Both are adaptations of action manga from the same creator, Atsushi Ohkubo. Both have outstanding animation on a consistent level. Both have incredibly imaginative settings, top tier character designs and great art direction.

"I wanna be a hero!" - wash, rinse and repeat. Battles and boys in Tokyo city. Action-fueled anime enhanced with colorful scenery and designs, they have all the typical shounen themes and tropes: * Outcast but motivated, overpowered protagonist * Friends, rivals and inspirational older figures * Superhuman abilities and the training to control them * Villainous shadowy group * Regular forces and agencies (police, firefighters) working alongside the heroes * Dark/tragic backstories * Childish humour * Females mostly for the purpose of moe/fanservice * Characters with unusual teeth, eyes or other body parts Both series even include plague doctor masks and inventors/mechanics among their supporting cast. Both are PG-13, albeit MHA is usually more cheery while  read more

Both lost important people, blamed him for being different. They hate being seen as a demon, but they seek the truth and protect people. Two series about a group that fights against supernatural beings with their own origins. In short, a good mix of constant action, comedy and ships.

Both shows are high intensity battle/action Shonen anime. Both begin with tragedies to our main character's family. Both shows have demons and demonic/evil themes and characters.

Both shows follow organisations that upkeep public safety from a unknown threat (Scouts & Titans + Fire Force & Infernals respectively). Both main characters also have tragic back stories of loss of family members to this unknown threat which motivates them to join these organisations which are essentially on the front lines combating the issue. They both also have great OST's and art styles.

TL;DR: Exact same premise - self-combusting humans vs. the fire fighters in charge of taking them out. Atsushi Ohkubo also made a statement about Trigger ripping off Fire Force so i mean!

Well, it looked similar to me in the sense that there are squads in both the anime which involve family-like relationships and also mc's squad is not well-reputed.

Both shows explore how religion fundamentally controls people and how this leads to the halting of progress within society. The correlation being that 'knowledge is power', and without scientific advancement this leads to systemic brainwashing via religion. If you are an atheist or think religious themes in anime are interesting to dissect feel free to compare the two.

Both include brothers fighting in fantasy world using different powers and weapons. Brothers are seperated one for "good" guys and one for "bad" guys and in both series there is seek for reunition and they don't know much about the surrounding world and what mysteries they are fighting against. In owari no seraph they are brothers only formally.

Young soldiers in a collective exorcising possessed people, and the mysterious villainous freaks against them. Fire Force and DGM are very similar for their religious themes, apocalyptic threats, darker mood and gothic outlook (although the former is generally more colorful and comedic). Shinra and Allen are both powerful orphans with a special ability, shunned since early age despite their good nature because of a creepy feature, Arthur/Kanda is the sword-wielding rival, while Tamaki is a newer Lenalee with less clothing.

Similiar character design, similiar type of powers

Both have awesome fights and great action animation. Both have young main characters that have incredible powers. Both have older and more experienced characters that guide the younger protagonists on the right path, encouraging them to use their powers to help other people in need.

-Both MCs are on their journey to become someone important (Hero and Hokage) -Interesting settings -Special powers with different categories -Both MCs seek recognition from others -Both MCs suffered loss at an early age -Both series got some cool openings

Both are ecchi/shonen anime with smug rivals and clueless protagonists. Shokugeki is way more humorous, and Fire force has better animation and sound design.
report Recommended by Alternis_Dim
Both are shounen anime about characters with superpowers. They also are both made by David Pro and have the same director.

Both Dr. Stone & Fire Force have amazing OST's and character designs. Both require the same time investment and are high intensity Shonen shows with intriguing plots. These series also complement each other being watched together weekly as they have different strengths but enough similarities that fans of one will likely also enjoy the other. The change of pace between these shows can be refreshing while they still appeal to the same target demographic.

Features a group of youngsters trying to prevent the world succumbing to chaos. Highlighting team work and team building with unique absurd characters. Neither of the anime features too flashy animation and story building.
report Recommended by sora2eugene
Both action heavy super powered shonen shows with main characters who are stigmatised for events in their past that were completely out of their control. Both also seamlessly switch between lighthearted humour and serious/dark scenes

The devils in Fire Force are very similar to the Charlatan in Vanitas. They look similar and have similar attributes. Both have scenarios in the mind where something is trying to control the MC. It's kind of hard to explain some of the connections between these two but if you watch one or the other with the other in mind, it won't be difficult to catch some similarities.

Both feature ranks of trained warriors (Jujutsu sorcerers in jjk and the Fire force in FF) who battle non-human dark entities (curses in jjk and infernals in FF). Both have great world building, art styles and humour.

The same plot where it involves a guy joining a group of specialist that deals with the supernatural.
report Recommended by JiangHaoyi1979
Both have a sentimental sacrifice necessary connected with "monsters" that was go "people" ,though Plastic memories be an "sci-fi romance" with a story board different and Enen no Shouboutai an shounen.

I just noticed both Fire Force and Inferno Cop follow some emergency service that has the power of fire on their side. Fire Force is of course a longer, more developed story compared to the satire legendary Inferno Cop, but they both share the same ground in terms of action and some funny moments to spare in the light humour needed. I do believe their backstories of both Shinra and Inferno Cop are similar in that they seek to destroy those who ruined their lives. Both are pretty good anime, I would give both a shot though they are different in genres by miles.

