a lots of comedy. The characters are similar, but Love hina is harem style (many, many girls) and nisekoi is school life style.

Comedy, harem romance and slightly ecchi series that feature a oblivious yet caring male protagonist, surrounded by various beautiful girls who try to get involved romantically with him. Both series are cliched and full of tropes, yet they are somewhat aware of their own cliched nature and makes fun of it to create great comedy. A source of shipping wars in both series.

The story itself isn't really similar however how the story is done is. The fact we get the 2 main girls at the start and others start to join the harem later is similar. The comedy is very similar as well.

Anime dealing with arranged marriage. In Nisekoi, the main characters must be a couple in order to stop rivalry between mafia groups. In Mikakunin de Shinkoukei aka Engaged to the Unidentified, our main couple are engaged due to an incident that happen in the past. Both anime deals with school, life, romance, comedy, and drama. Add love triangle to spice things up. Both anime airing this year.

Both are romcom harems where the main source of comedy is the jealousy and competitiveness between girls of various persionalities that are romantically interested in the protagonist. If you're interested in such character dynamic, try these titles.

Nisekoi and Yamada-kun are the two romantic shonen respectively of Shounen Jump and Shounen Magazine. And both improve clearly in the manga.

Both are rom-coms where a boy and a girl are forced to be a couple by their fathers. Though the boy and the girl hate each other at first, after a while, hate starts to change into love. Both series have also other girls who have crush on the boy. Also, while Ranma ½ is ecchi, Nisekoi isn't.

Both shows have strong comedic visuals (Kaguya-sama director worked at Shaft, which produced Nisekoi). Also, not much happens in terms of progression (at least so far), though Nisekoi is a harem romance, while Kaguya-sama is not. Both also have interesting characters and funny interactions that happen between them.

Somehow, as if magically or by a chance of genre, the MC finds himself surrounded by girls of all different kinds. While the MC may be generally unaware of their romantic status, both animes are based around the relationships they have with each other, and the time-passing comedy. Nisekoi is a little bit more on the romantic, dramatic side, while Jitsu wa Watashi wa is more on the crazy, comedic side. At the beginning of both the shows, the MC is forced into a relationship with a violent tsundere girl. In case of Ranma, Akane is his fiancee and in case of Raku, Chitoge is his make-believe girlfriend. Both are filled with intense comedy. Oh, and both are harem shows.

if you are looking for another anime that basically has the Romeo and Juliet theme around it, like this one has, then Nisekoi is a great pick, although the way the romance flows is different. In Nisekoi you can enjoy more character development, it's a bit more serious, but it still remains an enjoyable rom-com.

If you're fan of Karen's antics like a *few* people I've seen, Nisekoi has her VA, Nao Touyama, perform a similar role in an almost identical voice, as well as a few new takes throughout the series. Cutesy Karen, Tsundere Karen, Sassy Karen, English-speaking Karen - all showcased in Chitoge, who is a main character, meaning more opportunities for her to shine. While not having exactly the same kind of humour as Kiniro Mosaic overall, Nisekoi's humour definitely has its moments. Nisekoi is an anime that has the same kind of romantic comedy feel to it, but the main characters are completely different. I'm recommending this for those who like the whole normal people, rom-com, school setting. If you like the whole part where the main character has the *special trait* in Tanaka-kun, this would be his listlessness, then Nisekoi is not for you. Nisekoi is a harem, romance, comedy, school, has 2 seasons, possibly 3, and OVA's. Main male character, but it's unlike most harems. It has lots of unique characters, the plot is great for each character's background, and not many are that annoying, imo.  read more

Comparing a shounen to a shoujo may seem like a crazy idea, but both shows were so similar that this fact can be overlooked. Ouran Koukou Host Club and Nisekoi are both romcom harems that follow the story of an high school student. Both protagonists (Haruhi and Ichijou) have opposite backgrounds with their main love interest (Tamaki and Chitoge) which leads to some pretty funny scenes depicting the clash between their family situations. Ouran and Nisekoi also have what we could call an ''homosexual supporting cast'' which is way more prominent in Ouran, but can also be perceived in Nisekoi in characters such as Seishirou.

As you watch Ano Natsu de Matteru, you will notice that the story's characters have large similarities to Nisekoi's. While the anime starts slowly, it contains quite a bit of romance and presents the same idea of how one of the characters force themselves to hold back from who they love.

Harem comedies that rely a lot on coincidences, where every love interest has something oddly specific in common. In Futakoi, pretty much every single female character has a twin sister. In Nisekoi, every female lead hold a key that is connected to the past of the main character, and most of them have something to do with the yakuza. The names are also similar, both being a play on the word love and the main theme of the show.

I recommend this because they are both forced into a relationship by their parents/guardians decision. They have a setting to it so that its not just the boring romance. it's the funny, action and serious type which I like. It reminds me of nisekoi because of all of that. The only difference is that nisekoi is about gang members and princess lover is a more of a very rich and fancy life style to it.

A romantic comedy and a mecha show? How could these possibly be similar? While their plots have no concrete similarities, both series reach for the same goal. Gurren Lagann wants to exaggerate and emphasize the nonsense and cliches of the mecha genre, while Nisekoi does the same but for the high-school harem comedy. Neither have deep plots or great characters, but both can be very enjoyable just because of the extreme over-the-topness and passion behind both series.
