I suppose its appropriate to say a bit about myself, an in particular my anime history (since its why we're all here...)
I watched my first (non-Pokemon) anime in university, Princess Mononoke, I remember really enjoying it but never explored the genre at that time.
After I graduated I found the film on sale, bought it and decided to explore the genre more - first by watching other Ghibli films (Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, Nauiscaa) and later by being introduced to other anime by my cousin (Ninja Scroll, Akira, Bleach).
I've since got into anime in a big way, I find sites like these are a huge help in getting good recommendations and chatting with other fans.

For a show that keeeps resetting itself everytime, her character is done pretty well.
Higurashi is Veeeerrrrryyyyyy creepy and scary. But it's just like Edgar Allan Poe's novels, you just can't stop watching or listening to the opening. :D
I'm I forced to watch all of the Higurashi series if I want to get everything?
