If you want to read a Shoujo Manga with an age gap, this is not the one to read. Kinkyori Renai suffers from re-using Love Triangles, although this is most common in early Shoujo Manga they do it more often than usual. There's an overall 45 chapters, and It felt like every 10th/5th chapter there would be a new love rival.
The romance between MC and Main Love Interest is non-existence. Although they say how much they feel toward each other it never really showed. It's overly frustrating this. Characters would go through a situation where they have to improve their communication with their partner
...
and it would work out, but in the next few chapters a new character is introduced and all the development in the previous chapter is thrown out and it's just a never-ending cycle.
Story - 2/10
The story is nothing original, although for a lot of shoujo manga you don't need to reinvent the wheel. Kinkyori Renai does not do anything new nor is it charming in any form. It tried to have really quirky characters and made archetypes really dynamic. The pacing was also all over the place. It tried too hard to be funny by adding in "lulz random quirky" humor, the main character is a victim of this.
Kinkyori Renai was hard to finish. I had a hard time deciding whether to keep going, but I was curious how would it end. Perhaps it would have a twist, but I was wrong. I mentioned before that it felt like in every other chapter there would be a love triangle. When there was nothing else happening rather than developing the relationship between MC and Main Love interest they would introduce a new rival and it would be a cycle of fighting, making up and next chapter a new rival shows up. It felt like a chore finishing it
The last few chapters weren't good as well. Not a satisfying ending at all, only shows that even in the end MC and Main Love interest continue to be terrible at communication and have no chemistry at all
Character - 2/10
I did not like a single character. Everyone felt like a caricature of the usual shoujo characters. It was hard to be attached to anyone. It was also a bit difficult to feel bad for the characters when something bad happened to them, honestly, you just feel annoyed with them rather than sympathy most of the time
I think only one or two of the supporting character I could tolerate
Art - 7/10
