Both shows: - are about a man who just lost his job but are given a chance to change their lives as they get to relive a school experience. - have some social commentary on so-called "black companies" in Japan. - have nostalgic music from the 90s/00s in their soundtracks In ReLIFE, the protagonist Arata turns into a teenager and attends a highschool to put his life back on track and help himself and others in the process. In Remake Our Life, the protagonist Kyouya mentally time travels 10 years into the past and makes the decision to enroll in art school for university instead of business school. He  read more

Both series feature a main character that, through a miraculous event of self-justice, are put in a youthful setting in hopes to solve a major problem in their lives. While Erased focuses on the character progression of those around the main character, ReLIFE is primarily focused on the main character himself. Although both stories are presented as a mature personality in a younger body-- there are still clear differences in the tone, considering Erased is based on a middle school life, while ReLIFE is set in a final year of high school. Tension is much lower in ReLIFE, since it's not a  read more

Top Wingmen/Bro-est of Bros by the male protagonists. In ReLife, it's Arata helping his fellow classmates out in their own romances and not their own; in Orange it's Suwa & Hagita helping out their own brofriend where it might sacrifice one of their futures. A true bro, one that places his bro above himself and with self-sacrifice that it's admirable and actually heart-touching (since they're not doing their actions out of the interests that'll benefit themselves but those that they're looking after).

Both series are a "deconstruction" (that is a very overused term.) of teenage social relationships. ReLIFE explores them from the point of view of a grown up dude who is shrinked into the body of a teenager and has to attend highschool, while Kokoro Connect makes its own entire cast go over and analyze their friendships because of some mysterious spell, bringing empathy and hostility between the group flourish.

both main girl characters are very similar in terms of lacking in social skills but is very talented and lonely. Both are dead pan but also funny and lovable, delievering some very good dry humour. Both deals with themes of being talented viewed from the perspective of the genius and the untalented. Both has a good balance of romance, comedy and drama

In both anime, the protagonists get to redo their lifes in high school.

In both shows there are characters that have social struggles with their classmates. The relationship between main characters is also similar, as the male lead is more "happier" type of person and the female lead more "timid" type of person. In both shows the female leads both surprise you so if you have seen one, give other a try :)

Both series feature adult characters living under assumed identities while dealing with work pressures and life in general.

The cinematography, characters and overall atmosphere of this anime feel very similar to what it was like watching ReLife. I'm sure if you enjoyed ReLife you will too Higehiro.

Similar in the fact that there are lots of tertiary romances and drama on top of the main story. Main difference is the setting, college vs highschool and Golden Time is more "in depth" with it's drama.

- High school life; - Lovable characters; - Relationship between the MCs is well paced and develops beautifully; - The male MC is more intelligent than people give him credit at first; - Somewhat dramatic but with lots of good comedy in between.

Similar in slice of life and romance, the main characters in both deal with struggles that are more or less the same.

Both place an emphasis on connecting and relating to others.

Both series are about life problems and how to solve them without evading them by keep going no matter how hard they are. Both series use romantic themes and supernatural or imposible in real life situations or artifacts to bring atention to every problem the characters face in a simplistic way.

-Both are about high school life -Good graphics, beautiful characters -Same genres: school, comedy, romance

Both take place at school and very much based on development of relationships: friendly and amorous.

Both MCs lead boring, uneventful, colorless lives and are given the chance of a lifetime to experience things they have never seen, felt and loved. In irozuku an introverted colorblind girl is sent back to the past and meets a group of people who help break her out of her shell along with a boy who's drawings allow her to see color. In ReLIFE a jobless 27-year-old man is given the chance to relive a high school life and meets a group of people along with a girl who changes his perspective on things and his outlook on life. Assimilation. ReLife and Horimiya both follow two individuals who seem to have been rejected out of their class territory due to their quiet presences, though in engaging with the correct people, they are able to make a turn for the better in their lives. ReLife does this with Hishiro joining Kaizaki and his friends in order to improve her social life, regardless of any negative stigma around her. Horimiya does this with Hori and Miyamura having an unexpected meeting, which enables them to look past superficial qualities and discover one within. Both are good rom-com, sharing the same amounts of drama too.

Both series are about a character who is a step further from destruction but with some help (which its a blonde annoying boy for both series)they manage to put their stuff together. Kono oto tomare has same kind of wholesome atmosphere and sense and that pulls me right into it. I belive without considering all of the differences between the series they give almost exactly the same feeling.

