The struggles of being a parent. Clannad After Story and Kakushigoto both follow parents experiencing the importance, along with struggles of being a parent.
Mangaka Gotou and a deteriorating Tomoya both witnessed first hand how hard it is to raise children as well as keeping their own lives stable. Whether it be lying to protect or a broken past affecting the future, both stories show these characters trying to better themselves and their children.
Both are great s.o.l anime about parenthood featuring comedy, with Clannad AS being more dramatic than Kakushigoto.
