Looks like I'm the first reviewer! Well, here I go:
To say the least, I've recently gotten into a lot of shoujo/josei manga, and this is slightly more interesting than the ones I have seen before. What's special about it?
The story, first off, is pretty cliche. A girl gets fiances (yes, two) because her grandfather's ex-lover wants her to be married into the family. Creative? Not really. There was a twist at the end of the fourth chapter, I believe, that made me think it was really original, but it settled back into routine afterwards. But even with that, it still stayed away from
...
any of the assaulty plot bunnies that other shoujo usually take in stride. That, I appreciated.
The art was alright. I admit, I started reading this because the main guys looked like Tamaki and Kyoya from Ouran. And if you can't tell from the username, I'm one of the biggest Kyoya fangirls on the planet (still waiting for season two guys). The other art is also fine, I don't have any problems with it, but it isn't particularly outstanding.
The characters were better than usual. Going back to the dear Kyoya-lookalike, Kaze, I can't tell you how many times I fawned over him in this manga because he seemed like a fanfictiony version of Kyoya. Nagi was alright, but he was kinda (excuse my language :P) the typical fuckboi with no other character whatsoever than being a hottie all the girls throw themselves over. And he's a dick. But secretly caring. For some reason. I didn't like his character, to say the least. Kaze, while he was also a little bit of a jerk, did manage to be interesting enough that I liked him. The heroine, Touko, was unmemorable and replaceable with anyone (or any inanimate object) like usual. Nothing about her was original in the least.
Despite all that, I think I enjoyed this way more than I ever thought I would-- definitely one of the better shoujo manga I have read!
I would recommend this if you: like shoujo, like love triangles, like jealousy, like tsundere heroines, like Kyoya and Tamaki from Ouran, like love pentagons
I would NOT recommend this if you: don't like love triangles/other geometric shapes, want a deep plot, want something really different from what other shoujo manga have to offer
Now, before I sign off, I'll add one little rant here to close it off: PLEASE CLICK AWAY NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS!!!

WHY DID NAGI WIN TOUKO AT THE END? It was cliche, and it made literally no sense. Kaze did more for her than Nagi ever did, and Kaze and Touko had actual chemistry and an actual relationship. He sacrificed things for her while Nagi just flirted with whoever he wanted all the time and was terrible with his feelings too. I didn't like it, but then again, the blondes always win in shoujo love triangles, I guess. :( More Kaze left over for me!
Have a great day everyone!
