Right?! That theory is insanely cool, and the "Newgen Angels" line in the subtitles just makes it even more convincing. Their modern-looking designs really fit that whole concept too.
And now that you mention it, a cyber/techno/sci-fi angle would be really cool! Imagine if the final villain actually turned out to be AI, that would be such a wild twist (but I’m totally here for it).
Scanty and Kneesocks getting a power-up in the climax feels almost inevitable, and I can already picture how over-the-top it would be. There are just so many ways this could go!
But yeah, I’m mostly just curious to see how they transition from that insane season 1 finale. Whatever they do, I just know it’s gonna be a ride.

Btw the theory about the Demon Sisters not being in the new season, I don’t think that’s going to happen. I just checked Trigger’s Twitter, and they posted cardboard cutouts of all the characters. The Demon Sisters are there, just placed all the way in the back with Garterbelt. So I guess they’re hinting that the Demon Sisters won’t be the main focus anymore.

Yeah, exactly! And in the video link you sent me, the top comment mentioned, "Them being referred to as 'NewAngels' and named after synthetic clothing materials instead of actual clothes makes me think they're artificial angels." So who knows, maybe these twinks are secretly the villains, and the angel and demon baddies will have to team up to stop them.

That’s actually a solid theory! The demon sisters might end up becoming some kind of upgraded species, possibly as a punishment from the "Mayor." Based on how Season 1 ended, where they couldn’t beat the angel sisters, because Panty was too busy being a little angel slut who wanted that cough cough. ;)

I thought the same thing, I was like, April? That’s just one month away! They only recently announced the second season, so how could they already be done with the planning?

Yeah, I saw them on the Trigger official Twitter account and thought, *Who are these diva twins?* I was pretty surprised to find out they were men. Does that mean we won’t get to see the demon sisters if Panty and Stocking have new rivals? :\ Well, it’s still too early to judge, so we’ll see! :D

I'm not sure if it's true since my source is Twitter however it did come from the trigger studios official account, but it looks like the second season of Panty & Stocking will be airing next month on April 9th! That's so soon, I seriously can't wait! ^_^

I have this small feeling that those rumors were kind of orchestrated by Trigger, but that’s probably just my own little conspiracy theory. Once something spreads on Twitter, everyone retweets it so fast that I honestly thought it was real.

Trigger is one of my favorite studios. Their art style is so unique and playful, almost like an old-school American teen cartoon. And when they use ecchi, it’s not right in your face, but somehow, it always feels well-timed. Like that episode of Panty & Stocking where they find Garterbelt’s secret sex dungeon, despite the whole theme, the ecchi didn’t feel excessive. It just worked.

Also, I really appreciate how they handle swearing. Instead of just sticking to basic profanity like “fuck” and “shit,” they get pretty creative with it. It ends up sounding both vulgar and strangely clever at the same time.

As for Black Lagoon, it really stands out, especially with so many new anime releases being mostly romance-focused. I don’t want to be that person, but honestly, a lot of post-2020 anime is starting to feel repetitive. There are still some great ones like Zenshu, which is airing now and is actually really good, but Black Lagoon has a completely different energy. It feels like a mix of Breaking Bad and an intense crime thriller, just animated. Almost like a DC animated film, but without superheroes just more guns, crime, and gritty neighborhoods.

So yeah, Black Lagoon is great. If you ever watch it, I’d love to hear what you think. :)

The moment I heard the news, I lost my shit. I thought it was clickbait because I remember seeing something back in 2020 about Panty & Stocking getting a second season, but that turned out to be fake. -_- But now that it’s actually happening, I’m so happy!

Same here, I absolutely loved the dub. I don’t think any anime has done an English dub as well as Panty & Stocking did ( well there's also black lagoon the dub doesn't hold back) . I have a feeling the new season will be just as wild as the first, they’re definitely not going to hold back. :D

By the way, have you watched Black Lagoon? The dub is just as wild as Panty & Stocking, but the plot is completely different. The voice actors have nice voices that fit the characters perfectly.

Hello, it's really nice to meet you too! Yes, I absolutely love Panty & Stocking—it’s such a great show, and the sexual humor is hilarious. Have you heard that season 2 is being announced? I’m so excited, but it seems like the sub will be released first. The dub was definitely one of the best parts of the show, though! :)
