Time truly does fly by.
The first thing I think of when I recollect about MAL are the countless grueling hours I spent writing about cartoons.
I do remember a time I sent in my first review for edits in a channel. It was for Legend of the Galactic Heroes. The review was never concluded and I rage quitted out of the channel within minutes.
It was along the same avenue that I drafted comments for memes and laughs with those who shared a desire to express their emotions about moving pictures. In writing.
I'm glad to say anime added to my observation and evaluation of art mediums in general, a passion I carry on.
I am bitter that I used to look forward to seasonal shows and now go over the MAL database with a fine-tooth comb to even find a decent show.
It could be anime is at a downturn, or an inevitable effect of the law of diminishing returns. Or neither.
Either way, thank you to those I giggled with like a kid over keyboards. Another time.

You nicely lay-out the flaws in the shows. Also, I completely agree that the adaptation of the source material is very hard.