Follows the idea of reliving the past to fix one's mistake, acquiring a chance to live and regain what was taken. In my opinion, the two are fun to watch as both incorporate romantic concepts in a fictional scientific series. The vibes that the characters in these series can and might provide are quite similar despite having different character dynamics. Good series to learn and reflect on; if you loved either one, then chances are you will like the latter too.

The main characters are both turned back into their younger selves from a drug. Detective Conan has 800+ episodes and focuses more on solving crimes. But just like in ReLIFE, adapting to a new life as a younger version of yourself is part of the plot.

Aside from taking place in a high school, both series are striking similar in the way they handle realism. Slice-of-life issues are addressed from episode to episode while romance serves as an underlying plot connecting all the events. The main leads are similar in the sense that they secretly yearn for someone to understand them even though they appear to reject intimacy at the surface level. If you like one, I think you'll definitely appreciate the delicate romance of the other.
report Recommended by Demidude
The main female characters are socially awkward, have good grades at school, are directs, have the same hairstyle and are cute despite or because of their awkwardness. The story takes place in a school setting with romance, friendship themes. Humour is sometimes similar and very good. Behond the Main femal lead, the rest of the cast is pretty different though and there's no "sci-fi" aspect in tonari no kaibutsu-kun.

Both of these anime have the similar plot of the protagonist getting aged down and returning to school to change the path of their lives, after living life as a NEET. OniMai shows this off as a comedy, while ReLIFE explores this in a more serious and philosphical manner.

Both give me heart-warming feelings, like a hug i need when i feel weak. Nice story telling. The characters are well built and have good development. They care for the other, accept other's flaws and give them strength to grow and change... I'm bad at phrasing out what i want to say so here's a comment from other reader:"The anime is very light, however touch on inner conflicts that many people face, including jealousy between friends and the "real world" "

Both male protagonists look very similar and begin stuck at a deadend part-time job. Both series also focus on their relationships with the people around them. I got really similar vibes to ReLife in this first episode of Yesterday wo Utatte.

Outcast. ReLife and Say "I love you" both follow an individual who keeps themselves concealed from their peers. ReLife uses a stern Hishiro for this purpose, whilst Say "I love you" is a bit more dramatic with Mei giving herself a bad reputation, with negative rumours sprawling around her. They both, however, encounter one who goes on to become a part of their life in the name of improving their living standards for themselves and others they may associate with. Both are good romance anime with ReLife being way more lighthearted than the somewhat more serious drama Say "I love you" has.

Redo. Aside from Re:Zero and ReLife having "Re" in their title. They both have an MC who wishes to redo the past and make one a desirable one in order to proceed towards a future full of benefits for them. Re:Zero does this with Subaru and a large magnitude of deaths on his side, in comparison to a softer one timely move for Kaizaki in high school. Both are good anime with Re:Zero being a dark psychological isekai. ReLife being a nice little rom-com to enjoy. Both featuring time travel too.

ReLife and TadaKoi seem to put this "boring" guy together with a strange lady. The two come close quite quickly, but it was never anything "doki-doki" or some random friendship. It's more of a relaxed thing, but it is a beautiful and chill relaxed relationship that only makes you want to see more. The two pairs simply just go about their daily lives, witnessing what is to witness amongst friends and each other alike. They are both something of a wholesome tale, with a few twists alongside to make it something a little spicier, if you want to word it like that. Good romance stories  read more

Amelioration. ReLife and Bottom-Tier both follow people who pretty much have hit the dead-end of life to some point. Though, with meeting the correct people, they improve themselves slowly and carefully. ReLife does this with Kaizaki, a neet, time travelling back to the past, during a time of high school. Bottom-Tier does this with Tomozaki, a stereotypical negative embodiment of a gamer has Hinami aid him into being a better sociable person after his disdain for life and how it works. Both are good rom-com with ReLife being about time travel, Bottom-Tier being about games.

* The shows both feature a distraught MC that has issues. * Both have a somewhat similar art-style and animation. * Romance targeting the MC's friends are present in both but are targeted differently in each. * Both have a decent story, although ReLife has a much longer and more fulfilling story with better character development.

Both anime have characters who guide others to grow as people. In ReLIFE this is a student and in Assassination Classroom it is a teacher, though both draw wisdom from their own life experiences. While both are set in school, ReLIFE makes more use of the school setting since a big part of Assassination Classroom is their physical training.

