Both are set in a world with fantastic creatures, with a system of level up and different abilities. Similar art (both good) and a likeable main character, with promising side characters. Both also show several times there is no limit to anybody's power, making the level up journey even more enjoyable. If solo leveling is a 10, i'd say Omniscient Reader is a solid 8 or 8.5

Honestly Tomb Raider King is basically a Solo Leveling rip-off, the same premise just with Tombs instead of Dungeons. Other than that, you have the same-looking protagonist that gets a very similar gaming interface irl, proceeds to get extremely overpowered and gets dragged into grand-scale conflict.

If you ignore the comedy/parody part .. then there is hardly any difference between OPM and Solo Levelling.. starting from the Unknown or not yet revealed reason/logic behind the strength of the Overpowered Main character, the concept of growing from weak to insanely strong , the main character ranked very low despite having the strength to outclass the proud fighters in the higher ranks, everyone looking down on the MC because of his low rank, MC gradually climbing up in rankings while shocking and surprising everyone, the random apprearence of monsters in cities and special humans with abilities to fight them organised in a ranking  read more

Full colored webtoons that got later published as physical comics too, the plot is about the characters that are introduced as weak but quickly become ridiculously overpowered and capable streamlining through the swarm of antagonists usually without much effort.

Both takes place in a "Hunter" world where hunters are people with special abilities who try to clear dungeons by defeating monsters in them, like an RPG-like system come to life. Particularly both series are a power fantasy about an underdog protagonist who must prove themselves against society; particularly both feature very corrupt "hunters" often as antagonists

Not similiar system but recommended, the mc is zero to hero with good story and art style.
reportRecommended by Tatarahs
Both MC's servants have absolute loyalty to their liege. And they do their orders without question asked. Also both are made based on a game like system.

Both has Overpowered main character. Both is necromancer. Similar concept of leveling up.

Both "I'm the Max-Level Newbie" and "Solo Leveling" are made by the same studio and feature similar plotlines, characters and art. The common theme is protagonists navigating game-like worlds where character growth and empowerment are central. Both stories feature solo adventures, intense monster battles, and RPG elements.
reportRecommended by Remtid
The protagonist joins a Hunter Association to become a Hunter and fights off threats to regular humans. Both of the protagonists are described to have outstanding potential. One arc of both of these titles also deals with extremely dangerous evolving ants.

Zero to hero, good read, great art

Both mangas/manhwas have a game based system, in overlord, the protagonist is transported to a game while Solo Leveling has a game system in real life. Overlord's main character is an ''undead god'' which makes him summon undead, something similar to the Solo Leveling MC's shadow ability even though Overlord uses more other more OP skills than Solo Leveling. Although Overlord has quite a calm storyline with not so many fights, when the time comes, it can be considered good but lacks excitement compared to Solo Leveling.

SL is basically the superior version to this manhwa.

1) Both main character are "the lowest being" in the world at the start of the story. 2) Both stories involve game-like features. 3) Both main character become the strongest in the world. 4) Both stories develop in modern world (but isekai de cheat is located in both modern and fantasy world).

Similarities are through the roof between Solo Leveling and Berserk of Gluttony. Similarities - Both MC are tossed aside and considered trash - Both MC encounter a life-threatening transformation - Both MC have a graphic user interface to measure their statistics - Both MC hide their powers (MC in B.o.G tries to hide it, MC in S.L tries to but eventually gets info leaked @ chapter 90-110) Differences - MC in B.o.G lives in the age of swords and bows vs MC in S.L who lives in modern day South Korea - MC in B.o.G has the ability to absorb all stats from killed enemies whereas MC in  read more

From borderline powerless individuals to some of the greatest of all. Both MHA and SL follow two individuals who start from zero slowly progressing through the ranks of the ultimate power passed down to them. With MHA doing this with Deku and his newly found quirk "One for All". SL doing this with Sung Jin-woo, the weakest hunter, gaining a new power from this "system". Both are great reads full of great action whenever possible. No letdowns at any point in that matter.

