It is quite a pleasant surprise for me to discover that there are actually people from another race that are more dedicated with danmei and part of the Chinese culture than I, a Chinese does.
idk lol, we're around the end of March-start of April and that's when school ends lol
Yes, yet. I don't know what you're up to after all ad whether you get yourself into trouble. But you'll be fine, trust me.
Btw, I never asked, but do you like music? And if so, what kind do you like? It's just been a huge part of my life, so I wonder what other people like in that regard.
I mean, it's understandable. I do that sometimes but also a lot of times I am able to watch something without having to do that as well. However, I do read a lot of books for extended periods of time so I guess I have been exercising my attention span.
Hopefully the mods actually took action when you reported those people. In any case, though, I just hope people aren't bothering you in that way anymore!
I liked all the songs you shared. They were nice and I enjoyed the videos that went with them. The Wakhra song was probably my favorite. :)
My birthday was good! The Saturday before my birthday (my birthday was on a Tuesday), my parents took me to Barnes & Noble for the first time. I got 4 books from the trip. Interestingly, I went there with only one book in mind that I was dying to get, called "A Love Song for Ricki Wilde" by Tia Williams, and I didn't find it until closer to the end of the trip, but it was the ONLY book in the entire store that I noticed a discount sticker on! It was half off and I didn't see any other books on sale. Of course it's possible that I missed something, but it made it feel like that was placed for me and made it more special. :)
After that, we also went to Jamba Juice for smoothies and ate at Black Bear Diner, where I had a very yummy restaurant-style waffle.
As for the day of my actual birthday, I gave myself a birthday present because there is a book called "The Favorites" by Layne Fargo, which was my most anticipated book out of the 1,850+ books on my want to read list on Goodreads (and that's not even counting the hundreds and hundreds that I've bookmarked because I haven't decided if they are interesting enough to add to the actual TBR yet lol). I started The Favorites on my birthday because I knew I was gonna love it, and I did. I finished it March 1st and it was an excellent present to myself. My parents also got me some books for my birthday, and the librarian assistant got me a really cool book embosser that says "From the library of Elijah Zarate" on it. I love that he had it custom-made for me. :)
There are other exciting things to tell you that happened just these past couple days, but I will wait until my next message so as not to make it overly long haha. And my apologies for the super late response! I've been extremely caught up in using every opportunity I get for reading and such these days that I forget to respond to people, but I think I'm back to actually replying much better now lol.
And thank you for the friend request! You are one of the only people who have ever sent me a friend request with an actual message attached haha. I wish more people would do that. :)
