Nice to meet you. I'm Japanese, but I registered to study English. I can't speak English very well, so it may be late to reply, but I'd be happy if you could get along with me! As the number of my friends is increasing, I may decline your friend request if there is no particular reason for it. In that case, I'm sorry.
There was a time when I was a little bit of a cosplayer. A long, long time ago, though.
Anime movies I've seen in theaters recently
Mononoke Movie: Karakasa Look Back Meitantei Conan Movie 27: 100-man Dollar no Michishirube Haikyuu!! Movie: Gomisuteba no Kessen
Then again, I love the Slayers series, so I'd love to talk to someone or something!

What are those 9 Novels you're currently reading about? I'm guessing that some of them are mystery novels, used to be able to read some of those book titles but I've forgotten hiragana & katakana.
What are the Slayers novel extra-terrestrial specials, are they like bonus novel side stories? Speaking of the Slayers novels I've finally gotten to volume 9, the ending to that one was a little abrupt. I like the new characters, and it took reading 9 Volumes to realize Lina is very nosy.
Never knew the first season of Slayers was called Muji; does that mean its Muji, Next then Try? Do you think starting at NEXT influenced your view on the rest of the series? Slightly envious you were able to watch it on TV, I believe it only broadcasted abroad on the International channel. Never had access to the channel, and the information of what broadcasted was very limited. Found it odd it wasn't broadcasted with Pokemon on the regular channels seeing how it was the same English Dubbing and Cast they chose for Slayers around the same time.
Its cool you got to see Slayers Great at the Cinema even if it didn't leave much of an impression compared to Tenchi
Muyo.
I thought the "call me JoOusama" was a reference to another anime. In the English dub Lina may have said something like "I can't explain every gag/reference" made me curious, honestly thought it was a Sailor Moon antagonist reference yet I've never watched that series.
Hello kihel-san, it's been a while! How are you doing? Hope you're doing well there. Been busy with irl things so I'm barely open mal since few months ago.
I took the photos with smartphone, they were taken on whim not because I went out with the intention to photograph them.
I went to play basketball as usual..
And then the ball got stuck in a mysterious way.
Seems a bit overwhelming having that many unread books, but at least you always have something to read.
So you've read some childrens fantasy, that reminded me of a series called Dragon Slayer Academy I read in elementary school almost 20+ years ago; my first introduction to fantasy literature. You also seem to have some interest in horror if you've read Stephen King and Darren Shan's works. I only know Stephen King's Riding the Bullet audio book and the movies like Christine the evil car. Another thing does Detective Conan have any influence on an interest in mystery novels?
I've never considered The Slayers CD dramas due to availability, translations, and region coding. But if its anything like novels same cast differing stories, it may be worth the trouble. Do any of the drama's include Naga and her signature laugh?
I see you like the scenes where Xellos plays a key roll in the comedy. And isn't the fisherman story where they use Zelgadis as an anchor? Speaking of parodies in Slayers Great I think they reference the Seven Days of Fire from Nausicaa with Lina & Naga's Golems. Although there is one reference I could never figure out in Slayers Season 1 Episode 11. Where Lina is helping clear out a cave of monsters at one moment then she puts on a mask and starts whipping one of the monsters with a whip saying call me queen. That may not be the exact translation, but do you know what that might be referencing?
Unfortunately Higaeri Quest seems to be in Japan only, I could try to import/translate it but as you told me about Slayers it may be difficult to translate.
You definitely piqued my interest in Orphen, perhaps I will try and watch it before reading. Though that may take awhile getting Slayers is my 1st priority at the moment. Speaking of which any series you take priority in getting? Also have you read any novels from abroad?
Speaking of the Slayer CD drama's many of them seem to be untranslated on Youtube. There does seem to be auto-translated captions on some of them, those captions may not be accurate but Ill give them a try. Also what is your favorite funny moment in Slayers?
Halloween was quiet for me too. I have No friends to go with trick or treat with , But I went out for a walk around the town enjoying the decorations and costumes. Some even dress up like anime characters..Living in a party town certainly has its perks when it comes to celebrations and festive events.
I took some photographs of the sky from the public park during dawn and during blue hours and golden hours. The sky looked amazing exactly like in anime ! Dawn, blue hour, and golden hour are best times for photography, also learned this fact from anime.
They offer different lighting and colors that can really make the sky stand out.
I would like to post the photos in forums thread about my experience capturing the skies 🪂⛈️☁️
There is a family fuedes going on for a month a half even though it has nothing to do with me, I am still affected by it.
I'm also very worried about my near and dear ones. I know I can't control their feelings and actions but I wish they would take better care of their health.
I didn't take part in the Halloween events because I don't have the time or desire to explore puzzles.
I'm very much focused on getting my peak fitness back. I'm running 10 km every day.
I also take a evening walk after dinner.
Are you hype for Christmas? Did you get the trees out yet to decorate or started your Christmas shopping?
I didn't.
Wow, you've had quite an eventful few months! Your travels and cultural experiences sound like a privilege . Visiting Hong Kong and seeing the iconic scenery from CC Sakura and Ghost in the Shell must have been once in a lifetime opportunity.
Your October Adventures:
30th Anniversary of Conan: The exhibit sounds like a treasure trove for a fan like me. Seeing original sketches and memorabilia like the murder weapon and anesthesia needle watches would make me very happy.
.
Business Trip and Period Drama Play: Taking a chance on a play with over 800 episodes sounds daunting for me but you found it rewarding. It’s great to hear you enjoyed it!
Business Trip to Shiga Prefecture: Visiting the Kaiyodo Museum and Omi Shrine with their connections to Chihayafuru and Conan. Also experiencing a Noh dance performance of "The Tale of Genji" sounds like you had quite a lot of adventures.
Your Upcoming Plans:
Musical Based on Manga/Anime: This sounds like you found the way to unwind once things settle down at work.
I have always been a admirer of Your ability to balance work with these Otaku experiences . It's always fulfilling that you can find joy in both personal interests and continue your professional life. If there’s anything specific about your trips or shows that you’d like to share more about, I’m all ears
Here are the pics I took.. What do you think?
I wasn't able to find anything named Day Quest, might you be referring to Higaeri Quest?
Since Hajime Kanzaka wrote Lost Universe I'll make an effort to obtain the novels.
I only consider Gokudo being similar to Slayers from the anime's based on both being fantasy, comedy. And I find the protagonists of both series are unlike most main characters, almost like anti-hero types. But based on what you said about Gaiden seems like its fairly different to the anime, though I'm unsure how much influence the author, and novels had on the anime.
Never got into Orphen the Sorcerer, but since there's a Slayers collaboration of the two maybe I'll find interest in Orphen.
By the way I really appreciate the conversations, since talking to you I never considered getting other written works besides The Slayers; Thank You.
I understand, climate change affects the whole world and what's worse, we're reaching a point of no return, unfortunately.
Ohh cool, Hong Kong is one of the cities I want to visit one day.
Traveling by train sounds good, do you like it?
