Very similar sense of humor and antics
report Recommended by AnimeObasan
Very similar to Nichijou. A School comedy with absurd gags that will definitely make you laugh.
report Recommended by Novastar12
3 friends having fun with each other and interacting with lots of different people. Both have great comedy in them and both are quite enjoyable.
report Recommended by RPWPA
- both have 3 main girl characters who are best friends but treat each other like jerks - both similar comedy, same school life setting - both hilarious and very similar style of humor
report Recommended by iNinjeek
Both series have a ... f'd.. up sense of humor that had me rolling on the floor dying.
report Recommended by KustyKabs
Cute girls doing crazy, rather than cute, things. Similar humour, ridiculous recurring characters and hilarious friendships.
report Recommended by Ph0esz
Both are comedies that are actually enjoyable and are not filled with second-hand embarrassment. The focus is more on the characters than on a relevant plot. Although not on the same level as Asobi Asobase, Sakiki does have its fair share of screaming and hilarious faces to go along with the anime. In general, their plots aren't alike but they have the same vibe.
report Recommended by mai_mai_
Both series are episodic and revolve around a very loose plot. Here are some common, and best qualities of the two shows: Ugly-cute gag (applies to both characteristics and situational), light-hearted, and silly.

2 great comedy animes perfect to pass the time.(Eng)/ 2 excelentes animes de comédia perfeitos para passar o tempo.(Pt-Br)

Imagine Gintama's ridiculous, progressively more insane comedy, but focused on three high school girls.

Similar, absurd sense of humour - Asobi Asobase is like Azumanga on steroids.
report Recommended by sajagi
Both are about an all-girl group of friends at school, and uses weird and absurd humour. I love them both, they're really funny and surprising. 4-nin had much less success, so I hope some people who liked Asobi asobase watch it !
report Recommended by Pumpkinyaaan
If you like the comedy portions in hinamatsuri then you'll like a lot of asobi asobase as a whole
report Recommended by stripedshirt
Both are filled with dark humor and are more or less slice of life. The humor does gives similar vibes, and there are comical facial expressions in both. Confused character and if you like the sense of humor in asobi asobase, you'd definitely like gokudolls.
report Recommended by future_dose
Hilarious slice-of-life comedies about a club which exists solely for its members to slack off, as they take place in an all-girls academy there is heavy girls love undertones, albeit more heavy handed in Yuru Yuri. Both are incredibly high quality in comedic delivery and have similar character types, some of the best in the CGDCT genre and firmly stand tall among them.
report Recommended by Jerkhov
Both anime focus on the ridiculous everyday interactions and dynamics of 3 female friends in a school setting. Asobi Asobase not only features a similar sense of humor to Oshiete! Galko-chan, but also dabbles with some coming of age topics as well. If you are looking for something light-hearted and to simply be entertained, you need to give this a chance! Similarities: - school / comedy genres - 3 female friends - draws humor from naiveté of characters - talks about loosely similar topics in a very similar manner From a comical standpoint, Asobi Asobase is a touch more juvenile compared to Oshiete Galko-chan; while both focus on the  read more

The humour is very similar and both focus on girls and their relationships with each other and the world. The comedy and humour is quite similar as well.

Both have a similar style of absurd comedy.

Komi doesn't go as extreme as Asobi Asobase, even if some characters act abrasively/irreverently in both shows, it does compare with both series taking place in school and take a mundane enough situation but because the characters we follow can't act normally the whole thing takes an extreme turn which results in laugh-out-loud comedy. Both shows are famous/infamous for the various reactions which elevate the comedy aspect of the series, Komi character expressions are intentionally dull but are usually placed intense situations while Asobi Asobase's facial reactions get intentionally disgusting or unappealing in their explosive humor. If you're seeking something stronger than Komi, Asobi Asobase  read more

Three female friends just fool around, do and say random funny stuff, and even make a club to do exactly that in. Both mostly take place in a school.
report Recommended by Kikugi
People says that it's similar to ''Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou'', but it's just because the action takes place at school. The humour is totally different. On the other hand those two have more improtant similarities like 'funny reactions and facial expressions' or 'funny sound effects'. U can laugh all day long.

Both anime are about a bunch of Highschool girls who do ridiculous things.
report Recommended by xShinigami3125
both of them always play some games in their room have a MC which is rich and have a maid (or butler in Asobi Asobase) both of them have a good narrator

Very Similar sense of humor and aesthetic. with the cute girls and everything.

- In both the main characters are girls who joke at each other - Both have a similar club atmosphere - Both are not usual moe titles

Bocchi the Rock! is one of the most creative comedy series in years. Its humour is centered on a single character with social anxiety as she tries to be part of a band. It uses an unhinged animation style to portray how the main character is feeling, which creates very funny and memorable moments. Asobi Asobase is easily part of the top tier of comedy anime. Its gag humour is centered on the dynamics of three characters as they hangout after school. It uses an unhinged animation style to emphasize its ridiculous takes. Both anime excel at absurd comedy, which is very difficult to  read more

-School setting where they just do random things that'll make you laugh -Easy to consume, just watch it -Great for taking breaks from watching too much sadness

Both shows feature exaggerated facial expressions as a main part of their comedy and weird voice acting that fleshes out the character's strengths (Hina Kino with Hanako, Saori Hayami with Yumeko).

