The two worst anime ever created, directed by the Ed Wood of anime. Both of them are absolutely hilarious to watch and will have you burst out laughing from scene to scene. This is the pinnacle of "so bad, it's good."

The humans are the real invaders of Earth!! That's why a mysterious enemy has come to free the planet from them BUT!!! It's up to our high school student alas Main character to use the ultimate human weapon to save the world even thought he is really weak, a crybaby and his father forced him into it. So it's up to the cast of girls to help him find the courage and fight to save his beloved home! If you like this kind of story these shows are perfect for you don't miss them!!!

Both are dark stories with lots of action, violence, and mature themes. They are flawed in many ways, such as animation quality, however, these flaws make both anime unintentionally comedic. If you enjoyed one, you will surely like the other! I recommend watching both.

Violent sci-fi setting, subpar animation, and a random girl who gets beheaded more or less 10 seconds after her appearance.

Both are insanely terrible "thriller" shows, in a way that it may be watched as comedy and provide much entertainment while watching with friends, only Pupa is more brutal. Be careful and watch with caution :)

Want something that will leave you absolutely speechless? Try one of these 2 titles. Trust me, you will be shocked.

So "juicy" with each of their own independent, horrific presentations that the audience can't help but chuckle, and be overwhelmingly astonished at it.

Three words for the viewer: what the hell. Both involve sci-fi, mecha, and gore, have a crazy, barely understandable story, very little character development, and a cast composed (almost) only by females. Both even have recycled music (even though MOD is explicit and constant in doing so, and Ice uses a famous melody only during one scene). While MOD makes no sense at all and yet is hilarious, Ice is confusing and messy from the first to the last episode, which may cause you an unfunny headache.

They are both hilarious anime with plot holes everywhere and stories that make damn near no sense.

Both are short, incredibly complex OVAs that have plots that you will not be able to understand no matter how many times you watch them. Ark IX has better animation, however, and is much shorter.

Both are very brutal featuring young characters battling with strange entities from another world, They also have strong characters and a good story.

Both are inferior versions of vastly superior titles - Mars of Destruction is a vastly inferior version of Neon Genesis Evangelion; Sword for Truth is a vastly inferior version of Ninja Scroll

-both are sci-fi anime -both are counted as some of the worst anime in existence

Both feature a bland, rather generic MC surrounded by a harem of girls who are mainly defined by their hair color. Both feel like MUCH blander versions of more popular shows (NGE for HnM, SAO and Infinite Stratos for TAW), and both are prime "so bad it's good" series if you want to watch them.

After watching both shows analytically, I found several similarities such as futuristic technology, several fight scenes, dark themes, the theme of life and death, and a plot twist at the end. Both protagonists also have many similarities. Disclaimer: This is by no means meant to be humorous. All connections were made analytically after watching both shows. I am NOT taking any shots at either shows. Update: jk they both suck

Hametsu no Mars and Shiguang Guiyu are both about spooky evil aliens attacking earth and turning into the apocalypse, and only one man can defeat them! They both suffer from vauge narration, bad characters, and limited animation.
report Recommended by Third-Impact
Both anime are set in the near future and feature special operations teams as the main cast, with the main character in each deriving their abilities from robotic components. They alter between action scenes and dialogue that focuses on the implications of what just happened but also hint towards a deeper, more psychological meaning which is revealed at or near the end of the movie. While the deeper meanings differ between shows, they are delivered in a similar way and both expect the audience to ponder what it means for them on a personal level.

both are crazy animes that use great animations to capture the best points of the anime. Highly rec because it is very good.

In the days when animation was at its peak, these are 2 gems (in more ways than one) that you don't want to miss out on. The light truly does blind one.

Mars of Destruction is this generation's MD Geist. Both are shocking in different ways (MD Geist is extremely violent; Mars of Destruction is easier to see than to describe), and both are OVAs by rather...infamous directors.
report Recommended by RoarkTenjouin
Both are obscure OVAs which both have nonsensical plots that are full of holes.

both mars of destruction and pure love are horrible, bad quality anime. pure love is even worse because it has artwork and animation that looks like it was done on photoshop. no really its that dreadful....
report Recommended by King2000
Both are created by the incompetent Idea Factory studios, apparently are adaptations of video games, and are great for the so-bad-it's-good masochists out there in this Earth.

Chargeman Ken is the Mars of Destruction of the 1970's. Both titles have limited animation, bad writing and random scenes that makes you go WTF at different times. Both titles also take place in the future and involve the main protagonist who have to fight aliens from destroying humanity. If you like one, you will enjoy the other.

Both are very informative, funny and both feature strange looking aliens. Hametsu no Mars is even more funnier than UFO. Also, Hametsu no Mars is based on events which might happen this year, so it's a must watch if you wish to protect yourself from a potential alien attack, especially if you live in Tokyo.
report Recommended by Volturnus
both are top quality masterpieces of the highest caliber mars of destruction and honaka are both incredibly cliche sci-fi stories about alien invaders. if you "enjoyed" mars of destruction you'll probably "like" hanoka as well. there's a similar air of mediocrity about each of them

Another incompetent so bad it's good anime.
report Recommended by Fel_Temp
Both of them are very short and i personally liked both of them since they have a similar feel .. the endings are always pretty of each episodes are pretty unpredictable (watch it for yourself) similar characters.. if you liked one of them you will love the other and vice-versa

Hilarious trainwrecks and two of the worst anime ever created. You don't get much worse than this, nor will you find something that's more fun to laugh at.
report Recommended by Veronin
Protagonist, fighting against powerful evil in the gloomy world, where death and gore are everywhere. Messy stage direction and absurd plot with all over the place characters.
report Recommended by Unagi-san
A meteor fall to Earth, with a virus that transform infected people into monstera. to fight them, there's an organization with armored people. Also, angsty protagonist that doesn't like what he's doing.
