Each is very silly. While Nyaruko focuses more on satirizing other works of art, Seto no Hanayome focuses more on situational comedy.
In each case, the characters find themselves in patently absurd situations where they have to take themselves entirely seriously.
Both series are Rom-coms where most of the possible love interests are not human. In one it's Cuthulu monsters, the other is Mermaids. In both, they cast keeps growing, adding more characters with their wacky traits and personalities.
They both use what I call "compounding humor" which means the minuscule details that occur earlier will either be brought up or foreshadow an event that will happen in a few minutes or episodes.
Also, the main guy is more forced to be in the situation that he is and often makes note that it is not preferable.