Squad. Bungo Stray Dogs and Fire Force both follow two MCs who have had excruciatingly bad pasts causing them to join forces to what can be aligned to legal services. BSD doing this with Atsushi's dreaded orphaned life causing him to join the Armed Detective Agency due to his gift. Fire Force following the tragedy that Shinra's family had faced, causing him to find the answers on what happened that day. Both are good action anime with Fire Force being a battle-shounen compared to the 'gang world' BSD gives with a side of comedy.

Ok, so, this might sound kinda out there cause these two anime have nothing in common. Tekkonkinreet is much much much better than Fire Force due to the fact that just about the only good qualities of Fire Force are the sound design and animation. In these categories is where the two are comparable. No matter how bad the plot of Fire Force is, there is no denying that the animation and sound design are stunning, and in my opinion, very similar to that of Tekkonkinkreet. When watching this film, one thing I felt throughout was a sense of overstimulation. The animation works so perfectly  read more

Squad. Fire Force and Assassination Classroom are both anime with teams of people who do well when paired up together. Not much similarities for the plot, but it is as your normal shounen anime would work out as. Both are good action shounen anime, with Fire Force being heavily orientated to the action than the comedy that springs off of Assassination Classroom.

Both Protagonists aims to be a HERO of JUSTICE. MHA gives the same feeling, but personally for me, it is better than Enen No Shouboutai.
report Recommended by Doutei-kun
Both set in a post-apocalyptic future, with a protagonist that is, somehow, an "anomaly" that learns how to use his/her talent and a world that is not what it appears to be. Also, both have great action scenes.

Comeback. Fire Force and Fullmetal Alchemist both follow individuals who have lost family in horrendous ways, searching for the next best thing, the answers, around those who passed away. Fire Force does this with Shinra, after his brother and mother perished in a fire. FMA does this with Ed and Al wanting to resurrect their mother, only to make matters worse by Al losing his body, they go on a quest to find the Philosopher's Stone. Both are great action anime dedicated to the shounen demographic.

In Enen no Shouboutai and Kaijuu 8-gou, we have: 1. Organization that specialized in killing monster-like creatures. 2. The organization divided into squads, and both anime focused the story to one of the squads. 3. Main protagonist got a power that are different from the others.

Both have demonic themes and characters. Both have similarly styled characters. Both don't take themselves seriously and have good humour.

The Fire Hunter and Fire Force have very similar story outlines, but executes them very differently. We follow characters where life has been changed by spontaneously human combustion. Fire Force uses this premise to create an action packed shounen series. The Fire Hunter uses this premise to a more somber historical fantasy series. If you felt that Fire Force had so much unrealized potential then The Fire Hunter might be a great opportunity for you. However, The Fire Hunter has some very painful animation shortcuts so you have accept this to enjoy the anime.

Both shows follow/contain organisations that try to maintain public safety (The Fire Force and Hunter Organisation respectively) and have supernatural aspects and unique & interesting art styles. They also both have great OST's & humour.

Although saying the anime to be similar is an understatement to how good Durarara is, I cannot turn a blind eye at how both anime has the same style of art and direction. Both anime insert a critique towards our society into shounen themed action-drama genre with comedy. We can also say Enen no Shouboutai is a cheap imitation to Durarara.

Heroic firemen and adventurous pirates. Super powers, training sessions and sad backstories. Bad guys, comrades and boobs. Battle shounen, anyone? Their settings, along with the protagonists' goals, may differ but the themes, vibes and characters are akin. We indeed have: the orphaned, highly motivated boy in his late teens; his brother, whom he meets again after years and wishes to save/take back; the older lady simping for the oblivious hero; the muscle head; the self-centered blonde knight; childish comedy; hyperactive action; over the top expressions; questionably written female characters; etc...

Both are action packed battle shounen fantasy stories where the main characters have special powers. Both have main characters that are driven to solve some dark mysteries about their pasts. Both take some inspiration from steampunk. Both are filled with lovable and memorable characters.

Both are about special teams of people with supernatural powers that fight against monsters. Both take place in eccentric and beautifully detailed urban settings, where everything is brimming with life. Both are action packed and have fantastic animation. Both have sets of memorable and lovable characters. Both have brilliant character designs.

If you like firefighter anime I suggest Megumi no Daigo and Enen no Shouboutai which are very similar.

If you like shows where they focus on gradually introducing a bunch of Captains and Lieutenants with various sticks for the protagonist to fight this is something you'd enjoy.

As main characters, Shirou (Fate/stay night) and Shinra (Fire Force) are shaped by their childhood trauma from witnessing the deaths of their family. Because of this, they grew up wanting to become heroes to prevent tragedies from happening to others. When given the opportunity to save others, Shirou and Shinra jumped at the chance, no matter the cost to themselves. Fire Force and Fate/Stay night are some of the best action tv series.

Both shows protagonist are voiced by the same actor. The worlds both shows are set in have similar characteristics, they share a somewhat similar style of comedy, power systems are somewhat similar as well (a general theme that plays around with the established rules to make for interesting combat dynamics).

both show the world after a massive catastrophe, which caused spread of a deadly pandemic disease. naturally, there are people and organizations who try to take it under control and lessen its impact, and those who want to use it as a tool for their own purposes.
