Just an Egyptian
teenager (guess I'm technically an adult now?) that likes
watching anime (considering I barely watch anime anymore, this no longer holds. I read manga now, though) and playing video games.
I no longer actively use MAL or watch anime as I used to so this profile bio is extremely outdated (2018 level of outdated)
I plan on not dropping any anime no matter how awful and painful watching it was (and will eventually continue watching the stuff I already dropped)
I watch all genres of anime except mecha, ecchi, hentai, yuri, yaoi and zombies (i hate mecha anime, i stopped watching hentai and other stuff, yaoi is too gay and i'm so bored of zombies) but that doesn't mean i won't watch them from time to time and if they're good. My favorite genres would be: slice of life school comedies and psychological anime. Sci-fi can be included to but i'm pretty specific in what i like in them.
For the favorites part (if anybody actually checks those stuff), in the anime part, I add my favorite installment of the franchise to not put the same anime every time (for example, I have the disappearance of haruhi suzumiya in my favorites but other installments aren't there. it means this movie is my favorite in the franchise but i still love all of them). For characters, my favorite chars are usually the ones that give me a good laugh, are too smart or the ones that go through too much psychological suffering/breakdown. For people, the top entries is for favorite voice actors and bottom few are for favorite bands/singers.
My ratings are totally based on my personal enjoyment of shows and how I remember it in the weeks/months after I completed them.
10: an anime I love and would gladly rewatch again. I like every aspect of it even if some parts weren't the best
9: something I enjoyed a lot and will probably rewatch it at some point of time. I felt something was missing from them but they were still great
8: I liked them and might rewatch a few episodes of them some time later
7: good but not the best
6: they are bad for the most part but there are some funny scenes every now and then to make it good
5: extremely average anime with nothing special.
4: bad, i sometimes enjoy shows ranked 4 more than the ones ranked with 5 but it depends on the anime
3: very bad, it just fucks up so hard at everything but still manages to have at least a few moments to not make me give it a worse rating
2: awful, this one is just the worst of the worst. this anime is just a pain to watch and i sat there wondering why i started it every second i'm watching it. it makes me very dissatisfied by the end of every episode and makes me very satisfied when it ends cause it's finally over so i can proceed to forget about it.
1: unwatchable. this is a mistake by the human kind. every moment of it is a moment of suffering and torture. this should have not existed in the first place as it is just inhumane to even make. as of right now, no anime has had the (opposite of) honor of being given a 1 by me as i tend to look at the slightest good thing of an anime. if i gave something a 1, it's probably after breaking my rule and actually dropping this shit.
Edit: The Great Honor of being the first shit to get a 1 rating by me goes to:
The Reflection
Edit2: The honor for the double 1 goes to:
Shichisei no Subaru and
Lord of Vermilion: Guren no Ou
i like most genres but i sometimes judge anime like i'm some kind of a critic. i give predictable anime/anime filled with cliches low ratings unless they make up for it with something else (e.g. plot twists, good art, good moments....etc).
you can also check the tags section to see how i think about the anime. for the anime with no tags, i either have nothing to say about them or i'm waiting for them to finish airing if they're still airing
don't hesitate to send me a friend request. 11 times out of 10, i will be accepting them

I truly hope that all these lazy, money-grubbing studios will one day die out and anime as shitty as Goblin Slayer are going to stop getting made.
This shit needs to stop. Anime should be art, not mass-appealing low-quality garbage.
Look, I don't have anything against Goblin Slayer as a story as I have not read any of it, and I believe everything should be able to appear in fiction and therefore rape and gore don't make me budge one bit in fiction.
However, when your anime completely cuts out the backstory for the characters that get murdered and raped in order to be able to cram more shock factor and edginess in there, ALSO the fact that this garbage kind of quality is generally accepted by the community nowadays, it makes me wonder why the fuck we are watching and caring about shitty, cheap seasonal anime in the first place.
since we have similar tastes i don't mind
