Just imagine what if Shirogane is a perfectionist spy and Shinomiya Kaguya is a tsun professional killer, and they adopt an esper cute loli who can read their minds. This manga is basically that.

Both Horimiya and Kaguya-sama are rom-com that touch topics very mature for a shonen-like manga. In both mangas are a really good cast of characters that are very differents but get along well. Also there are several chapters dedicated just to deepen in the characters' past and how they become the person they are.
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
Both the same type of somewhat clever comedy, although in the Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san only one of the characters always has the upper hand.
reportRecommended by MortalMelancholy
Both are romances with teenagers in adolescence, overthinking situations and sometimes not taking action because of love. Sometimes leads to misleading actions that leads to misleading funny scenarios. While Kaguya-sama is more complicated on love, Komi is more simple and more focused on friendship but with a dash of love.

Aishiteru Game, same as Kaguya-sama, is about love between teens, with each mc trying to make the other one fall in love to him/her. The difference roots that in love is war, kaguya and shirogane are genius in different ways, whilst in aishiteru game the mc are normal people only try to act and became cool for the one who he/she loves.
reportRecommended by Flex-dono
Both are romcoms, in both cases characters are geniuses, in both cases one of the characters is from a very wealthy family background. Though Last Game is more on the cute side, and Kaguya-sama more about the duel between the main characters.
reportRecommended by Bacchai
Both contain two characters who, despite having mutual love for each other, let their pride get in the way of confessing. The two works also both make excellent use of narration (in Kaguya-sama's case, narration is used for dramatic effect, while with Sheriff Evans the narrator acts a omniscient snarky commentator on the actions and thoughts of the characters).
reportRecommended by Emiiiiiiiiiiiiii
Very similar in the structure, for the start it's funny and it becomes more serious.
reportRecommended by Kusla
The same author writes the story. The artist is different but has the heart that Kaguya-sama has. Even though I am not into this kind of anime/manga, I loved it, and am hooked on each chapter
reportRecommended by Liapo13
Both are series involving battles of wits between two geniuses from different parts of society who really, really, really want to go to bone town on each other.
reportRecommended by Satanos
Both characters are fighting using their brains so that one of them fallin love. Female character Having high selfishness and high self-esteem, but also tsundere, so they revealed through argument.
reportRecommended by ivialvamart
Same Rom-com vibes of just the 2 Main characters interacting with friends and family about their relationship; but instead of will they wont they, they already get together and are trying to learn more about one another. Very funny and very wholesome.

Did you enjoy Instant Bullet (to some extent)? Then, let me introduce you to another manga by the same author, which is TOTALLY unrelated to anything Instant Bullet has in any way, shape or form! To be serious, as a person who enjoyed Instant Bullet's good mix of drama and comedy (not including angst), you will find more of Akasaka Aka's ability to make the mundane funny and the simple moments emotionally satisfying. Kaguya Wants To Be Confessed To is an ongoing manga by Akasaka and is looking by far to be the author's best work, so you should go read it! It's funny. And hilarious.  read more

It's basically another Kaguya but with different characters from the same author. Unlike Oshi no ko it's a rom-con again, very similar to Kaguya, but I feel like the characters have a potencial to be better written because the author is more experienced now. Please make it more popular it's very good so far!
reportRecommended by her_batka
Both are rom-coms with great humour. In Kaguya-sama main protagonists want to make the other confess. In RikeKoi main protagonists want to prove by science that what they feel is love.
reportRecommended by Wikraw
Both mangas are rom-com with a light-hearted way in each chapter. Also, the relationship of both couples are really sweet, so whe can see cheerful moment between Kaguya and Shirogane/ Tatsu and Kotoka. Also there are very few but funny characters in both mangas, although there is not a deep development in the secondary characters (at least in the first tens chapters, for both mangas).
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
Same feel, very intense. Both good read

Both involve huge (kind of silly) psychological warfare, both really feel like you're reading Death Note in a different setting.
reportRecommended by ExoticBankai
Both are high school romcoms that actually manage to be both funny and cute
reportRecommended by YesThatCinesra
Both have similar genre, and also have unique love story. Heroine have himedere type.