Gag comedy with cast of girls that have unusual personalities. Cute girls doing not so girly things.
report Recommended by abystoma2
Bunch of girls literally create a club to just lounge around and do dumb and funny stuff in. Kitaku-bu Katsudou Kiroku is less wacky though.
report Recommended by Kikugi
Both have school girls hanging around doing random things each episode. Both have that one fake dodgy english speaking foreigner. Both are funny and silly.
report Recommended by Gwendolly
Both are slice-of-life comedy animes that focus on a group of girls. In Joshiochi, the girls play games with dares in order to win money, while in Asobi Asobase, the girls try to teach a foreign girl about Japanese culture and end up playing various traditional games. If you liked the dynamic between the characters in one anime, then you will most likely enjoy it in the other as well.

Comedy based on daily lives of quirky highschool girls. Asobi Asobase: "crazy/intense" humor/slapstick situations and characters, light-hearted This: realism, cinematography, interesting characters, comedy with serious tone
report Recommended by RodebertX
I have no idea how nobody has made this connection before me, but here goes! Both Asobi Asobase and Sabage-bu! focus on groups of cute yet goofy girls running a bizarre and wacky school club with an unusual subject matter. Both animes unfold thanks to the insane antics that unfold between the main girls as they run their club. Sabage-bu focuses more on the action and slapstick while Asobi is more absurdist and has a lot more referential jokes. Both are really funny and while they have a lot of similarities, they are also very different, so it's worth it to watch them both!

Minami-ke and Asobi Asobase are comedy series featuring three girls and their antics. Minami-ke is more a comedic, casual slice of life. Asobi Asobase is more of a sketch comedy with some pretty crazy takes. Physical comedy is a big part of both series, but you'll also have a laugh from the different personalities interacting with each other.
report Recommended by lancelot200
Relaxing slice of life about a regular girl friend group (mostly simple flat characters, although A-Channel does flesh them out slightly more)-- Both are funny, A-Channel is calmer/more relaxing.
report Recommended by WumpaDumpa
Another slice of life about a girl friend group (Of three). Aiura is much more laid-back however, perhaps also more realistic (Title also starts with an A hahahhahhaahahha)
report Recommended by WumpaDumpa
Hey, did you like the absurdist comedy of Asobi Asobase derived from a bunch of girls running a wacky school club with an unusual topic? Do you think the jokes were still too high-brow? Do you think you have way too many functioning braincells lying around? Do you think crayons look yummy? Well, look no further. The answer all along was deer.
report Recommended by JJMFREAP
If you love Binbougami ga because of the comedy then you will give people ear cancer by your laugh watching Asobi asobase. They both had fucked up comedy. I really recommend you watching this, its one of the top tier comedy anime.
report Recommended by de_dencin
If you’re into slapstick humour in a kinda slice of life way - definitely for you. Asobi Asobase was one of the very rare 10/10 ratings from me purely because of its well placed yet slightly outlandish humour. Neither animes are particularly serious, and the vibe they project is definitely similar enough to warrant my recommendation :)
report Recommended by k0va
Small group of girls just relaxing and having a good time asobi asobase is more comedy that you just relax and turn off your brain for Yuru camp is relaxing and cathartic with some comedy so its a chill watch high school girls doing what they want and having fun
report Recommended by IDK_No
They are both pretty chill and just comfort anime
report Recommended by DeadEndREQUIEM
Both consist of a good female lead cast. There isn't a necessary plot to both, They are just a simple slice of life with a hint of comedy. Though Joshiraku is good for a little 'cultured in Japanese culture' audience due to the references used for the comedy, Asobi Asobase can be enjoyed by anyone.

• Both Animes Have A Western Protagonist. • Both Animes Have Cute Girls Doing Cute Things • Both Animes Have A Good Slap-Stick Like Humor
report Recommended by LunarCatx
Both shows feature female lead cast and are most of the times quite wholesome, Though Gotoubun No Hanayome is a romcom, I am pretty sure who liked Asobi Asobase will also like Gotoubun No Hanayome !
report Recommended by UsurperMilano
Both have a main character (in Asobi Asobase’s case, one of the main 3) that’s basically a “femcel”, wants to be seen as cool/popular, is insecure and has a conventionally attractive friend. Both are primarily comedy anime with female main characters and have humor based on the situations the characters get themselves in. Asobi Asobase has more of absurd comedy, while Watamote is a bit more grounded.

Some great anime if you wanna laugh out loud!

