I love Yuu Watase so much!! The first short story, Mint de Kiss, I wish had a full mini series for. It was so adorable and the magical element to it was also fun! There were some cliches but it didn’t take away from how fond of the story I was. Second, the gensei kai (?) story was sort of terrifying. I think the contrast from the first and second short stories really show how Yuu Watase can write amazing stories across genres. Yes, there was some romance in it but overall it was scary. The last short story was

easily my least favorite. The idea was nice, a tomboy is never noticed by boys and finds love in the least likely of places. But she had to pretty much manipulate people for a second. Even if there were no ill intentions, it was still weird and I didn’t like it. I’m also going to point out that while Watase does include a few gay characters, I don’t love how they’re always the butt of the joke? I shouldn’t expect much since this was published... how many years ago? and, I’ll admit, the teacher coming out only made me chuckle because it was misono confessing. But when you think about it... it’s still a weird situation?? Dunno! It’s not horrible but it’s not the best! Otherwise, Watase never disappoints! I love her writing and art so much! I feel every emotion that she portrays. Love it, wish the stories were longer.