Love is war for highschoolers who just won't be honest about their feelings.
reportRecommended by Edgerunner
While it might not be the main focus in Spice and Wolf, both series have a couple where both are too stubborn to admit their affection and instead engage with tricks, mind games and world plays with each other, in a cute way.
reportRecommended by abystoma2
Both are pretty funny and cute high school romcoms with generally likable main and side characters.
reportRecommended by YesThatCinesra
The comedy is driven primarily by misunderstandings. Kaguya-sama has two characters trying to outfox each other in matters of the heart, together with a cast which serves to complement this. On the other hand, Hinamatsuri features a more subtle and mature brand of comedy which somehow works even with ESP, yakuza, salarymen, salmon roe and kungfu thrown in. The latter will appeal more to older readers.

Both show the lives of the upper class. The two stories start in very different directions, but if you're just in the mood for some high school slice of life with some memorable characters and funny moments that grow on you as the series goes on, I think both series do this extremely well. One is a shonen, the other is a shojo, but I think they both kind of subvert what you'd come to expect from those types of manga.
reportRecommended by phantom1305
The female protagonist is a hard worker and is always alone, their heart was moved after they met our protagonist and falls in love with him. The story often talks about the student council and and both stories has interesting characters.

i dont know about you, but to me tsundere are really pain in the asshes to deal with, so if you're looking kaguya ver 2.0 but worse then this is way to go for you
reportRecommended by Anggi14
Where NakaWarui is fast paced and brimming with blushes and "baka"s every chapter, Love Is War takes it a lot slower and spends time to fully flesh out these two tsunderes. The former focusses on the development of a relationship after being lawfully wedded, while the latter focusses on the same development, but with being lawfully wedded as both of their inner dreams.

Kaguya and Lookism might be a weird recommendation, but i feel some similarity between the 2 when reading them. Similarity: While Kaguya sama is a romcom SoL manga about Miyuki and Kaguya, this manga also shows events that doesn;t have anything to do with the plot just to entertain the reader, it may sometimes also go really far away from the manga. Similarly to Lookism, it also have events not related to the plot just to entertain the reader, the difference are that the events in lookism happens in few chapters while Kaguya sama is in 1 chapter, almost like oneshot. Difference: There are a lot of difference  read more

One is set in the student council a prestigious high school and the other is set in a.. shady college 'diving' club, but both series feature great comedy and are actually building towards romance in a way that is.. believable? I guess? Both series like poking at tropes in an obvious way, too. Grand Blue has way more indecent exposure than Kaguya, though.

Both Himeno and Kaguya have some tsundere/yandere traits
reportRecommended by nienai
In both mangas, the girl is from a very rich and popular family while the protag is not from a well-known or rich family, so they work hard to be on the same level as the girl they love while their family resists to let them get together.
reportRecommended by Cringe_Farhan
Not much resemblance except this is both a Romcom. I recommend this because the story is very good where Uryuu who is an atheist is thrown out of his house behind the temple and asked to marry one of the 3 shrine maidens and become the heir of the shrine.
reportRecommended by Yukino_chan99
Both have this cuteness of teenagers not knowing exactly how they feel and learning step by step how to understand themselves and their significant other.
reportRecommended by VMPrecoma
Similarly to Kaguya Sama, Ao no Hako is another more mature take on the typical shounen romance formula. Ao no Hako may not be quite as well constructed as Kaguya, but it scratches a similar itch and it's core romance is incredibly compelling.
reportRecommended by MizGit
Both male lead less sensitive to heroine. Similar school setting Osis member.
reportRecommended by Syureria
Both are comedic, parody romcoms (Kami Nomi being a harem), but later become more plot-driven.
reportRecommended by nienai
If you're looking for a mature romance, both of them are good choices. You will find : - a lot of smart dialogues and cute teasing between the two main characters. - a slow developement that comes to a satisfying conclusion. - a great art style.

same type of romcom where both the main character wants their crush to get flustered or confess first

Both of them are wonderful comedy romances with an interesting plot and good storyline

While at first sight these two Manga might not have much in common, they share some themes. 1. Romance: Both Manga feature MCs that love each other but can't get together yet. The reasons are completely different, but in both cases it results in playful teasing. 2. Artstyle: Not much to say here, the Art is great. 3. Comedy/Drama mix: Same as Art, the Comedy is great in both cases. And the balance between serious and funny chapters is about the same. 4. Setting: While they are set in completely different Universes (Victorian Era Fantasy vs High School in current Day Japan) the setting with "High  read more

The main guy in this manga kinda reminds me of the main male character in Kaguya-sama, Miyuki Shirogane. Nega is similar to Miyuki because 1) They both have eyebags under their eyes and 2) They both have misconceptions about the girl they like looking at them with disgust. However, little do they know that they have mutual feelings. Both series are both funny and you get to see their relationship progress from both the girl's and guy's perspective.

