Both anime explores the struggles of single dads and the father-daughter relationship. Both of the fathers have a complication that makes this struggle harder - be it occupation as an author of pervy manga or not being the biological father. The daughters very adorable in both of the series.

Both series are made by Kouji Kumeta, so the comedy is very similar. The main characters are also voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya, which make them give off similar vibes.

Kakushigoto is a comedy about a single father who is very awkward that raising his only child. While, there are many differences, I highly recommend both series.

Both works revolve around unusual but meaningful father-daughter relationships. Also, even though there're plenty of funny and heart-warming moments that you, the two stories have a somewhat bittersweet flavour to them.

What happens when the father of a pure daughter makes dirty mangas for a living? Well, Kakushigoto and Midara na Ao-chan are both into the same business that the father is a famous ecchi mangaka, however, in Kakushigoto, the mangaka dad hides to his daughter his actual job, while in Midara, the father openly says that he draws ecchi manga. The daughters are pure, but different, Hime is 10-11 years old in most of the story, and she's oblivious to what his father does for living, Ao is completely aware of her dad and his colourful mangas, due to her age (18), she's already psychoed by  read more

Father-daughter relationship. Hinamatsuri and Kakushigoto both follow a relationship between a father figure and a daughter. Although, Kakushigoto has a real blood relationship. Whereas Hinamatsuri isn't since Hina isn't related to Nitta. Both anime are good comedies, with Kakushigoto being about making light out of a suspicious secret. Hinamatsuri being about a yakuza and an esper in their daily silliness life has given them.

Both anime are fun to watch especially when you are a fan of reading manga and watching anime Shirobako tackles the story about making an anime with a named anime studio that makes crappy anime's Kakushigoto tackles about making a dirty manga

Both main character are widowers who have one daughter and have problems with their work. The supporting characters in this series are the people around them who always help and support them. Both main character look similar in character design with black hair.

Both revolve around the theme of family and are wholesome, funny, with a tinge of bittersweetness.

Both Fruits Basket and Kakushigoto are chilled, feel-good slice of life anime that have a more emotional underlying story/plot which develops gradually, drawing you in and leaving you wanting to see more. There is a good amount of comedy in both, which keeps the shows balanced and prevents the more dramatic aspects from making the episodes too serious/heavy. Both series do a really good job in investing you in the main plot and I feel that I can relate and, therefore connect, really well with the characters in both as well.

Both are shows wherein generally cordial, family-loving men have to hide their true roles/jobs from a particular person while cracking jokes funny enough to make you fart even if you have constipation. Of course, Kakushi Gotou has to hide his illustration work from his daughter, Hime, while Satan has to hide the fact that he is Lucifer in the flesh from Chiho, a girl at his workplace. Both protagonists, Satan and Kakushi, are stuck between the painstaking difficulties of their day jobs as well as going through the effort of not revealing their true selves to whoever they don't want finding out about it. Kakushigoto and Fruits Basket are both slice of life genres. To be honest, the story plots are fully different. But the story plot of Kakushigoto will make you cry as much as you cried after watching Fruits Basket.I wanna say Kakushigoto is an under rated GEM among the SOL genres. The animation and the storyline are well synced and worthwhile to view!

Both are anime that are mostly funny, but can and will probably hit your feels out of the blue. Though the situations are vastly different the vibes feels pretty much the same. Also both made me cry like a kid.

Both contain the relationship of a father (figure) to his daughter (figure). Cute, wholesome, funny, with sweet familial moments that are too cute to boot. Along with perky, equally wholesome side characters that you can easily find just a charming. They are both a good watch (Uchi no Ko no Tame naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai being the better one in my opinion) that have the perfect, adorable relations between a father/daughter that will surely make your heart melt.

There are a lot of short funny sketches placed in a big unified plot. There are also two story lines in each anime connected to each other (loli doctor and robotthree school friends and their class for Nichijou and KakushiHime for Kakushigoto). In Kakushigoto they are more connected and closer, but I consider them two separate (in meaning independent and whole) story lines. Except in Kakushigoto different points of view help to understand characters, while Nichijou's story lines rarely unite.

Both are very touching; Both have great animation. Both make an extraordinary job in storytelling meanings

I can't really put my finger on it you know. Kakushigoto feels really shafty maybe because of kamiya hiroshi who reminds me of araragi and the comedic style zetsubou sensei. Combined the two of those and adding more comedy and heartwarming moments it builds up to be a really odd (yet very good) story. Denpa Onna give the same vibes I guess. Both of the anime make you feel like your searching or missing something that you don't really don't know with a comedic twist. A certain melancholy vibe both give, making you feel that you need to apriciate things more in your life. Yeah  read more

Both are about a father trying to shelter his daughter from a painful truth. Equally cathartic and heart-warming.

Both have the warmly nostalgic setting of a seaside town during the summertime, as well as a generally comfy feel. They deal with relationships - parental love in Kakushigoto and romantic love in E'tranger.

Secrets. Everyone has these. Even parents do too. Those secrets are kept hidden from the world. Stories Kakushigoto and Wolf Children are in the same boat. Kakushigoto's questionable mangaka Goto hides his profession from his daughter Hime due to it being able to make him look bad. Wolf Children's Hana is raising literal wolf children she needs to keep their secrets from the world. Both are good interesting anime about raising children, with Kakushigoto being a funny comedy about manga and parenthood. Wolf Children is a somewhat dramatic s.o.l

The struggles of being a parent. Clannad After Story and Kakushigoto both follow parents experiencing the importance, along with struggles of being a parent. Mangaka Gotou and a deteriorating Tomoya both witnessed first hand how hard it is to raise children as well as keeping their own lives stable. Whether it be lying to protect or a broken past affecting the future, both stories show these characters trying to better themselves and their children. Both are great s.o.l anime about parenthood featuring comedy, with Clannad AS being more dramatic than Kakushigoto.

These are two great animes that share elements of loss and grief. The complications of both stories involve forgetting something vital that is needed in order for a character to achieve happiness. They are similar in terms of themes and story development. Watching it makes you feel warm and nice inside but your heart will probably be wrenched out by the end of it.

- Both single parents and the struggles/triumphs of parenthood - Both have comedic elements as the main characters struggle to manage their parenthood with their outside lives

Being a parent. It is hard to parent for a child, stories Kakushigoto and Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms present these all the well. With protagonists who are questionable to the normal standards of life, they are also faced with the weight of raising a child in the stress they are already in. Kakushigoto's Goto is a mangaka with very questionable manga he makes, Promised Flower's Iorph Maquia is being hunted down for her blood. Both are good anime with Kakushigoto being for the comedic tastes, whilst Promised Flower is for the more dramatic tastes