If you enjoyed Second Life Ranker, I would definitely recommend Solo Leveling. As mentioned earlier, Solo Leveling shares similarities with Second Life Ranker in terms of their themes and focus on action. The story follows Sung Jin-woo, a weak hunter who is suddenly granted immense power, and his journey to become the strongest in the world. The art in Solo Leveling is absolutely stunning, with beautifully drawn characters and backgrounds. The action scenes are particularly well-done, with dynamic paneling and choreography that make them a joy to read. Additionally, the story is well-written and engaging, with a great balance of action, drama, and mystery. Overall, Solo Leveling  read more

Both manhuas mainly focus on a weak MC who then receives some sort of very high level technology and gets really buffed. Both the MC are pretty weak in the beginning but end up as the strongest

Dungeon Odyssey is just Solo Leveling Clash of Clans. They both gain one-of-a-kind video game-like abilities and strengthen their army in an Earth world of dungeons and people "born" with superhuman abilities.

Both of the main characters have access to a menu screen which can be used to see their inventory, statistics, etc. They both eventually become overpowered after levelling up.

Please read this one before the anime is released. I feel the webtoon was much better. But I will boldly say this. This is the greatest work of all time.

Has kind of the same building, but the difference is characters and storyline. It's one of those stories where the fantasy is the same, but also a little different.

okay imagine solo leveling but its about 80s-90s economics and political scheming in preparation for the gates to happen theres still cool action in it, its just More of the scheming and political parts of solo leveling

1. An excellent artwork: "Solo Leveling" and "Dusk Howler" are full colored webtoons with good art style. 2. RPG elements: in "Dusk Howler", the protagonist plays a fantasy virtual game, while "Solo Leveling" has a game system in real life. 3. A typical shounen plot: MC starts out as weak and gradually gets stronger. 4. A source novel: the "Solo Leveling" webtoon (2018) is based on a 2016 web novel, while the "Dusk Howler" webtoon (2014) is based on a 2009 print novel based on a 2008 unofficial online game based on a 2007 unpublished light novel.

Both "Solo Leveling" and "Ranker's Guide to Live an Ordinary Life" are very similar manhwas that share a lot common, including: -both stories take place in modern Korea where supernatural "gates" spontaneously appear and from which monsters come forth -there are people who fight these monsters known as "hunters" -these hunters are ranked S, A, B, C, D, E, F. -our main character in both is an initially unassuming who is awakened as a S/top ranked hunter -said main character often tries to hide the fact that they're overpowered -similar art style and action sequences in both manhwas -both protagonist have younger sibling(s) they look to protect A main difference is  read more

lookism is the far superior manhwa for story telling. much more grounded, diverse and better cast of characters. not to mention insanely hilarious. solo leveling has better art but after the first 100 or so chaps becomes a chore to read

Two fantasy manga with a main character who often goes into dungeons to fight different monsters. Others are frequently stunned by his skills. In the beginning, the MC is thought of as weak and useless, though that changes as the story progresses. *Art's good.

Just like many other Manhwa, it falls under the weak to strong category, although, the MC in The Archmage Returns After 4000 Years could be argued as either the weakest or the strongest right off the bat depending on how you look at it. Both also contain Magic, over-ruling higher powers such as gods etc.

1) Both mangas (manwha, to Solo Leveling) are set in a modern world with super-human abilities. 2) Both main characters were "useless" for a long time. 3) In both stories the government agencies have an importante and constant role 4) Both main character have "the strongest" abilities in all the world

Both stories touch dark themes and have stoic main characters who, over time, can overwhelm each of the enemies that appear through the way of the story. Also they make acquaintance with important people of the world because of their own strength.

1) Both world stories have a game-like system to organize skills. 2) Both main character (the black cat, in the case of Tenken) begins as the weakest being in the world. 3) Both main character grow until they become the strongest. 4) Both main character are constantly in death situation but never surrender. Almost everytime they end up severly injured.

