Another story about humanity's survival. Shingeki no Kyojin and Owari no Seraph both share some parallels. Firstly, they are produced by the same animation studio (Wit Studio) and share the same soundtrack composer, Sawano Hiroyuki. In terms of story, in both worlds, humanity is at the brink of extinction and is endangered by another species (titans - vampires). The protagonist is also a young boy who joins a squad to fight that species and to take revenge for losing a family member. In both anime, the atmosphere is a dark and serious one and the animation style is quite similar. If you are a fan of Shingeki of Kyojin, you  read more

in both anime the main character wants to protect his dear friend: kaneki wants to protect hide (tokyo ghoul) and mika wants to protect yu (seraph) both anime focus on humans fighting some kind of 'monsters' (ghouls in tokyo ghoul and vampires in no seraph) however, in tokyo ghoul the story focuses more on the ghoul-pov and in seraph the focus lies more on that of humans in both anime one of the main characters appears nice and sweet at first but turns 'dark' later on due some traumatic experience

The Promised Neverland and Seraph of the End are both anime about children being raised as livestock for man-eating creatures. Both anime are adaptations of Shonen manga published in one of Shueisha's Jump magazines, The Promised Neverland is published in Weekly Shonen Jump, and Seraph of the End is published in Jump SQ. The Promised Neverland is more about mind games, while Seraph of the End is more action oriented.

"Sibling" relationship in where they are initially split apart due to horrible circumstances and meet in a bittersweet reunion. In both, the villains are the hennous vampires that seek to take over the world. Wanna kill them all mentality from protagonist. You get a better soundtrack w/Owari No Seraph though

There animes both give off a very similar feel. The main character is a boy living under some kind of oppression and bent ton seeking revenge for the death of his comrades/"family". He starts off extremely powerless and scared, and eventually his drive for revenge gives him power and the perseverance to get stronger. In both animes it starts off a little uncertain. Like, you don't really know what to expect from it and the plot can become good or bad depending on what happens. And then the sudden fighting/bloodshed that catches you by surprise hooks you and suddenly you're excited for a new  read more

Already few minutes into Owari no Seraph a gave me vibes similar to Code Geass. In both shows (Based on the first episode) - There are two guys who could be either best friends or biggest rivals. - One of them is kind of a rebel while the other is more of a nice guy. - The world / society they live in is in a difficult situation. Some kind of royal/ higher class issues going on. - Fighting against that society. If you liked Code Geass i think you may find something in Owari no Seraph as well.

Both animes are about persons fighting a system they're captured in. Both systems are inhumane and cruel. Also the males have a deep friendship. No. 6 is not shounen ai romance but still has a BL subplot. Owari doesn't have such so far and I guess it won't since it's shounen. Owari is of very high quality (animation, music, atmosphere, story) and can bring your tears out. No. 6 has a very good manga/novel but the anime (is a rather stumpy) can't compete with the manga/novel in the slightest. Although Owari isn't shoujo it can be watched even if you prefer shoujo over shounen.

Guilty Crown revolves around a male lead trying to save the world in which they live. Both shows take place in a Dystopian society except that Guilty Crown is a little more futuristic. In Guilty Crown, humanity suffers from a crystallized version of cancer where in Seraph, they fall to a virus that kills all adults. The MC in Guilty Crown is an innocent student dragged into the plot while in Seraph its basically the same thing, except he is an orphan. Both anime have the same composer as well (Hiroyuki Sawano) so the soundtracks sound very very similar.

There are several things these shows have in common, namely: 1. Both shows are about humans being under siege, in OnS it's by vampires, and in WT it's by "Neighbours". In OnS most of humanity has been wiped out, but in WT it's never really made clear if the damage only applies to that specific area in the world or if there are other places. 2. Both shows feature main "companies" that were created to defeat these enemies: OnS: Moon Demon Company - WT: Border 3. Both shows have similar enemies, that also are similar in power/strength: Weaker ones: OnS: 4 Horsemen of John - WT: Trion Soldiers Strong ones: OnS: Noble  read more

Both shows are about humanity being on the brink of extinction due to some superhuman monsters, and in this case the monsters bite humans into one of their kind. In Seraph of the End the monsters are vampires, and in Kabaneri, the monsters are zombies. Both are animated by Wit and music is done by Hiroyuki Sawano. Both are shows that have a similar setup to Attack on Titan. Both shows have a MC that are quite fed up with the situation that he makes it his mission to exterminate all of these monsters that threaten humanity.

Both animes are about wars, both of them have the fate of the humanity at stake, in both of them the main heroes are forced to obey to the HQ consisting entirely of sketchy swindlers whose objective is very different from what they declare publicly, and, finally, both animes touch upon the topic of mutual trust among the comrades for the sake of amplifying the squad's efficiency and increasing the chances to survive in a bloodshed.

Both animes explore the themes of destruction and monsters. The setting of both anime - modern day Tokyo and it being destroyed created this familiar face. Whilst Owari no Seraph has a pretty simple plot but still raises an enigmatic code, Zetsuen no Tempest has a more complicated plot because of certain plot twists. Both anime also featured two main male protagonists, who had different ideals and values and still manage to get along.

