少女アニメと漫画大好き-Shoujo Anime to Manga Daisuki

Shoujo manga and anime is generally intended for female audiences from ages 10-18, but females of all ages (and some males) can read, watch and enjoy it. Shoujo titles usually contains female protagonists, and romantic themes, but it can also have various themes like sci-fi, fantasy, supernatural and along others as well. Unfortunately, a lot of titles, like the Seinen Ah! My Goddess and Chobits and the Shounen Love Hina, are mistakenly labeled as Shoujo manga/anime because of the similarities of the storylines associated with the demographic. However, while Shoujo has idealistic romantic stories, Seinen and Josei focuses on a more realistic approach in romance/life.

This is for all the fans of Shoujo anime and manga, from classics like Ribon no Kishi, Rose of Versailles, Candy Candy and Sailor Moon to modern-day favorites like Fruits Basket, Full Moon, Ouran High School Host Club, Lovely Complex, Vampire Knight and Skip Beat and much, much more. We got over 150 300 (!) titles in the manga relations list alone.

@RICEA42991 No problem, and yes, this year hasn't been good so far..:< Just this month again, the voice of my favorite character in my second favorite game of all times as announced she will be retiring at the end of this month, and we have no idea why.. She still had many years to her career so its a bit strange tbh imho... Hopefully we get a better idea as to why that is soon..

Ahh, nice!! I don't know how much the anime covered from the manga, but I do know that I was absolutely satisfied by the end of it, enough so for it to STILL be my favorite anime of all times, some 8 years after!!<3 X'39

@Klefki_of_Awsome Goodness this is eerie, this is the first time I've heard of plenty of people attend funerals in just these past 2 months more then I've ever had.........some start to the new year :/

About the new shoujo anime announcement. It may have been due to it coming from the same creator of a well known mangaka.

I've actually started finally reading Anonymous Noise.....so that's one thing that came out from last year's Hana to Yume's anniversary for me.

@RICEA42991 Oh no worries, I also had to attend a funeral last month so I know how draining and hard it can be.. Unfortunately life still moves on and I'm still VERY busy so I can't really stop and relax or anything but ideally later this month I should have time for reflexion and such..^^'3
My condolences to you though! I see, that's convenient, at least you didn't have to make a whole new post for them. I feel like I've heard about that new shoujo adaptation btw, but don't remember exactly where I've seen it..>:P>

Hmm, maybe.. The art looked nice, which is what got me interested in the first place, but from what I'm seeing, its about romanticized kidnapping or something of the sort? I'll have to see it myself before making an opinion, but seems like it blew on anitwitter and that's why the score's low here as well..

@Klefki_of_Awsome Hey there, thanks for letting me know about this. I've been caught up with so many things this past week including attending funeral of someone I've known that I haven't had a chance to look into it. Thankfully last month's sticky update I added the additional 2 announcements here the end of the month's post so it kind of rolls over into this month.

As for this anime you mentioned. I wonder if this is more of a josei? The manga isn't labelled here, but on some other unofficial websites it's labelled shoujo....so I guess it's unsure. However, from the reviews it's getting on here........goodness....it's getting so much hate?

@RICEA42991 Considering checking the anime for this next season, but was wondering if its a shoujo or not.. The art looks shoujo like so I was wondering if it was a similar case to the other series we were discussing before. :o>

@kihel Interesting to know that the concept of Versailles movie being a musical interested more viewers in Japan. I think this shows the difference between the Japanese experience and those outside Japan because sadly we don't get those nice anime musicals.......(we do get Disney musicals though haha) I will read your review.

I always thought it was best to contact an author through their networking site or a fan letter which is why I saw it strange that the 'read this manga' event included that 'message to author' section?? I guess it's just put there as a nice idea????

I wonder if 31 Dream was put on hold because Tanemura-san is very busy with her time involvement with Idolish 7? Wow! Thanks for mentioning that of Goodbye Miniskirt, it's great news that it's back in serialization :D I am excited to read it again soon.
