"I wanna be a hero!" - wash, rinse and repeat.
Battles and boys in Tokyo city. Action-fueled anime enhanced with colorful scenery and designs, they have all the typical shounen themes and tropes:
* Outcast but motivated, overpowered protagonist
* Friends, rivals and inspirational older figures
* Superhuman abilities and the training to control them
* Villainous shadowy group
* Regular forces and agencies (police, firefighters) working alongside the heroes
* Dark/tragic backstories
* Childish humour
* Females mostly for the purpose of moe/fanservice
* Characters with unusual teeth, eyes or other body parts
Both series even include plague doctor masks and inventors/mechanics among their supporting cast.
Both are PG-13, albeit MHA is usually more cheery while

Both super powered shonen anime with main characters who are both desperate to become "heroes". Both have supernatural aspects. Both series are very lighthearted in general with good comedy however can also ramp things up when they get serious/dark. Both have excellent OST's and character designs.

They aren't the most similar anime, but they have some similarities.
I can't help but remember Boku no Hero Academia as the MC of Enen no Shouboutai constantly repeats his desire to become a hero.
Also, they are both packed with action and some sort of superpower!

Shonen set in a modern setting with super powers, both have a similar feel with many humorous moments between colorful casts in between high energy action scenes.

Both the main characters (Protagonist) aims to be Hero.
Though, personally for me, "MY HERO ACADEMIA" is much more entertaining than "Enen No Shouboutai".

Wanting to become a hero. Fire Force and My Hero Academia are both anime which feature kids who pursue their dream of becoming a hero.
With Fire Force, Shinra's inspiration to become a hero is after the death of his family which lead him wanting to defeat the people behind the scenes. MHA uses a regular Midoriya wanting to become no. 1 hero after his inspiration All Might.
Both are good action anime with cool visuals, though Fire Force offers more fanservice than MHA.