Similiarities: - Both have violence (if you're into that kind of thing) - Both are in a place where the world is literally ending - Both the heroines look sort of the same (to me) Differences: - Mirai Nikki is part romance while Owari no Seraph isn't, so I would not recommend it if you don't like that particular genre - Owari no Seraph have supernatural weapons unlike Mirai Nikki

Both series are much complex than they seem at first. They have other common points: both use many Judeo-Christian references, they both place in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity is close to extinction under the threat of powerful enemies that seem unbeatable and many more. Even if they differ, Evangelion being more serious, slower and putting different reflections under the spotlight and Owari no Seraph being more of a normal shonen anime, with more comedy (good one) and action.

Both the shows revolve around a relationship between a weapon and the user of the weapon. I take similar themes such as human hunting various supernatural creatures for many reasons such as revenge, gaining strength and etc. Personally I feel both the shows have similar stories but with the use of different genres.

They both have a slightly BL relationship between the two main characters with similar dynamics in terms of moral tension. The characters were friends from when they were young and parent-less. There are some shared themes of existentialism, Biblical references (angels, demons, apocalypse), war between different species (humans and demons/vampires), & characters with dubious intentions.Seraph of the End is a more light-hearted and typical Shounen, while Devilman is very dark and psychologically disturbing.

Both have a hotheaded main character hellbent on doing justice, bot also feature a number of interesting different side characters as well, both feature Demons and soul possesed weapons owari no seraph is however grittier and darker overall.

Both series involves making contracts with ephemeral beings that possess/come sealed into small objects that turn into gigantic weapons. Story wise, there's nothing similar about them. But "Friendship and Teamwork" is a big focus on both. There is no extermination in shaman king, but it involves fighting similarly powered enemies just like in Owari no Seraph.

Ive noticed there is blurred line between fantasy and modern world in universes of both shows. There is war between humans and vampires. Gate is more character interaction focused OnS is more battle focused. Rather different animes from the bunch.
report Recommended by Kareblis
Humans vs. Vampires, but Owari no Seraph is much better for multiple reasons - characters are well developed, faster pacing, and there's actually equal tension on both sides of said battle. Shiki lacks many of these things. Shiki's plot is murky in comparison, and it's watching a 'losing battle' on a rural countryside hill. Despite that, people who liked Shiki will probably also enjoy Owari No Seraph for similar themes.

Both MCs are willingly pledging their life to demon in order to achieve a goal. While Owari no Seraph characters are aiming for a pure, good-guyish intention, Chainsaw Man's are expecting simple, self-centered goals they're almost relatable. Both are filled with eye-pleasing visuals, though in quite different way.

-Young characters fighting in the war vs supernatural species - Lot of emotions among heroes anger, sadness, hopelessness - They are part of military structure and their commanders are being harsh. - Lot of back stage plot that changes the story

- Gay vibes despite the how trying to say it's straight - Hero's former best-friend becomes a villain who is only doing what he's doing to save his friend (owari no seraph) or the world (hamatora) -Character who had numerous experiments done on them by humans (the "good guys") is used as a trump card in final stages these two shows just made me think of each other. Both are a little bizarre and try to be more than they are. They are both entertaining enough and I liked them, so if you like one you should at least try the other

Both shows use outlandish contrivances that evoke strong emotion. While I find their ridiculous inventions equally bizarre, the frequency differs. So does the emotion I get. With Index II, almost the entire show had me falling off my chair laughing. Owari no Seraph occasionally frustrated me, inciting me to shout things like "who came up with that!?!?!!" Still, I think people who enjoy all the crazy, random, stupid crap the anime industry comes up with will like both series.

Plot and general tone of the two shows are very different, but the protagonists (Chise and Yuichiro) are the same in terms of their psychological background. Both had a parent or parents try to kill them due to an abnormality within them which is out of their control, only for said parent(s) to die soon after, leaving them orphans and a view that they are unlovable and unwanted. This caused a pessimistic view of human relationships as a coping mechanism to deal with the longing for acceptance and love they believe they do not deserve to get. (well kazami yuuji has a good start, because it was shown in the beginning that he is a elite ex-hitman before.) - Both antagonist is super strong (I'm basically saying in owari no seraph, progenitors are deemed to be a strong foe that can't be beaten alone no matter what you do. while grisaia's strong antagonist are only the leader and the fake kazami.

Post-apocalyptic anime series where humanity is trying to rebuild itself and is fighting against evil creatures. An organization (Symphonica in Takt Op. Destiny and Japanese Imperial Demon Army in Owari no Seraph) was formed to fight against these creatures. Despite their missions to save humanity, deception and betrayal are found in both organizations that threatens its heroes. Supporting characters and antagonists in Owari no Seraph are better developed than Takt Op. Destiny.

Children making tough decisions in an apocalyptic scenario? Death everywhere? Potentially-backstabbing adults? There are few anime series to turn to when sick of high school-aged or even young adult main characters, and that's exactly why both of these series are gems. Will the children fight for freedom or accept the life they've been dealt? Bokurano is an amazing series that you should definitely look into if you are enjoying Owari no Seraph.

Shuumatsu no Izetta and Owari no Seraph are interesting shows about two sides battling against each other.