Both are romance anime. There are bunch of heartwarming moments which is enough to make your heart melt away. But both of them are a bit rushed specially Ao Haru Ride. But Relife is quite good despite it being rushed.

Both series deal with the theme of memory-loss-of-loved-person. I would argue, however, that the ReLIFE is definitely the superior story. To be quite honest, 3D Kanojo was touching, but definitely not as memorable as ReLIFE. I always keep coming back for ReLIFE's sweet, hilarious and heartbreaking moments.

Onlooker. Chu2 and ReLife don't have a lot in common, however, they both have this one MC who feels like an onlooker on the situation, in a sense that they are the most realistic person to go to in regards to the situation. Kaizaki doing this with his adult experience influencing high schoolers, Chu2 doing this with ex-chunni Yuuta trying to make Rikka a more realistic person. Both are good rom-com, with ReLife having time travel compared to the delusions of Chu2 young people have.

These series actually have very different aproaches. Golden Boy is focused on comedy and eechi while ReLIFE is focused on drama and the issues of life. So what they have in common? Well, both are capable to make you reflect about your life and the decisions you made. By putting yourself in the skin of the main characters, you may be able to think about yourself and enjoy your life a bit more. If you don't mind in being from different genres, there is a chance you may like the other series if you like one them because of this aspect.

Both animes are similar in that they both tackle issues of adulthood and the meaning/purpose of life. However, Uramichi Oniisan's approach is somewhat cynical in this regard, whereas ReLife's approach is the opposite. ReLife's take is one full of optimism, that "it is never too late to change your situation", which I wholeheartedly endorse. That no matter what kind of challenges or depressing situation you are thrown into, sometimes you just need to take a step back and revaluate who or what is that you want/enjoy out of your life. ReLife is a dramatic slice of life, with bits of comedy here and there, but  read more

It may not look like this at first, but as the story proceeds and reaches its end (manga or special episodes) Tasogare Otome x Amnesia and ReLIFE are very similar in terms of romance and execution. These shows take place in a school setting but are grossly different from the typical slice of life shows that are set in a school in terms of the theme of the story. The usual school-set shows are usually light hearted in nature and typically revolve around the romance or the mischiefs of the main cast but in these two shows present scenarios that break away from the usual – most notable would be the absence of a beach episode and the focus on the characterization of the cast instead of just showing their day-to-day shenanigans.

Both shows have government agencies imposing their will on what they think best suits their citizen. In koi to uso, government arranges marries, in relife, the government allows one to relive their high school days. I would say that relife is more enjoying to watch than koi to uso.

Ever wondered what it would be like to start again in a younger body with your old self awereness/soul? Both anime work with this question as their main theme, but in compeletely different settings. While ReLIFE is set in modern Japan with school and Japanese society framing the days of the protagonist, Kami-tachi... is set in a fantasy world with magic and beautiful forests.

Taking away the magical drug that turns an adult into teenager in ReLIFE the similarities in both of these shows are far in between. In ReLife and in Hatsukoi Limited we meet characters who are in high school in a coming of age setting they both deal with love and friendship in a somewhat slice of life type of way however the big difference is the humor ReLife is more easy going with cute moments while Hatsukoi Limited is a little bit more ecchi.

Unsolicited gift. Clannad and ReLife both have a similarity of two individuals who feel as if the world goes against them at times, have their lives changed for the better with an unsolicited experience swiftly placed among the individuals, blooming evermore. Clannad does this with delinquent Tomoya and his encounter with Nagisa, and the other girls of Clannad. ReLife does this with the neet Kaizaki going back to high school life, and the learning of young people's actions, he also reforms the solitary Hishiro into a life that betters her social life with others. Retry. Tokikate and ReLife both follow two individuals who can take it upon themselves to go back in time to try again on what the past had to offer. Though Tokikate follows a naive Makoto and the constant disordered leaps in time in the name of fixing minor daily life mistakes, ReLife separates with its base time travel to high school life in the name of retrieving qualities lost within Kaizaki. Both are good anime with Tokikake being a movie, in comparison to ReLife's TV show with comedy to add onto. They share the same amounts of romance and drama too.

Both involves characters whom were having a shitty life, until they got some sort of second chance opportunity that has change their lives completely, but they both have some difference where one voluntarily becomes a live tester for a fountain of youth drug while the other is an old man who has obtain by accident an array of weapons and tech that would make him Cyborg's grandpa.
