Seto no Hanayome

in both animes, both are forced to be couples, both have someone that doesnt agree to this relationship, and both have harem. It's like they made a new version.

They are very similar in a lot of aspects. A high-school pair engaged against their will that develops feeling to each other as the time goes and with constant additions (transfers) of new girls who fall in love with protagonist. And a child-hood friend with ties in the police... And a monkey friend. And Yakuza with Mafia. I would go as far as calling it a clone.
Seto is more oriented on comedy, while Nisekoi's center is romance, but in an essence - they are the one and the same.

Nisekoi and Seto no Hanayome [My Bride is a Mermaid] are pretty similar: forcing their main male protagonists to date/marry a girl whom they just recently met, being involved in the mafia/yakuza, and having your stereotypical harem. 
Both animes are very entertaining and hilarious. Whichever one you watch, I recommend that you watch the other.

both anime have similar gag, school life and often use to cite other anime or film, the main characters are always in absurd situations and most of the characters are crazy! if you enjoy school rumble, seto no hanayome is a good alternative

Mermaids and squid both come from the sea. This is MAL and that's enough to justify linking the two. Yes.

It's also worth noting that both series consist almost entirely of gagtastic slapstick comedy. Mermaid Bride has romance and haremish humour powering a hefty chunk of its jokes, where as Squid Girl has its titular heroine and is devoid of love-love... aside from a lesbian stalker. But those minor differences aside, these two are aimed at 100% the same crowd.

Fast-paced gag comedy featuring anthropomorphic girl living in human society. Ika musume traverse the shoreline trying to conquer humanity. Seto San somehow end up being a bride-to-be, not to mention that her house is a badass yakuza mermaid family.

Both shows have a good amount of comedy and are fun to watch.  Plus each female lead comes from the ocean; with San Seto being a mermaid and Ika-Musume being a squid.

Another great masterpiece. Both the female protagonists came from the ocean. Both are funny and enjoyable.

Both contain very similar humor and settings. The stories are quite different in subject matter, but the mood is nearly identical. Seto no Hanayome is much more absurd and over the top in it's approach. Shinryaku! is much more grounded but still has many goofy moments.

Both series contain the fun entertainment that is met to amuse the viewers rather than a typical approach.

Both the main girl in the two series have aquatic features and are known to be quite energetic. 

Overall, watch these two series if you want some great comedy with some drama.

When i watch Arakawa it totally reminds me of Seto no Hanayome, it gives me the same feeling. It has the same humor and both Anime have to do with Water and a Boy whos together with the Girl through an accident where the Girl saved the Boy. The only difference is that the Boy in Seto no Hanayome must marry the Girl and in Arakawa he shall just be her Boyfriend.

Both series employ a similar type of humor that is a mix of parody and over-exaggeration of character personalities. This goes in line with the fact that Both series employ a very dynamic and well-defined set of characters. Seto no Hanayome has a slight focus on harem jokes and romantic comedy parody. Binbougami is more focused on the struggling personality of the main character. Fans of the comedy style presented in Seto no Hanayome will definitely enjoy Binbougami and vice versa.

Both animes share the same premise, a boy, not especially popular, suddenly finds himself surrounded by girls interested in him. A lot of the visual gags usually arising from misunderstandings, which result in the boy getting beaten up and called a pervert, are also present in both series.

Although the setting and premise are different both have non-human beings living amongst the regular humans allowing for some funny and clever situations!

Both series use absurd and random jokes and humor.
There is very few things that are shown seriously (well In Nichijou there are none I suppose).
Difference: more parodies based on TV or mass-media in Seto, but in both case it simply works.

I couldn't help but remember Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu when I started watching Seto no Hanayome. Both are high-school romance comedy in which everything is allowed to go crazy. Both anime are fun, random, and hilarious.

Actually both shows have somehow with water, see, ocean... an mermaids!.
Plots might be far away from each other but their still both comedy and a little bit of romance stories. Oh, and both have lots of nudity for those who like ecchi.
even the drawing style (specially the eyes) look alot alike.

Both anime have a human protagonist that stumbles upon the secret world of monsters and mythical beings. Both protagonists are bound to a female companion through a close encounter and is constantly pursued by other girls his age. Both anime revolve around school life and trying to keep a secret, R + V that Tsukune is a human and in SnH that Sun is a mermaid. 

Where they are different is if you take away the ecchi of R + V and replace it with the parody that SnH has. R + V has a more serious plot, while SnH is more simple.

Both are really funny, SnH more that R + V, but you should enjoy both! read more

Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi addpermalink

Although the two series do not have the same theme, the type of humour are very very similar (nearly identical). On top of that, the facial expressions Kenichi makes are very reminiscent of Nagasumi's. Also, Seto San does have many common point with Miu, as both have very strange mood swings and personalities. Kenichi's masters are very similar to the Seto family too.

In both series, a boy gets stuck to a girl (with special abilities).
The biggest difference is the way these boys react on the girl, even though their feelings are somewhat similar.
Both series are comedy romances (with a little drama) and I truly enjoyed both of them.

Both series are absurd comedies dealing with the supernatural in particular the theme of mermaids. While  Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san seems to lack romance, both series has tons of humorous moments that are often presented by the characters.

The main male protagonist also meets the main female protagonist in an absurd way and they have an absurd relationship. If you're looking for a fun series for some great laughs, check out these two titles.

Both series have the protag trying to keep a secret for the main heroine or else something bad will happen. Also as time goes on both protags have to keep more peoples secrets as the series progresses.
Jitsu wa Watashi wa has vampires and aliens,while Seto no Hanayome has mermaids.
Overall both are really good series, and I think you will enjoy both.

The main characters for both shows are very similar. They get in really "awkward" situations and pretty much every girl has a crush on them. Both shows are very funny. He is My Master contains more ecchi than Seto no Hanayome, but aside from that they're pretty similar in harem comedic fun.

Similar art styles and humour in both shows, both shows have a blossoming romance between an 'ordinary' guy and an extraordinary girl, both shows also rely on inflicting pain on the male lead as a vehicle for humour.

Dokuro-Chan by and large is more graphically violent and a lot more sexually explicit then Seto no Hanayome..

Think of Magikano as SnH, only watered down with a lot of echi.  Or the other way around: SnH is a distiled  Magikano with ten times the laughter and a much better ending.
