The concept of arranged marriages sets up the contents for both Nisekoi and Mikakunin de Shinkoukei. Therefore, expect misunderstandings, drama, but also connections on a more deeper level as well.
The main male characters contrasts greatly in personality. However, they do care about their friends and families deep down. Mikakunin de Shinkoukei has an additional element of supernatural theme while Nisekoi presents every episode in an unique fashion courtesy of Shaft.
Two main characters in both series also suffers from an amnesia from the past that becomes a plot device throughout their perspective stories.
The story follows two main characters, mostly a boy and a girl, who got off a strange start by an arranged couples. Though they have child memories where they tried to remember several parts, but don't remember most of it. As they go through this "arranged couple" they tried to put the pieces together for their childhood memories and see if that he/she is the right person.
Engaged to the Unidentified, follows a girl who have memories during the accident, and was arranged by a "Soon-to-be fiance." Nisekoi follows a boy who have memories of a promise girl, and was arranged by a girl who was
