The funniest animes I have ever watched composed mostly of mindless and non-sensical fun. Definitely a good time.
Both anime feature wild "What the fuck?" humour that doesn't make sense. Pretty much nonstop gags with "ugly" drawings periodically for effect. Asobi Asobase is more demure (they aren't in swim suits) but it's rougher more aggressive humour.
Same style of comedy with a different setting: Grand Blue being centered around college boys vs. Asobi Asobase being centered around middle school girls.

- neither are plot heavy, but do maintain continuity
If you laughed your ass off with Grand Blue's jokes (specially the dirty ones), then you might as well like Asobi Asobase, they might not be so similar by the looks, but the characters and situations are actually a lot alike (Ex: Olivia and Kohei as the character with good looks, but with a weird characteristic).
Also, voice actors really did an awesome job in both shows, plus the "reaction faces" are funny af.
Both: "trashy" jokes/funny situation, characters like to have fun (in their own ways, respectively)

Both of them are probably one of the best comedy animes I’ve ever seen, if you liked Grand Blue you’ll love Asobi Asobase.
Mainly because the comedy of the two animes are very similar, and they are not repetitive, unlike most comedy animes.
It has the same energy. Both are hilarious as hell, the faces the characters make are absurd, and it's bound to get you to laugh hard.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if Grand Blue and Hitoribocchi had a child? And also, what would happen if that child was a drug addicted?
The answer is: Asobi Asobase. Ugly faces that are really funny and a idiot and nonsense humor makes this anime almost as good as Grand Blue.
