Hello and Welcome to my page ^-^! My hobbies are Gaming and watching Anime and I also love listening to music!
I think I started watching Anime around 2014-15 and it has helped me a lot to grow as a person as opposed to gaming which is pretty much a time killer. I hope as time passes, we get to experience and watch more Anime with a deeper meaning to them, with enjoyable characters and a good plot. Anyways, enough babbling from me. If you want to get to know me, just message me or leave a comment. I look forward to the bright future full of new Anime that's ahead of us :D.
I'm writing this as a former SAO fan. I loved the show, but things changed.
(Why SAO is trash and my thoughts on how this could have been an insane show.)
Yes, I have a whole section for you to read if you would like to.
Just before reading. Mind that I typed as if I could change the show and like I was talking to the creators, but this just goes to show how much I loved SAO and it just kills me inside knowing that it could have been a masterpiece.
Let's start with SAO S1:
The Aincrad Arc should have been the whole S1. Instead of having the 2nd part of the season, also known as ALO (Alfheim Online) the solution was to delete it all. This adds nothing to SAO. What? Some grown ass freak is obsessed with a 17 yo girl and wants to rule over a stupid fairy world. (Don't even get me started on the part where Sugu almost fell in love with Kirito (her COUSIN). That's pathetic and boring. Instead, show the characters' progress until level 50 where you should place 'The Gleam Eyes" as the halfway boss, that's maybe the hard decision as some fans might want SAO to be divided in 2 or a they might want it to look something like "World Trigger" S1. Though there is an easy way out as having people vote on this matter fixes this issue. Anyways back to SAO. Besides showing the main characters' progress, there should be more scenes with Eiji and Yuuna (you'll see why if you keep reading). Showing their background story would have been a great way to give us an inside thought as to who those 2 really are. Talking about these 2 gets me to another point - What the fuck happened to Kirito and Asuna? When did they get married? Why wasn't there the wedding? What happened to them while they lived together in the Log House on the 22nd floor. Aside from this, we have so many side characters that could have been amazing, if used in a story properly. That's where I'll draw the line on S1 I think I've said enough about it.
SAO S2 (GGO):
Delete... Utter trash and a disgrace to the show. The name is SAO and it stands for SWORD Art Online, not GUN Art Online (yes I fucking know what GGO stands for and that's not the point). So, what do we have in this season? ANOTHER girl that falls in love with Kirito, BUT what bothers me the most is how they added GUNS. After this I don't think there's much to say besides what I said in the other paragraph. Have S1 be about 50-60 episodes or just do S1 and S2 Aincrad Arc ONLY. There's only 1 issue when having GGO deleted (if you can even call it an issue). What about Sinon? Simple, Kirito met so many people in SAO Aincrad that at this point, meeting another girl is just whatever. That's for this stupid S2.
SAO: OS:
Here is where the Eiji and Yuuna memories come in place. In SAO: Ordinal Scale the father of Yuuna wants to "extract" all the SAO survivors' memories (Eiji included) and make an AI that's an almost exact copy of his daughter. Where's the problem in the plot? Hmm, ever thought about how NO ONE fucking knows who those 2 are. Like COME ON, sure I'll agree that people have memories of Eiji since he was in the Knights Of The Blood Oath by the name "Nautilus", but what about Yuuna? No one knows who she is besides Eiji, meaning that only his memories will do any work at all. That's that. Besides this the movie is nothing special.
SAO Alicization:
This is the season where I got so hyped up and started thinking positively about SAO again. For me personally the only flaw was again the progression through the tower in the capital. There are 31 integrity knights and how many did Kirito and Eugeo fight? Answer is 11 - Eldrie, Deusolbert, Linel, Fizel, Lady Fanatio, Lady Fanatios' 4 apprentices, Lady Alice and Sir Bercouli. 11/31 is pretty damn low (not even considering the fact that Lady Fanatios' apprentices did nothing...). That's that for this season. The rest is fine I think.
SAO Alicization: War Of Underworld S1:
I mean... What we saw was the usual. Kirito making girls fall in love with him ect., and almost having Alice kiss him. Him being unconscious is eh... The season wasn't about him in general which was great. Having someone else being the main character for a little bit is nice I suppose.
SAO Alicization: War Of Underworld S2:
Where did Eiji and Yuuna come from??? Am I crazy or what. Now Yuuna is alive and well all of the sudden, or is she something like Yui... That's what I found strange and out of place for this season. Something that really could have done the job, would be to show more about Kirito and Asuna's 200 years of memories during the acceleration process.
Conclusion:
Good / Bad
SAO S1: ep.1 - ep.14 fine / ep.15 - ep.24 unnecessary
SAO S2 (GGO): Trash.
SAO (OS): Decent / Bad execution, Massive plot holes.
SAO Alicization: Great story / A bit more "in dept" on certain characters would have been good.
SAO Alicization: War Of Underworld S1: On the edge / The whole season is just buying time on the war as they wait for Kirito to wake up.
SAO Alicization: War Of Underworld S2: ... / Falls short on the hype part (we already knew he would wake up), again the were prolonging the war until Kirito woke up, the fight with Gabriel was too unrealistic and his hatred based transformation made no sense.
So everyone, those were my thoughts on SAO and how it could have been amazing.