Stories about overcoming and bravery that make you want to live and become better and better in your lives. Events which you question your own existence in the midst of serious and conflicting situations. Arts that take your breath away and are unique. Epic forms and postures. Action scenes that are more like outcasts of old classic books. And of course, both have redefined the genre "Isekai" in a brilliant and unique way. Current works that are masterpieces!
reportRecommended by DMXIII
Both stories are about two High School student that get a game-like feature power which let them progress very fast in comparison with other characters of their worlds, making them really overpowered. Also both main character have a calm attitude when they are facing strong enemies.
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
In both mangas (manwha, for Solo Leveling) the main character started as a shy and weak person who had been protected by someone close to them, but as the story progress they basically transform into a complete badass character. Also in both world are a game-like feature system.
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
Both series focus on MCs who were dragged into game-like systems that confront them with various monsters. As they grow mentally and physically stronger their quests becomes tougher. Epic fights are included. Gantz is more gory, ruthless and complex.
reportRecommended by anime_hunter420
Average Korean man fights horrors and somehow survives, and is now the most powerful person in existence. Honestly, though my enjoyment of Solo Levelling decreased as the series went on, the earlier portion reminded me a lot of Latna Saga. These stories are very different, but if you enjoy a fantasy battle weak-to-strong story, you should enjoy both.
reportRecommended by kirakiradeths
If you love mindless hype then you'll enjoy both of these series. They have similar artstyles (at least after Bleach's art changes) with beautiful characters and empty, action focused panels. Ichigo and Jin-woo also have similar backgrounds with (a) younger sister(s) and a sick/dead mother. The series are similarly flawed, so if you enjoyed one series you'll likely enjoy the other.

In Re:Monster a normal guy dies and gets transported to another world, starts as a weak goblin. Over time gains levels, new abilities from the monsters he kills and changes class. Solo Leveling a normal guy nearly dies, after that starts a new life with new abilities like leveling and absorbing skills from others. Would recommend both.

A world, were the protagonist has to learn how to fight in order to survive. As they gain experience they became much more stronger surpassing their friends. If you liked, the adventure part of SAO you will certainly like solo leveling. The main difference is in the focus of the plot. In SAO, the focus is more on the romantic relationships that are formed along the chapters, in solo leveling follows the conquers of the dungeons and the streight development of the character.

Loser and outsider protagonist turns out to have acquired an overpowered ability, and as he gets stronger and stronger he is revealed to be the chosen one for some purpose. Great action scenes if you don't mind the more generic shounen plotline.

RPG plot, where you follow a character that will conquers dungeons, train and level up along their journey. In both situations, we have an characters capable of absorbing new techniques from the enemies that they face.

starts off with the MC stuck with a game interface. MC decides to level up and become stronger and quickly becomes op. The thing is neither of these stories cease to be boring because the MC is op, in fact they just get more and more interesting. One of the reasons is that the MC of each of them have a fleshed out character and actually develop as they get stronger. Also both of them have hype af fights

Han Soo Kang is an overpowered hero who is an antagonist (but a hero remember) -FFF clas trash hero and Sung Jin Woo is an overpowered hero who is the protagonist in Solo leveling and remember both of them are the main characters.

Just Like in Arifureta, both the MCs are weak in the start, and rise explosively in power. If you are someone who just likes to see one sided fights or OP MCs. You are definitely going to like these. Also in both the stories there is involvement of game like Interface Both the MCs have kind of a kill or be killed policy as well The only difference is that Arifureta is kind of a little Harem while Solo Leveling isn't. Hope this helps ;)

This manga is just Japanese returner/hunter/time leaper where mc gets stronger by grinding video game stats in the modern world where monsters from another world invade it. MC even "solo levels" in the first few and in some other chapters.

Honestly, they are shockingly similar! They both involve relatively weak raiders gaining powers that enable them to change their path. They are manipulated by the system that allows them to get stronger. In mythic item his goal is to be stronger and get revenge. In Solo leveling up we are not sure of the reason for his new system until it is revealed much later.

Both have a lot of fighting and action that include weaponry and sorcery. The difference is that "The New Gate" is about a powerful male lead thrown in a world that is assumed to be a different world. While "solo leveling" is about a male lead growing from being in a weak state in modern Japan that is being invaded by gates full of monsters behind them. In both cases, the mc utilizing features only accessible to him such as game-like menu.

Both series have little plot, but they are supremely hype. They have some phenomenal action, moments, and art which make for two very enjoyable reads.

Both have a game type settings, where one needs to survive, but in a modern world where you can be overrun with monsters. In both manga the mc strive to become stronger than he was before and one of their key feature is that their journey is carried out as stealthy as possible.

Both Works are about a person who starts from nothing and gradually gets stronger through training and experience. We get to see every single step of it and see their accomplishments owing to the fact that nothing gets skipped. Both works are very action-packed and will hook you from the get-go. Kingdom is a tactical military historical fiction while solo leveling is fantasy fiction with some political flair to it.