Asobi Asobase and Sakamoto Desu ga? have different comedy styles that delivers on laughter from the start. Sakamoto Desu ga? is a parody anime about being cool where the main character is aloof similar to Saitama in One Punch Man. Asobi Asobase is an energetic sketchy comedy with ridiculous takes that avoids being complete nonsense. These anime are so funny that even people who don't care for comedy series will enjoy them.
report Recommended by lancelot200
Character-wise, Hanako (Asobi Asobase) pretty much has the same aura or genki-level as Tenma (School Rumble) has. Both pretty much has the comedy in them. (and with hair fall-down, Hanako kinda looks like her, too)
report Recommended by GiancarloLS
The gag of Asobi Asobase just resonates so much on the Kill Me Baby level, and even more! ;)
report Recommended by GiancarloLS
Both have a strange sense of humor, you probably will laugh a lot watching Asobi Asobase if you had fun with Inferno cop
report Recommended by theluki
in my opinion both have a similiar comedy taste even tho Gaikotsu Shotein takes place at a book shop while Asobi takes place at school both of them talks about daily life moments that ocurr in a funny and exaggerated way what makes impossible not to laugh while watching them if you want to have a good time while watching anime i recommend one of these
report Recommended by BakaDorayaki
3 young female protagonists enjoying life as they can and some ridiculous situations, episodes composed of little segments, basically Mitsuboshi is a light version of Asobi Asobase's blue humour
report Recommended by curvedtree
This is extremely niche recommendation for Asobi Asobase as it's only for small portion of that anime, but if you liked the animation style of the ending sequence, you should check out Tengoku too.
report Recommended by abystoma2
Both consists of exaggerated hilarious short abnormal stories.

- Similar absurdist comedy. - Both anime somewhat pretend to be cutesy-sweet at a very surface-level glance.
report Recommended by Fashion_Mage
Cast of cute but quirky girls, with the comedy centered on their banter that tends to get quite random.
report Recommended by abystoma2
Both shows feature a lot dirty jokes featuring perverted girls who are making the joke

Both are set in an all girls school, for starters. Both have funny gags, and both are good slice of life animes, for “The daily lives of high school girls” so to speak. And no, I have not seen the anime who’s title I’m paraphrasing, just to clarify. And they both have their nice little gags in there as well, in said all girls schools.

Kimi to Boku. and Asobi Asobase are school life anime focusing on the friendship between the main characters. No heavy drama or romance. Both anime are very light on narrative. Asobi Asobase, however, is peak sketch comedy with some wild moments. Kimi to Boku. is very much your definition of comedic slice of life. Your enjoyment for these anime will depend on whether you laugh watching their lives.
report Recommended by lancelot200
Both shows contain overly exaggerated comedy, more so than you'll see in average gag shows. They both also use loudness and facial expressions as the primary source of comedy
report Recommended by Short_Circut
Both are slightly absurdist comedies which incorporate or parody other popular genres (ZLS Idol/Horror and Asobi Slice of Life), both starring cute girls. If you enjoy the style of comedy in ZLS, Asobi Asobase is for you.
report Recommended by Sudran
Two cute anime which looks can be quite deceiving. Underneath the cute appearances are straight-up non-sense comedies. If you're looking for anime with random comedy and a lot of non-sense, these fit the description. Although they look like girly animations they hardly have cute moments. Dumb and delusional characters that are constantly fighting and overreacting, weird events and lack of logic. But the most important similarity is how the characters completely ignore their main goal (Milky Holmes not caring about getting their powers back or becoming great detectives and Kasumi not caring about improving her English skills at all) and just do pointless stuff instead.
report Recommended by INU4SH4
Both are absurdist, surreal comedies featuring a unisex cast in a school setting. I like to imagine Asobi Asobase personified as Cromartie High's little punk sister. Asobi Asobase tends to prefers high energy humor while Cromartie High, which is by no means slow paced, will occasionally play the long game with their jokes. Visual humor is prominent in both shows, with particular emphasis placed on absurd facial expressions. Side Note: If you do plan on watching Cromartie High School, I would highly, HIGHLY, recommend the english dub. I don't think Asobi Asobase has or will get an english dub, but that doesn't matter as the  read more

Despite being a Ghibli movie, My Neighbors the Yamadas is an overlooked movie because it does not conform to the Ghibli standard. It is a comedic, casual slice of life anime shown in a series of relatable vignettes. Asobi Asobase has a different comedy style, which can be described as a sketch comedy with some pretty insane humour. Both titles can be gems for comedy lovers.

They are both firstly Hilarious! We see the funny interactions of theses characters mostly in school and around. The character interactions being the selling point, it is easy to get lost in both of them and just find yourself smiling and giggling uncontrollably. Along with the humour comes a touch of heart most people are sure to appreciate.
report Recommended by SenninSage
Both animes have the same humor. It's hilarious just like Asobi.
report Recommended by xNutelly
The plot is that there is no plot. Lucky Star and Asobi Asobase are exactly carbon copies with each other with ther nonsensical comedy and cute girls doings way too many random things. Also, both have the chaotical girl (Konata and Olivia), the well endowed glasses girl (Miyuki and Kasumi) and the twin-tailed girl (Kagami and Hanako). At the end of each episodes, there's a somehow comedy number.
