Cute girls doing crazy, rather than cute, things. Similar humour, ridiculous recurring characters and hilarious friendships.
Both basically are about high school girl daily life with over the top comedy scenes. Chio chan is more about mc using her pc gaming knowledge to solve wacky problem she is facing, while Asobi asobase is more about trio girls playing traditional games in sadomasochistic's way

Both series are comedies about the funny life of a group of girls' who are often considered to be strange guys at school.
Chio-chan and three girls in "Asobi Asobase" are all game lovers. You can see a lot of netas about games in both series.
Cute girls doing less cute things. Absurd humour.
Characters with a bit of a mean streak.
Friends giving each other a hard time.
Both relish in the girls' twisted character.
-Crazy Comedy
-Three girls doing crazy things
-Many of the personalities are alike
I think the first two episodes will remind you a lot the feeling that Asobi Asobase gives. So if you have finished watching it and want more like AA you should try this one.
It's crazy that both shows were aired in the same season. And by the looks of it, Chio-san got the short straw but only in mass-recognition. Both animes are about funny friendship of flawed but adorable people in wild and original situations.

Both anime include hilarious, over-the-top depictions of seemingly mundane everyday situations.
Both are absolutely great slapstick comedies that happened to air at the same time: summer of 2018.
Asobi Asobase & Chio are kinda similar in lots of way. Both of the main plotline is episodic which includes schoolgirls doing lots of awkward ''not-so-girly'' stuff altogether which eventually truns into hilarious & batshit crazy situations while radiating the same weirdo aura with perfectly executed comic reliefs.
As for Chio chan, the comedy is not cliched or unfunny like it might seems, instead it really stands out from the mediocrity that generally eats up these animes. The little fun filled joyous adventures of Chio are really unique and humourous. Playing Kabaddi with homosexual senpai and exploiting her sexual preference to win aginst her, escaping men's toilet or chio's bizarre
