The protagonists of both anime have something in their pasts that they can't seem to remember, and they met a certain amount of girls in the past who they end up reuniting with in the future. Both anime also have animation that is pleasing to the eyes.

In both anime, the MC has some past connection with a number of girls from his childhood, but he doesn't remember any detail. He reunites with all the girls after growing up (as if destiny) and slowly starts recollecting his memories of childhood. Both shows have good comedies but Kanon also has some drama and supernatural occurences.
