Seto no Hanayome

The same story about a boy, who accidently met up with a girl through some weird process except in "Ah! My Goddess, the person got a girl through a phone call.
The main guy in both series is "forced" to stay with a girl. These girls aren't exactly human, either. A mermaid in Seto no Hanayome, and a goddess in Ah! My Goddess. And both of these girls have a "rival": Lunar, and Sayoko. The girls are really powerful too. They are good at cooking, and singing. In both cases, both Sun and Belldandy tends to beat their rivals in competitions.
A guy accidentally forces a girl to have to live with him, and then, of course, funny stuff has to happen.
Seto no Hanayome is just Ah! with water. The girls also have tails instead of wings. If you want more Ah! or SnH, then look no further.

Both shows involve the average MC getting involved with a supernatural being, and being (more or less romantically) bound to them. The stories then follow their everyday lives together
