Both works revolve around unusual but meaningful father-daughter relationships. Also, even though there're plenty of funny and heart-warming moments that you, the two stories have a somewhat bittersweet flavour to them.
Both are shows in the semi specific "single father raises child and bonds with them" genre. More than that, both are very cute and heartwarming in the main story but have hints that tragedy lurks around the corner.
Heartwarming yet painful series that focuses on the premise of a paternal bond between a father and his daughter, the daughter who yearns to learn the world while her father has something to hide that is a bitter truth. If you are curious about it, then go ahead and discover it for yourself.
On the other hand, the ambiance between the two differs as "SomaliMori" focuses more on drama, world-building, and fantasy aspects, whereas "Kakushigoto" is a standard slice of life anime consisting of both drama and comedy. Nevertheless, both are fun and interesting to watch as they primarily present the same concept.
