Both share the same atmosphere. Both are extremely fun to watch with both having very lovable characters.
Both are comedic and light-hearted though Kakushigoto reveals more underlying themes/secrets throughout the anime while Barakamon inches to the end of the plot.
Barakamon's MC is a calligrapher while Kakushigoto's MC is an erotic mangaka.
Both are nurturing a child, in Barakamon, the child borders on being mischievous and is overly playful whereas in Kakushigoto, the child is the biological daughter of the MC, is reliable, and obedient.
Similar themes, light-hearted but yet some super serious moments that hit you in the heart.
- Both have an older guy raising and caring about a young girl
- The guy is some kind of artist in both
- Similar fast-paced type of humor
- Both have dramatic and tearjerking moments

Both anime have a nice art style, a slow-peaced plot and absolutely nothing out of