Both mangas are comedies about high school students that usually just do random things in each chapter. However, the humor in both mangas is very similar. For example, the topic of "mating" is treated in a very funny way and also there are a mixed cast of character, so you don't get bored while read it.
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
First of all... kaguya-sama is a rom-com manga and Machikado mazoku is some kind of fantasy-comedy manga. However, both mangas know how to transform a very serious and important moment(mostly trying to convey some motivational message) in a funny one just with the appereance of one random character. Also the development of their personalities is something that I feel very similar since the main characters of these mangas are not the same at the beginning in comparison with their latest chapters. You can feel a little but pleasant change in their personalities.
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
Both are rom-com stories about two person who tends to misunderstand each other. Also both mangas have a few but very funny and enjoyable characters.
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
1) Both stories are about a group of students doing eccentric things. 2) In both mangas are treated several themes about real life. 3) Both mangas have a motley cast of characters. 4) Both main character are considered a "really good person" (though their personalities are different).
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
Both mangas are rom-com about a group of high school students, like a lot that are in Japan nowawdays, but these two cover topics that are common for teenagers either good (such as love, friendship, the typical japanese cliché) or bad (like bullying, social status, etc).
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
Both mangas are rom-com about genius, with a lot of misunderstandings that put to the characters in really funny situations.

Two studentes compete with each other as they try to outsmart the other one while finding it hard to be honest about their romantic feelings. Both are romcoms with some drama mixed in.
reportRecommended by abystoma2
- An heiress falls for a not-so-normal commoner - Gramps and Akane are together basically the equivalent of Hayasaka - A group of friends - Multiple pairings - Comedy with points where it gets very serious The main difference is that Kaguya is a slow burn where they’re struggling to get into a relationship, whereas the couple gets together pretty early on in Ojojojo and the story is about their struggles as a couple and in their friend circle as well as being... normal. The main characters in both series are complete morons, socially.
reportRecommended by Surana
Both mangas are light-paced rom-com about the activities of a group of students in a club (but in Kaguya sama is the Student Council's room). Also both main male characters are very dense in various situations, so there are a lot of funny moments and misunderstandings between them and the female protagonist. Besides, there are a joyful cast of supporting characters that are aware about how each main character feel about the other.
reportRecommended by Kiakrre
Both manga are focused on the shenanigans of two seemingly perfect students who aren't as perfect under the surface, with a character driven story.
reportRecommended by ShizukaR
Similar in how the interactions between the couples are explored and described. Similar comedic style as well.
reportRecommended by unnamedhuman
Both are romantic comedies set in highschool with very stuck up and prideful MCs, which are surrounded by a bunch of lovable idiots while they get close to one another.

In both manga very popular but prideful characters try to make others fall for them, without confessing.
reportRecommended by xShinigami3125
The comparison might be a little odd but both manga involve a lot of mind games and intelligent characters trying to trick eachother just unlike Death Note Kaguya sama is all about romance. So if you are interested in a Death Note without the philosophy but love instead this is the manga for you .

I feel these two are somewhat similar in their overall impression, but Kore wa Ai janai is the straight up version while Kaguya-sama is the over the top parody version. Both are a bickering / rivalry type of romance. Kaguya and Shirogane both don't want to lose by being the first to confess. Kujou wants Izumi to remember something, but he can't straight up tell her, or else he feels like he'd lose. If you enjoyed Kaguya-sama in part because you actually like shoujo, I think you might like Kore wa Ai janai. If you like Kore wa Ai janai for its humorous rivalry, you'll  read more

While both series are most definitely a comedy series, they both use and blend their comedic elements with other aspects of the story. The comedy is used to accentuate scenes, either by giving an outlet for the dramatic tension, or by exploring aspects of the characters that exist in their worlds. The comedy is also character driven. Rather than creating silly one-liners and then reusing them when the author runs out of idea, both series uses the quirks and relationships between their characters to create humor. While Saiki Kusuo has more meta moments because of the fantastical nature of psychic powers allows for such things, it  read more

Both manga series have a male and female lead that seems like they have dated before but in actuality, they don't have any experience and end up being awkward around each other. They're both cute and funny and have romance. While Kaguya-sama is set in a high school setting, it's a seinen while this series is a shoujo despite them being in their late 20's to early 30's. If you enjoy comedy that has things like internal panicking and screaming due to inexperience in romance, I think you would enjoy Kaguya-sama as well.
