I appreciate your 5 Centimetres per Second review but I don't think you really get it. :/

Would we've been talking right now if the ending was somewhat conclusive?Probably not.
Only thing we discuss about 5 centimeter per second is how depressing and unsatisfying the ending and i'm no different than others,i think shinkai intentionally put that in the end to make it controversial.(More of a market tactics)
TBH it's one of my favourite film but i still agree with your review :) it got plot holes,no character development,unsatisfying ending but still it's upto different person how they takes it :)

I think the point of 5 Centimeters Per Second was that it didn't have any proper closure and about how the two leads were falling away from each other, and about how he had to accept that it was 'never meant to be'--a phrase I really hate, but there's really no other way to put it. Clinging onto her proved to be an obstacle in that he had a chance to be perfectly happy with another great girl. But he gives up on the prospect of being in a relationship with her because he already has someone else that he may or may not end up being with. In saying that, I don't even like the movie very much to begin with and found the romance kinda shoddy and shallow (in addition to the main leads as well), but it was that particular point you made I couldn't agree with. If nothing else, I feel 5cm p/s nailed the bittersweetness, or just plain bitterness it presented.

I completely agree with your review of 5 Centimeters per Second. It did have some good things, but the ending was nothing.

I loved you 5 cm per second review, also I love that you like sayonara zetsubou sensei, which is one of my favorite animes of all time

You describled 5 centimeters perfectly. I was expecting a incredible love story, cause of the score here and the recomendations, but... Awful. I can't imagine why there are people who gives 10 for this stoped and without ending story.
